What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in MI6, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on ROM, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I'm the top sniper in the entire AFFS. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before in the Inner Sphere, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Chatterweb? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the Inner Sphere and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You're fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot.
I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You're fucking dead, kiddo.

▶What is Kingdom Death?
Kingdom Death is a tabletop miniature brand stared by Adam Poots and operated by himself and his Team that later spun off into a miniature based bored game funded by two very successful Kickstarter campaigns.

▶What is Kingdom Death: Monster?
Monster is a Nightmare Horror cooperative boss battler/miniature hobby game for 1-4 players about hope in a strange world of bizarre monstrosities and perpetually darkness. Players take on the role of survivors that band together to form a settlement, fighting monsters, crafting weapons and gear, and developing their civilization to ensure survival from generation to generation.

Prologue Narration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNLc8dHv0Ac

The Game is broken up into 3 phases:
1. During your Hunt Phase your band of survivors traverse the world of KD in pursuit of their quarry.
2. After successfully tracking your quarry you will begin the Showdown Phase, where you must fell these horrific creatures in order to acquire precious resources.
3. After the battle, your survivors wander home with loot in hand to begin the Settlement Phase. Arm yourself by developing new weapons and bizarre structures to prepare for next year's hunt.

>btw I'm pretty sure with your ball you could have trimmed down the slots that insert into the holes to be able to force the pieces in at an angle
that's what I did, which worked fine for the bottom row, but for the top row the topmost piece was interfering with a proper fit (maybe I glued it slightly off alignment, idk) so I had to saw it off and will reglue it back at the very end

Scale modeler here.
Protip: Before assembly, carefully study the instructions and see what makes sense and what not, make annotations and have your own plan.
If you have trouble imagining: I am currently building a biplane. It will be silver. However, the struts are wood. Because masking and handpainting shit when also doing airbrush is a terrible way to do things on an already assembled plane (nonwithstanding being able to reach all the inner surfaces on an assembled plane even when going monocolor or something), I had to make a plan and order how to properly paint and then assemble stuff.

Instructions mainly tell you what goes where; they don't necessarily give you the proper order for what you want to do. And the KDM instructions are just plain terrible.
>>
>>97395616
>Instructions mainly tell you what goes where; they don't necessarily give you the proper order for what you want to do
Yes, in retard fucking world, your world, perhaps it works like that sure
In this world, if your paper doesn't have the correct assembly order, that's just schematics
INSTRUCTION on normal world INSTRUCT you the way of doing something, and obviously DO NOT leave stuff to the interpretation of the nigger that needs the instructions
Well maybe in your word, the retard word, "instructions" are like that, sure that's a possibility
>>

Nta, but i have seen a few of the survivor builds on thw site not updated for some survivors that got more/less parts. I think it's can remember lion knight girls and some of the parts in 10 year survivors. Also, let's not forget the absolute peak of customer assistance that is showing the peices going on the back of the model, but not show a single image of the back of the model and where it goes. Pic related is one example, and its a peice with specific grooved part on it, but dose not fit easily anywhere I can see. Dung beetle is another example with the eye stalks or whatever on the back.

How do players in your groups, including yourselves if you play rather than GM, react to authority figures in your games? Are they happy to play along and do what they're told, or do you find that they try to rebel against whoever's in charge of them at any opportunity?

>Traditional Games?
This is a thread about how players react to authority figures in tabletop roleplaying games, a type of traditional game.
>You first.
When STing Vampire the Masquerade for my group (last session was about a month ago, we went on hiatus for Christmas) I find that they really chafe whenever the Prince demands anything of them and they are almost more interested in dismantling the local Camarilla so that they no longer need to follow orders than they are in the jobs that the Prince gives them.
>What system?
In my case, the system is Vampire the Masquerade 20th Anniversary, but the question is system neutral.
>What setting?
In my case, the setting is the World of Darkness, but the question is setting neutral.
>Post this in a general.
This is a generic topic without any focus on any specific system or setting that has a general, therefore I do not think that there is an appropriate general for this thread.

