i truly do not believe an extra $200 was holding back a huge wave of people from buying cans. SBR's is another story, but those have always been quicker anyways.

I dont think nfa wait times are going to skyrocket wait times back to several months any only people or companies with skin in the game trying to rile up last minute sales are saying otherwise.
>>
>>64689496
I don't think so either in all honesty.
I just don't know how the ATF will react to the changes and the government never really reacts "positively" to changes.
I think the fingerprints and getting put in a government list is what's holding most people back.
I stopped caring
So what I'm on another list
I'm sure that cardboard I'm shooting doesn't care

Hello everyone. I know how to reload ammo but I lack certain mathematical concepts that are needed to work a load backwards from projected performance. I know you lot can be pretty smart so can you help me? I want to find chamber pressure. The cartridge in question is 7.62x25.

Case:
>7.62x25
Bullet weight:
>265 grains
Velocity:
>1000 fps

I want 300blk but smaller and dumber.

>>
>>64687917
I stand corrected. Kinda incredible what a tiny case is capable of even at low to medium max pressure. I was however considering normal OAL from a pistol-length barrel.

>>64687851
True.
>>
>>64685938
Where exactly did I say any of that? I picked x25 because it will fit in both 9mm and 556 bolt faces. You seem really insecure
>>
>>64689366
>because it will fit in both 9mm and 556 bolt faces
neg
223 is .380 case head size, 9mm and x25 are slightly larger
you'd need a 5.45 bolt head
>>
>>64685651
how about .338 spectre? it's pretty close to what you want
>>
>>64689366
7.62x25 won't fit a standard AR bolt face, but you can actually form 7.62x25 brass from .223 or .300 and use it in a Tokarev.

Not sure how or why, but the instant I saw the thread, this idea popped into my head. What's the verdict, boys?
>>
>>64689349
Any gun, but require the user to pay a subscription to be able to fire the weapon, and if they're not subscribed, have a device on the weapon that accepts credit card payments for an even higher price that allows you to temporarily fire it for a designated time period.
>>
>>64689594
>>64689597
These, but three barrels with a swashplate instead of a pivoted beam.
>>
>>64689628
>be you
>get shot at
>forgot to pay your subscription
>have to hurriedly take out your card and pay some outrageously expensive price while being shot at because you don’t have time to care
kino idea, someone hire this man

Pistol related but last question thread died a while ago. Are all 1911 .45 barrels interchangeable with all other 1911 models? I've got a Kimber and want a threaded barrel for it and I'm wondering if I should just get a Kimber barrel for it.

I had seen the trick with electrical tape mentioned before, just didn't really like the idea of having to fiddle with something like that if I didn't have to
good to know it's less of an issue than I had made it out to be in my head though, will play it by ear (eye?) - thanks chief
>>
>>64689066
Ye, get you an LED COG or that $2000 mega cog that has a fiber optic adjustment wheel if you're not keen on the electrical tape. Personally, I never felt the need to mask it.
>>
>>64689081
well since we're on the topic, I found this guy's product that basically amounts to an LED housed in a polymer casing that acts as a controllable dimmer/brightener for an ACOG that someone skimming might find useful
https://m1bullpup.com/product/rem-acog/

could also serve as a cheap way to bring an old one that's run out of tritium back from the dead
considering grabbing one since theyre only $45 but I think I'll see what I'm working with first before I commit on that front
>>
>>64688652
Yes, they pretty much all write open ended disclaimers like that and put big bolt "READ THE MANUAL" labels all over their guns. This is specifically so that if there is a malfunction, somebody gets hurt/killed and there's a lawsuit their legal team can go.
>Well it says here, there and in the other place in the manual that it can blow up and kill you if you use it wrong.
>Using it wrong can mean 9001 different possible things, one of which you surely were doing.
>And surely you read the manual.
>Says right on the gun to read the manual before shooting it.
>Oh yeah you DIDN'T read the manual? I guess the gun going off and severing your spine is YOUR fault then, not ours you absolute idiot.
It doesn't always actually work as a defense tactic, but it definitely makes things harder and wastes a lot of time/drives up legal costs for the plaintiff.

In a world with 3d printing I'm kind of a luddite. I want to do a weldless mating of a stribog lower to an m11/9 upper using box tubing. I know I could do it, but I don't want to end up with a monstrosity. Are there any schematics available that would give me an idea of what would be involved with mating them?

The “Mora Hunting Set” has interested me. For saw there is the Casstrom, or any folding saw brand out there. A dual purpose saw like a Silky would be nice if you wanted to start a fire.
>>
>>64686507
I use a wire saw and a Victorinox flexible boning knife, the kind that butchers and chefs use. They aren't anything fancy but are very practical. They cost about $35, the grip has a fine texture on it that works great even if your hands are dirty or bloody, they are very sanitary.

>>64687850
silky saws are awesome for general purpose outdoors stuff, bushcraft, etc. I've never tried to use one on bone though, I'm not sure how well they would work for that given the style of teeth they have. Perhaps they work great?
>>
>>64686507
>Could have used a small saw,
Actual pro-tip:
Don't use a saw on animal carcasses.
Use a cleaver or a hatchet.

Saws create bone dust, meat contaminated with bone dust rots and spoils prematurely.
>>
>>64685164

>>
>>64687340
Númenorians explored the entire world on their airships and brought potatoes from the Land of the Sun to Middle-Earth. The art of halfling potato agriculture in the Old World was lost after the 4th age thousands of years ago during the collapse of their civilization when they returned to a hunter-gatherer lifestyle, and other races appear to have not grown the plant, leading to its extinction until reintroduction after the time of Columbus.
