They are Troy Denning fiction which should tell you enough already. In a story already story full of Mary Sues this is something spectacular. Characters have the implausible ability to travel at the speed of plot rather than by believable means. When they're not on stage things just develop conveniently. The wizard woman's powers just develop. There's no sense of threat after the first novel, and not much in that one.Of course, they take on the worst bad guys around, how else can they do anything else in a fantasy novel, but in doing so they make a mockery of the the Dragon, a unique monster who's supposed to the baddest bad guy around, so bad that he was created solely to be badder than and to keep in check the next baddest bad guy.>>97257781They are bad. There may always be people weird about guns, but the game is never going to support guns being an equalizer between Exalted and mortals. The guns that are impressive to Exalted are the kind of Artifact guns and blasters in Shards of the Exalted Dream, and they're only deadly because one of the Chosen, a god, etc. is committing motes to them.

It is a "programming" game, where each player plays 3 cards with movement arrows on them, then players reveal 1 card at a time simultaneously, and their aircraft makes the move.Blood Red Skies is also quite simplified, there is no altitude or speed, aircraft are either 'advantaged' 'disadvantaged' or 'neutral', and the flight stand tilts the aircraft forward or backward to represent this.If you want something that actually has altitude and speed taken into account, and has pretty much every WW2 aircraft (including bombers, ground attack, night fighters) - Lacquered Coffins might be the way to go. It tracks speed and altitude with 2 dice on the base of an aircraft, and is dead simple to play, no custom cards or flight stands required.Also how that fuck are people posting with these new Captcha's....