I would not be surprised if that was the case but i would wait a bit until more SF2e books ( ship combat) are released so we can get a full picture.

Regarding SF1e , it was not compatible with PF1e so you had to "invest" in it and if you didnt like you were "Shit out of luck" ( SF1e had a lot of shitty rules) . I heard that SF2e is fully compatible with PF2e , if that is true than that will give the game a bigger player base instead of being a standalone game , well i dont give a shit about PF2E or SF2e they are both dogshit to me .
>>
>>97395324
Eh, SF setting was already pretty lame in 1e, and 2e has sofar only made it worse. And for system there is not really anything to speak about because it is just pf2e in speesh,
>>
>>97394967
1e Mythic is brokenly overpowered and makes the game basically freeform if the GM doesn't want to arms race things to the point nobody is having fun anymore. It's funny but unsustainable if people are really trying.

2e mythic is broken, underbaked, and boring. Nothing in 2e Mythic actually feels mythic. Mythic Proficiency is one of the worst thought out mechanics in the entire system. Mythic monster creation rules are actively anti-fun. Mythic player options are a joke and you're better off running regular ass free archetype most of the time.

>>97388841
I think the thing that gets me is that the "floor" of non-mythic competence in 2e is higher, but the highs are barely above that. It's real easy for EVERYONE to at least be passably competent and jumping around, climbing, and swimming, as you'd expect adventurers to be... But it's a monumental effort to get even slightly better than that, and 2e mythic basically doesn't even attempt to push that ceiling so it's a joke.
>>
>>97395324
Most of the time I see SF2e mentioned, it's either flat out treated as an expansion pack of PF2e, or it's people arguing about whether or not PF2e content should be factored in any discussions about it. The latter of which feels psychotic because paizo spent so long jerking off about compatibility and making sure classes didn't invalidate eachother by being too similar that no fucking SHIT I'm going factor the two together when talking about SF2e.

I will die on the hill that Solarian, Envoy, and Operative are three of the worst designed classes in the combined system-at least Operative is STRONG in spite of missing the entire point of the original class, the other two have no excuse
>>
>>97395324
There's just not much to talk about it. All the interesting space content was pushed to this year, so it really is more an ex-pack for Pathfinder.

>>97396517
The most recent errata did help patch some of the more apparent issues with Operative, but it is still a bit messy. And Solarion is more an issue of having no good content to gel with its martial playstyle. Very vanilla, but easily addressed with feats and additional manifestations as more splats are released.
Envoy, I got nothing. It really is just...not well-designed. They had something with the playtest, I don't know why Paizo seems hellbent on shooting themselves in the foot when they get a good idea.

Of course, but you get my point. It's largely obvious what type of approach a game is designed for, but sometimes games suprise you in that regard. It's hard to see it that way and not in a more intuitive "this game doesn't work, it's shit" way. And sometimes you get weird shit like Thiefdom where the game wants you to play intuitively because failing (or others failing) is the most fun and statisfying part of the game. But it is also punishing and entirely avoidable with more mental effort. This turns into the daunting experience of a pretty interactive game becoming heads down 3 minute turns because that's clearly the best way to compete, yet everyone has a sense of 'this game shouldn't take this long'.

When did Magic players get so delusional? The performative outrage about UB has got to be some of the most faggy outrage ive seen in this game. If you bought/played with any secret lair cards or LotR cards then you have no room to complain about the current trajectory, this is your fault.
If you are anti UB because they dont "fit" Mtgs setting, but purchased/played Neon Dynasty, Thunder Junction, Duskmourn, Aetherdrift, or Edge then you have no media literacy because they are all basicly UB sets without an IP attached.
Stop posting like UB is the death of magic, I remember when we thought Mythic rarity was going to be the end and now look at this bullshit. Its going to keep going on until people are done playing the game and move to something else, and theres not a single TCG right now that could take its place.
>inbf I proxy so I win
You are a faggot in denial, if you play the game in anyway, you are coupable in this.

