Why are you here crying and bitching about Sorcery 24/7 when every other TCG 10x more expensive cards and more predatory way of business. MTG, Pokemon, Yugioh all got cards that cost thousands of dollars and we are talking about non-foil, non-collector edition cards. On top of that, for these games you usually nees to wield a set of 4x cards while for Sorcery you only need one for uniques.

Your hatred towards Sorcery is absurd and delusional and feels so fucking petty, like you just decided that you wont like this game no matter what and the more other people enjoy and talk about this game, the more bitter and mental you go till you are here 24/7 attacking every poster that dares to like Sorcery.

Fucking get a life or kill yourself.

Pokemon is extremely cheap if you want to play the game. Yugioh is more expensive, but everything gets reprinted into the ground, and its a game that has playsets of 3. Both games are only expensive you want to max rarity things, and, in Yugioh's case, the first few weeks when a set releases.

He thinks it's a rug pull since one Canadian distributor does not have it. Gameplay/Deck construction discussions happen, but it's never good enough. Speaking of which, a lot of my ideas for battlemage is fitting nicely into an interigator deck. Persecutor has been really fun to build as well.

What elements are you building for Interrogator? Air seems like a good choice just for Grapple Shot, Whirling Blades and Sturmgeist. I'm building a budget Fire Savior and Air/Water Harbinger right now. I pulled some nice foils from my box that I'm hoping to trade to the local FoilWhale for some of the Uniques I'm still missing.

This is a second OSRG, seperate from the main osrg thread, where you CAN talk about 2e, retroclones, and any osr content you want.
This is different than the regular osrg as due to rampant trolling from a handful of bad actors, discussion is impossible.

>What are your favorite monster synergy encounters?
I'm the anon who posted >>97227844 earlier. I'm still liking the idea of were-whatevers serving as mounts until combat starts/a little after. If things get dire for them they may infect already injured minions. The drawback is that the new were-creatures would be basically guaranteed to be feral.
For a different idea I like the idea of a desert encounter where a bulette is after the party. Like the movie tremors there are some rocks that are safe spots to stand on. Unfortunately there is a monstrous bird that has started hunting with the bulette. When they stand on the rocks it tries to push the party members off and onto the sand. If someone is a Halfling or other small race, they risk just getting carried by the bird and dropped far away from the rocks. The bulette and the monster bird tend to split meals evenly, if someone gets caught out from the party they will do their best to catch that person.

The other responses to this have put in some options. It's a setting and not a system, but Qelong is a setting based on fantasy Cambodia that is currently being fucked up by a war between wizards that is happening adjacent to it. An artifact from their war worked its way there and is causing all sorts of problems. I'll be honest, I don't know how good it is, but it is a source you could look at for some ideas.

Anyone planning to play any Christmas Specials? One-shots or variations on your regular game? Our group often has a Christmas special of some kind, either some unique silly monsters, or the current party portalled to the North Pole, or some villain stole all their magic items for presents, that kind of thing. What does your group do for the holidays?

What deck are you using, anon? Edison has some meta decks that have plays, cards and interactions that gatekeeps the more rogue strategies. For example, if your deck has a bad time against the likes of Deck Devastation Virus or Royal Oppression, I can tell you that things are going to be rough.

I am new and think this deck looks cool. Is there any helpful anon that could assist me in identifying the extra deck cards? GPT-sama told me this was a Runic deck..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGEMYtUNSXM
>>
>>97232367
The cards in the Extra Deck are:
Malong, Trisukta, Silvera, Rciela, Queen Diabell, Shenshen, Baronne, Prime-Heart, Chaos Angel, Psychic End Punisher, Luluwalilith, Linkuriboh, Knightmare Goblin, Silhouhatte Rabbit and Avramax.
In that order.

What should I play / modify if I want to run Dark Souls? Specifically like a super dungeon crawl, old-school on a grid.

I want to run something people can drop in and out of, and something where I don't have to think about plot, just focus on mechanics. I thought the Undead from DS was a perfect fit for this - stick with one character who can die over and over. Focus on map design, enemy placement and behaviour, and big set-piece boss encounters.

I know there's a few systems out there, by all accounts Dark Souls RPG is dogshit. I don't need anything with RP elements, just something that will feel good on a grid; something with that reactive/dodge+block based combat. I've thought about ways to adapt 5e, 3.5, PF, but not sure how to get that 'speed and spacing' kinda combat.

>>97229495
I'd say the TSR era works because it has a similar attitude towards lethal combat and careful dungeon crawling. It doesn't replicate the action aspects well, but it's pretty clear that chasing that feeling is very hard mechanically and you're Dark probably better focusing on other aspects of the atmosphere for authenticity. Souls magic is just directly Vancian, at least. Just with different spells and schools.
>>
>>97228830
Depends how close you want to be to Dark Souls power level and how complex you want the game to be.
>maximum trash to godlike powerlevel but high complexity
Runequest
>highly involved and reactive combat with that sweet back and forth but actually not that time consuming, and powerlevel largely realistic to heroic
Mythras. Note that HP are pretty much never changing. Powerful heroes are much better at avoiding getting stabbed, but a proper hit still has decent chances to take someone out of the fight. It's Runequest but a bit more modern and with a lower power ceiling.
>vaguely OSR deadly feel but actually surprisingly durable and heroic PCs if they know what they're doing
Dragonbane. Also derived from Runequest and it manages to keep lots of what makes mythras great, while being a lot simpler and gentler at the table.

