What is the most autistic /k/ type of thing you do regularly? For me, I like eating food from the can pretending I'm eating a C Ration from WWII.I'm also kind of uncomfortable when I'm not wearing my OD M65 pants (the button in liner is God tier). This is a friendly thread: no euro or american bashing, no twitter, and we'll most definitely NOT be talking about politics. Thank you.
I like to imagine the perfect cyberpunk fit, and what it would look like to actually be functional. A combination of SBRs and offensive ewar, basically. Also, I loaded my HK and tactically cleared my house one day to exfil cereal from my pantry.
Sometimes I like to take my shit box car out for a drive at night in an area where there's no one else around, radio and vents off, and pretend I'm in a WWII bomber on a night run to bomb Hamburg
Whenever I go to some thrift store or antique or just old stuff shop I always have my nose tuned into surplus gear. Doesn't matter the place, if it's got old shit Ima be looking for surplus shit every time, even if I'm looking for something else entirely.

Hello everybody, Bonkanon here. Today we'll be making a morning star from exotic African hardwoods. Most of the materials are in picrel. Wenge for the head and shaft (hehe), a piece of black-and-white ebony for the handle, and some African Blackwood for handle accents & pommel.
>>64715698You should make a Macuahuitl that is a reproduction of the long, thin one they had in Madrid (until they lost it in a fire)I don't have the picture on hand but Iirc the blade section is like 4 feet long and 4 inches wide, and the obsidian pieces are set flush with one another so they act as a continuous blade.Mostly, because I'd like to see what it looks like.
>>64742196He could scale it down, ofc. Though if its not bonk enough, then maybe a trebuchet?

>>64743833I do both. I used HSS tools to make the spike dowels and some of the finer details, but most of the main body was done with carbide. One thing I learned doing this project, is that you can control the surface finish of some woods with your choice of tooling. Carbide cuts more like a scraper and Wenge has very long open grain so it left a lot of tearout and really showed a rough grain texture, as you'd expect using a scraper 90 degrees to the grain of any wood. HSS tooling cuts more like a knife and would leave a lot smoother surface on the Wenge. In hindsight, I think this would have looked better if I finished it with HSS, but I'm glad I tried the carbide because it gives the exact look I want for a new project I've been thinking about for months and am finally getting ready to start.>>64743988I did think about that when I was doing research for my project but decided against it because I think that one is ugly
Are there any videos/articles that predicted, either horribly or eerily well, how Russia's war in Ukraine would go? Especially concerning the military campaign. This popped up in my feed for some reason and think it made some good predictions but completely missed the drone warfare aspect and overestimated how well the Russians would do, but atleast captured the fact that it wouldn't be over in days/weeks like some did during the time. https://youtu.be/Z9c_HhpvBpg?si=23WNr_6ZRtzhcFqM
>>64730850>really you can trace this all back to not full on invading in 2014 and instead giving Ukraine 10 years to get its shit semi together. You are naive. Russia did invade in 2014. First with proxy forces, and when those got murdered, they've sent in the real full blown army, as a way to stop the LDNR+ from total collapse. It was a pretty bloody fight since they've basically did a flanking attack, but still got fucked up quite a bit in the process. That resulted in the much memed "fried buryats". They couldn't do better in 2014 for a whole number of reasons, including but not limited to the reforms and rearming programs still not being done, but also not having the logistic to support the operation. They've invested 8 years of additional preparations post-2014 into the large scale invasion, literally building new rail lines, new logistic bases, new training bases, new military bases, creating new army detachments and so on and so forth. The reason why they couldn't do "just go home in 2022 and prove the CIA were lying" is because 2022 was their best chance, since the more they've waited the worse it would get for them in the long run due to demographics, economy (their economic model lost steam by 2012) and internal politics. The issue was them blowing their load prematurely in 2014 as a stupid reaction to the maidan revolution, and thus showing their cards (which forced ukies to react and start cleaning house, rebuilding the army and so on). Back in 2014 you could see a ton of the RU niche military talking heads whining that this all happened too soon, they needed at least 5 more years to prepare for the war.