I'm a pretty new player (started at ONE) and genuinely it amazes me how many of WotC's problem with the game is an inability to branch out. No books, no tabletop games (that aren't the card game obviously), no video games that aren't just playing the card game digitally (and even then those pale in comparison to the sheer amount of Yu-Gi-Oh's equivalent simulators) and basically no reason to engage with magic if you aren't already into tcgs or don't have friends that play the game. On top of that it's really freaking expensive to start playing. They have not and will not invest in their own IP, they will not ease the cost of entry, they WILL whore themselves out for funsies in the hopes that it will create player retention and frankly I don't think the numbers will reflect this long term

Still happilly playing 3rd to 4th edition to this day with not a penny gone to those 'Forced Obsolecence' wankers since. They can change the lore how much they want in ever feeble attempts to boost sales, but it will no effect on me or my gaming friends. Stop stressing about what GW is promoting this week, just do your own thing, you don't need to constantly jump onto whatever bandwagon GW is shitting out from moment to moment.

The answer is that muderhobo is a very childish form of RPG. It does not stand up to mature morality. In fact, most fantasy doesn't.
>>
>>97395665
>that's actually how most people operate most of the time
Sure, but you must realise it's not actually a very useful way to approach understanding a message of any kind, which include trying to understand the meaning of a work of fiction. Nor does it make for convincing arguments.
>I don't think that I have stated that there was a time where orcs as a group were evil but not as individuals
The thing is that I can't understand what you are trying to say. If orcs as a group were not initially evil, then how can orcs as individuals all be evil?
>>
>>97396314
>Personal interpretation is omnipresent and important
Why? I mean the omnipresence is obvious, but why would it be important?
>>
>>97396534
>As such, his belief in God wasn't something that need proof or justification
NTA, but I'm not sure this makes any sense. Faith in christianity was already pretty shakey at that time (Nietzsche was writing a generation before, after all), and the horrors of WW1 completely savaged the notion of an omnibenevolent cosmic creator (I know, I know, that's actually from neo-Platonism and not the bible, but in the mind of most christians, that's what they think god is).
Not saying Tolkien wasn't christian, just that I don't think WW1 is an argument.

The Roman Empire was not "founded" you retarded midwit, they didn't all just suddenly start calling themselves an Imperium. They literally kept referring to themselves as a Republic after Caesar took power and after Augustus succeeded him. Because both Julius and Augustus structured the Empire as the Republic 2.0, where the Senate would still do the majority of the governing, the courts would still settle all the disputes in the provinces, and the Imperator was nothing more than a permanent version of the previously temporary Praetor title. If you're referring to Augustus's civic reforms, he mostly targeted the rotten bureaucracy of Rome, kicking out the corrupt slime that were running its institutions and its temples. He did not make radical alterations to the Senate itself. There was no need.

The new year brings new resolutions, inspirations, goals, dreams and half-baked ideas.

>Why should I homebrew?
/tg/ products are fairly unique in that it's actually pretty simple to make them these days, with a plethora of products to assist in making and playtesting your game. Making your own games helps understand why games are made the way they are, as well as being fun to do.

>What you should post
Ideas for games, games you're currently making, updates to your own games in broad strokes, and any homebrewing for existing products that don't get much attention. Discussion about the above is welcome. Post good, be good, and look over others products, they care if someone looks more than anything.

>That's a business decision, not a game design decision
If you design your game to require certain tables, and then shunt those tables into a separate product, it's absolutely a design decision. You've actively made your game incomplete so that I am required to spend more money. That's fucking garbage, and you shouldn't want to play a game designed in such a way.

What about "explain how it's a garbage approach to it and I fully expect that to be the case" makes you think "shill"? And how is it an empty nothing to delineate between the loop being cook-and-craft-for-its-own-sake versus cook-and-craft-to-survive?

It is absolutely no difference to the overall rules content of the system, so it just means "the game" is split between several books. Almost certainly as a business decision to make you pay more money, but still.

>Why are you calling me a shill when I spend vapid paragraphs pointlessly defending a bad system?!

Gee, why do you think?

I'm looking for duelist / flintlock-wielding girls who'd fit into a Warhammer Fantasy RPG. Sadly, it's really hard to any that don't look too anime.