It also depends how your players are. Mythras would be my first pick, because combat hits that sweet complexity level of 5e in levels 5 to 10. The problem is that you start right there already so your slower players might struggle with the onboarding. Dragonbane is a lot gentler here.
>>
>>97229495
>any variant of DnD is very much the wrong answer
Anon, dark souls is literally based on D&D concepts directly ripped out of 2e and 3e.

Welcome to /un0/, an RP thread for playing a World of Darkness/Chronicles of Darkness Hunter. For any OOC questions about WoD/CofD, check the official general. >>97224887

Rules:
>We are acephale. There is no storyteller, we are not a quest.
>This thread is based primarily but not exclusively in the nWoD/CofD game Hunter: the Vigil. However, Vigil is defined by being highly setting agnostic, with a system for creating entirely custom monsters that do not exist in other WoD/CofD games. Thus, you have significant freedom in what you want to play and what you want to hunt. Feel free to play a member of the Society of Leopold, or a member of the Lucifuge hot on the tail of a Lasombra.
>Namefagging is encouraged but by no means mandatory.
>Keep in mind that even highly experienced Hunters typically only have fractured pieces of the puzzle, and every table has their own canon. The night is dark and full of misinformation.
>/un0/ is conceived of as an experimental end to end encrypted program that is very hard to compromise, retains very little data and purges that data regularly. Please play an actual Hunter.
>Spoiler any OOC discussion.

Happy hunting.
Unless this thread somehow takes off like a rocket, this will be the last un0 thread for the foreseeable future. Towards the end of the thread, please give your feedback in regard to these shorter, limited run RP threads.

I think the drink of alcoholic drink of choice for the typical depiction of High Elves, or the more cultured and sophisticated ones. They would drink something with a decent alcoholic content, maybe around 15% alcohol content. Something fruity, not necessarily grapes but sufficiently aged to perfection. Something with an inviting aroma but actually light on fruit flavor so its not like drinking a sugary fruit juice. I can't see High Elves settling on anything less than perfection.

Here's an idea for the human semen cattle fetish in relation to elves in an amazon setting, using hentai settings as a base. What do anons think?
>Known as the Fae, Elves, Fairies, Fair Folk, Dryads etc.
>Elves are essentially the gardeners and protectors of World Trees, who created them for such purposes
>They are only women, but are physically weak, around even with men
>Their protection methods involve hidden settlements, traps, glamours and other in-direct defenses
>However, once these defenses are bypassed, elves are pretty defenceless against other warrior women, and would often get enslaved
>Enslaved elves were used as servants, entertainers, and even sex slaves
>Despite not being born sexually, they are capable of sexual reproduction, and would get impregnated by human men
>Unlike elves born from World Trees, elves born of an elf are not defenceless, they can take on human women in even combat
>These elf born elves would then lead slave revolts, liberating their tree born elves and kidnapping several men to perpetuate themselves
>Will regularly raid humans or extract tribute of males, in practical terms because they need to in order to have proper defenders, but also because sex is pretty fun

rugged geography. Plenty of uninhabitable features on the map carving territories apart.
That makes cultures more insular isolated and allows for diverse cultures to prop up.
Greece is the third mosr mountainous country in europe. Therefore in the small valleys, nooks and crannies different city states propped up. Macedonia is mostly flat filled with rivers and lakes. So it was a kingdom. You get the gist.
The Mesopotamian city states were all found in a fertile region dominated by rivers surrounded by inhospitable environments, so regions were cut up by these rivers and their offshoots and made natural borders for city states developing.

MECTech check

In a casual guy and I’m designing my weapons from a game-y mechanics perspective rather than any amount of realism.

>for context, Mechs can move(usually)3 spaces + 2 if they ‘dash’
>guns have a base range(example - 7) and a maximum range(2 or 3times the base range)
>every multiple over your base range that you shoot, you gain stacking disadvantage to accuracy
>long range rifle-type guns have a range of 8(24)
>mid range full auto rifles/machine guns have a range of 6(12 or 18)
>handguns have a range of 5(usually 10 or 15)

>all melee weapons have a range of 1
>all melee weapons get an automatic level of advantage to hit, making them more accurate
>most melee weapons also have a secondary effect on hit like knock down or grapple

I find shotguns tricky as well.

Logically, shells full of scattering shot are a much better weapon for attacking NOT armored targets... and mechs ain't that.

The shell fires multiple smaller-than-the-shell projectiles, granting either an increased chance to hit or an increased number of hits from a single shot. The tradeoff is less damage and penetration per single projectile. OK.

This kind of attack is extremely effective against unarmored being and structures (like wooden doors and apartment walls) while being pretty bad against armor. But- but- ...everyone loves mecha shotguns, naturally! So, what to do?

Recommendations offered to me usually amount to "have them do high damage at close range but get wimpy fast as range increases." I feel like that's really reductive. I tend to think of shotshells as having poor penetrating power but being devastating if armor is penetrated.

I thhhhhhink the thing to do is to reduce penetration (just by a little bit*) but give a pretty impressive bonus to internal damage or criticals or whatever. Something like that.

*Because any reduced penetration at all is pretty unappealing.
