Pic related. They're both the same price, but the joytoy one is>3x Bigger>Full articulation, you can keep adjusting pose>Painted better than 75% of models, shaded, highlighted, all with airbrush>Better sculpted, no bubbles, no mould shifts, no cleanup>Fully assembled >Better customer service. Any refunds no questions askedWith things like this out there, how do you justify GW prices? You're literally burning money.
I like that your argument isn't that GW is making money they shouldn't be, but consuming are giving them money the wrong way and they should be purchasing OP's GW product of choice.Instead of a different game.
>>97227322GW cucks are like that.
>>97227293>>3x BiggerSeems like that'd make it hard to use in a game.

>>97227293Customer service might be a point, but I don't buy from GW directly. But I would not buy from Joytoy directly either. So it comes down to each individual store I buy from, but yes, support from AliExpress sellers is usually extremely good.Everything else is a negative to me. I would love if Joytoy would sell unpainted kits of their models tho. Why would I want propainted action figures if I want to wargame?

To claim that you just want to “throw some dice” is absurd when metafags are the least casual players you can go against. My last game had my opponent go over the entire meta leaderboard status of the top teams and how the newest dataslate could impact the upcoming this and that other fuckin tournament. Who gives a shit. >>97216044I’ve never met the latter in my life in any game. I would find a /yourdudes/ autist pretty annoying i’m sure but i’ve yet to even meet one to make this observation. The most fun games are somewhere in the middle where it’s a good clean fun game where the rules are observed but both sides remember that we are trying to simulate dudes fighting eachother and not merely moving spreadsheets around
>>97222716>both sides remember that we are trying to simulate dudes fighting eachother and not merely moving spreadsheets aroundNot instigating anything, but what would this look like to you? And how would it impact the game or enhance the enjoyment of the battle? I ask because used to live in a place where our local spot tried to implement a sort of narrative campaign but it ended up just being limply implemented and mostly limited to a whiteboard map that got colored in depending on what faction (Chaos, Xenos, Imperium) won the most games in any given week. For me, KT has fun rules and good game design so just the act of playing is enjoyable; you could strip out the flavor of the teams and it still would be enjoyable on a mechanical level. Obviously the flavor is what adds the special spice to the game, getting to interact with the factions/setting you like and all that comes with that, but at its heart KT is still a warGAME to me.
Anyone played the new raveners ?How do they play ? are they more of a aggro team or do they just hide in their tunnel and do missions mostly ?

It's not under psychology.Special rules for flame weapons in the armory book>In 2ed you can't fire through other models in the same unit, right? I couldn't find the exception.nope, no exception, although large targets can be sighted over smaller models. In practice it rarely matters because of the severe firing arc restrictions, and because sighting any model in an opposing squad is enough. You also wind up splitting fire a LOT more in 2e than you'd think. Losing split fire entirely was actually one of the bigger complaints when the edition change rolled out. Letting you fire through models in the same squad was partly a quick-fix for that. A whole bunch of the tweaks in 4e were trying to get around people using precise unit placement and range fuckery to "snipe" exactly the models they wanted out of an enemy unit, as well as prevent the defender from playing shell games with wounds to avoid losing specific models.

Littlewars TV is running a campaign of Unternehmen Wintergewitter, the abortive attempt of Von Manstein to relieve the Stalingrad pocket in late 1942. This seems to be a pretty popular topic recently, Donnerschlag from VUCA sims is a hex 'n chit version of this battle. In any case they have produced a stripped down version of Fistful of TOWs and also this fantastic document with linked scenarios. This is really what I'm looking for in any wargaming ruleset. I fucking hate rulebooks with dozens upon dozens of pages of army lists and special rules but NO scenarios, or just a few generic ones without force compositions. Any recommendations for similar campaign / scenario booklets? Ideally with an overarching goal and decision tree of scenarios like this one?

Never post direct links to the archive anywhere in plain text.If you're wondering where to start:- The Basic Set covers everything, including a lot of optional rules you probably won't use.- A genre guide can be found in the archive, under Unofficial/GURPSgen. I was thinking about getting some Black Wolves, but man, they kind of suck. I feel like I should just get the Leonidases
>>97227899If my aunt had wheels, she'd be a bicycle.
>>97227918I think the Leonidas is a great all-rounder with its stealth armor, but for flexibility to take on other BA and larger targets you really only have the option of the David.Black Wolves are tough though for BA, with reactive making them resistant to the normal infantry counters, and the ERSPL or LBX gives them damage enough to keep mechs worried. The JJ is really just to get them a TMM, but it can also get them down from vantages if you had time to set them up on buildings or cliffs.I bought minis for both for my mercenary company since I was planning on using them to babysit conventional infantry; there's pros and cons for either.
>>97224296>>97224309Not really no, an IS Regiment is at least twice that number, arguably three times.
>>97222448Mechs can still jump with BA riding on them but vehicles cannot. Look at the phrasing of the rule, Mechs and Vehicles are two distinct categories of units.
