I was diving in the archives and discovered this thing that /tg/ made a long time ago. Catgirls + an underwater world. It looks like the project withered away and everyone involved left this board ten or so years ago. So, how was it? Did it ever get off the ground?
>>97384291>it is simply slowly becoming mainstreamYou act like that's a good thing. Probably BECAUSE you're a fairweather mainstream tourist.>think of how much you get now.And it's all shit because there's no passion. It's just grifter faggots looking for a quick jewtube buck.
>>97382431>The concerted effort to ruin /tg/ came from a mod in 2014. Anyone and everyone saying it's 2016 is just ideologically grinding an axe rather than speaking facts.Man I wasn't around back then because moot was a massive faggot was actively killing the site it the few years before he sold it to Hiroshima Nagasaki, mods were fags moot met at SxSW who hated us. Not just here but on other boards too, I've experienced this. It's eerie. You never know when it will be the last time you'll ever see a person, much like how they didn't know it would be the last time they post on /tg/ (or whatever other board).>You can actually copy out the art from the PDF and save it onto your machine by right clicking on the images. That should net you 5 and 6.It's not quite the same as having the original files, though. What's been posted so far matches hashes in the archive under "View Same". This is the first time many of these images have been posted here in over ten years.>>97382775That pic has a different hash. The image dimensions are the same, though.

Fuck, the heroica op gets the shaft?!? There's a tiny 30 piece expansion for that that I've never seen in the wild but some guy in Hungary has 200 copies of he's selling for 50$ apiece.
>>97391878Which is bs, because you can easily make ganrash with easily available pieces. The rarest pieces there are the figures, everything else I'm pretty sure can be found extensively in other sets (especially the golden swords).
>>97391908Yeah, I don't feel too bad about it, it doesn't really make sense to have more than one heroica set when the board is common pieces and most of the figs are available for pennies. Maybe ganrash had a really cool rules twist, though......

Why is there so much whinging about 'No Games' on this board? I understand that those who come here solely with the intention of discussing tropes and the like can be frustrating to deal with, but there seem to be some folks here who make it their mission to drop bursts of negativity in threads they should've known would enrage them. And even in these threads that hold more general discussion, I don't see how nearly all of them are not at least tangentially related to traditional gaming.

This is a specification for an exterior ballistics software that can be used to calculate damage at long range in tabletop RPGs like Phoenix Command or GURPS where that sort of question arises with some degree of frequency. It takes in physical characteristics of a projectile (diameter, length, mass, etc.) and uses an ODE method to calculate velocity after a period of time has passed. I'd recommend either C++ or pure C for the programme as, particularly if you are generating tables for many types of projectiles, it can get very computationally intensive. For the specification, start with the formula for drag force, $F_d = \frac{1}{2}\rho v^{2}C_{D}A$, so $\frac{\rho v^{2}C_{d}A}{2m} = a$. The issue is $C_D$, which must be determined empirically. We have an advantage in that drag curves all look more or less the same in terms of shape and proportionality (multiply the drag coefficient on a G7 drag curve by about 1.9 and you will likely be pretty close to the drag coefficient at that mach number on a G1 drag curve). Thus, we define our generic drag curve as on the below table. When a bullet is between mach numbers you have the option of linearly interpolating between them, which is less realistic but easier to write code for and will run faster, or using a more complex formula such as Lagrangian or Newtonian Interpolation, which are more accurate but slower. The typical air density (rho) at sea level is 1.225kg/m$^3$. A typical speed of sound at sea level is about 340 m/s.
>>97391680>voxelised representation of the human body with lethality and penetration resistance values assigned to different tissue typesThis is the worst thing I've ever heard. Please consider make a video game instead.
>>97391680
>>97391876>>97391899You don't have the voxels right there in the rulebook. It's tabulated, like the picture I've attached.
>>97391904Okay, so it looks like if you do 1-3 penetration you do 1 damage, and anything more than that you do massive damage.1. How many hitpoints does the average person have? Is a 4 penetration hit with 13 damage enough to kill them, or do PCs have more like 100 health?2. How much damage does a punch to the head do? You can definitely kill someone with a single punch to the forehead even though it doesn't penetrate the skull.
>>97391915(1) Every wound taken has a chance of killing a character. Divide Lethality by a character's Wound Recovery Potential to find Tissue Damage, then reference Tissue Damage on a table. 3 points of tissue damage is about a 2% chance to kill. 150 is essentially 100%. It's a sigmoidal curve, so the probability of death asymptotically approaches 1.(2) That's what 'BTBD' (Blunt Trauma Base Damage) is for. A very solid punch to the head fight deal 4 or 5 Impact base, which is then multiplied by 5.4 = 21.6 or 27 points of damage, or about a 53 or 54% chance of death, given that the wound is left entirely untreated. Medical treatment could decrease that to an essentially 0% chance of dying.
Necromancy Edition>What is Trench Crusade? An alternate weird history 28mm/32mm tabletop skirmish game still in a pre-release playtesting phase but with the full release slated for this year. Based on the art and lore of Mike Franchina, whose illustrations you may have seen floating around on /tg/ for a several years now, and designed by Tuomas Pirinen, one of the original creators of Mordheim. It's grimdark, it's visceral, it's awesome, and it's very Blanchitsu.>What Trench Crusade is notTC not an excuse for you to discuss IRL religion, history that didn't occur in the game, culture war shit, or discord bullshit on /tg/. >>97391980>you can cast this mid level spell once per day :DGive a martial powerful spell casting features and watch as he starts to do far less martial stuff throughout the game. Same deal with stuff like the Wand of Fireballs.>Do you treat every single class feature, spell, and item in the game with more than one usage in the game this way?No, because that’s already working in combination with other options and trade offs that compete for a lot of those features, since they draw from the same pool of resources (spell slots). Enspelled weapons give a singular spell with its own resource with a pool that’s way too deep, and every single time I’ve been in a game or DM’d a game where someone had an enspelled weapon/armor/whatever, the flow of combat just became spamming that one thing over and over because why wouldn’t they? It’s an entirely different pool of resources that still regenerate at an exceptionally high rate (3.5 charges per day average, fully refilled with a modicum of downtime). The only thing I will grant you is that Summon Dragon isn’t exactly a spell that you cast turn after turn, but even then, once per day is more than enough.