I am about to import 80,500 of these indian hesbee 22 short single shot handguns. They are currently in transit being shipped from India. They have sat in storage as they were built in 1959 as gunlaws became more restricted in India. If you were in my shoes, how do I make this business venture successful. I purchased each pistol at 2160 rupees (around 24$) and they cost me ($1500 for import and $5000 in shipping) so i am in for abit under $2mil. Do you think people will actually buy these or should I put my house for sale ASAP?

What you all think of these? Anyone play with one? Thinking it might be my next “night stand” gun. Any opinions on the new frame mounted de-cocker? Any better models to consider?
Dunno how all the various 92 models are different, but I like my Vertac. My home defense gun is a 10.3" AR is keep suppressed. I cuddle with it when I sleep.
Hard to beat a 92fs. I’m building an old model centurion d from parts. I like it so far. I’m converting the decock to a safety. I’d just get a full size 9mm though. The only reason I got this one is that I can my 15rd mags through it no problem.
>>64743356>>64743456As far as the centurion, I like the slightly smaller size. Previous night stand gun was a m&p2.0 9 compact 4”. Was a fine gun, but kinda wanna 92 again.
For nightstand why not get a full size? M9A4 is better for this use case. 92FS is awesome, but no rail for a light makes it less ideal in this role.
>>64743907Just like the smaller size, plus if I decide to carry it someday, or decide to bring it on a trip, I imagin the slightly shorter slide would be more convenient. I believe the difference is only an inch in barrel length, so I doubt the full size has any advantage other than being slightly heavier, with less felt recoil.

A decent semi-auto DMR is better than AR style rifles for a guerilla. Prove me wrong.
>>64742541Well that's why you don't do that. You wait to find, or create yourself, an isolated target. Then you bring enough friends to overwhelm it in a close ambush. Even if the goal is to just shoot and sprint away, a light, easily carried, fully-automatic weapons is best. What tactics can a prospective Tanker captain use when the U.S. of United States is threatening to board and steal the ship and all the oil?Do they at least have like .50 cals they can mount really quick and send up suppressing fire against the helicopters or the rappelling troops? Is the bridge sealable so they can't get in without explosives? Do they have like a small arms weapons locker with shotguns and other close quarter weapons? What if they like do zig zags back and forth to avoid the troops having a good surface to repel into and then they pull like crazy Ivans?

>>64741288>I recall reading somewhere that low-cost car production barely turns a profit compared to selling giant station wagons, so it makes no sense for a new, tiny ass company like Tesla to try and break into it.German car manufacturers tried this approach and the result was german factories getting closed while Chinese car production exploded. Mass manufacturing cars is still necessary, a small hatchback might not be as profitable as a Porsche but you can sell dozens of hatchbacks for every Porsche you sell.Tesla is selling well over a million cars a year, it's not tiny by any stretch of the imagination. High margin vehicles low production vehicles is also how Tesla got started before it had enough manufacturing capacity to mass produce 3's and Y's

>>64745250Exactly, though the reason why western manufacturers are abandoning the low-cost segment also has a lot to do with government policyWestern governments are like>you can't produce cars that are too unsafe or polluting, you must respect the unions and can't fire unproductive employees unless they murder someone and if you ever break any of the rules we will fine you billions. We'll be nice and give you tax breaks every now and then if you're in trouble though.Meanwhile in China>here's 100 trillion yuan, cheap land, rural slaves and subsidized materials. You can pollute as much as you want as long as you're producing anything that has 4 wheels and an engine. We'll make sure you also own at least 51% of any joint venture with foreign manufacturers so make sure to steal whatever tech you can get your hands on. Make sure to make EV's instead of ICE cars though, we basically have a monopoly on batteries and you guys suck at making ICE cars anyway.
