>>97219954Disregard 3e Demons, use 2e ones instead
>>97220218Quit being weird.>>97219954I'm not sure what the new demons are and what is just from Exalted in general. I really like the demon maggot that's burrowed through multiple layers of Malfeas though, that's pretty neat.
Yeah this new captcha is weird. So, I find it really tough to read Exalted material about demons and hell without a reference for what all these demons are and look like. They have incomprehensible names, and they’re quite bizarre creatures. I can’t intuit what they’re based on their name. The only ones I can keep straight are blood apes & neomah.Ideally, every time a demon is mentioned, these PDFs would have a mouseover tooltip or hyperlink to a picture and summary of what this thing is.
>>97220650Even for the demons that have been around for awhile desu. The fuck does one of those deca things look like? I have no idea. God forbid I draw a blank on one too because finding the info to refresh myself is a pain.I mean okay, normally it's a quick google but still. I think you made a very good point.
>>97220650>They have incomprehensible names, and they’re quite bizarre creaturesThey names are mostly central-eastern European, or CEE-sounding, in nature.Ligier and Florivet are French.Adorjan, is a Adorian/Adrian.Cecelyne, sounds like Cecile.Javint is a version of Hyacinth.

>>97220351>excuses This is the real reason your army isn't painted
>>97220351It's a difference in personal standards, I think. Some people refuse to play before their army is painted, and that's fine. Some people are okay with playing with a partially painted army, and that's fine. Set standards for yourself because that's all you can really do, you can't control what others do.
>>97220486>Some people are okay with playing with a partially painted army, and that's fineExcept it's literally not, it's pathetic and effeminate
>>97220547One could argue that it's pathetic and effeminate to complain indirectly about what others do on an anonymous forum instead of telling them. Paint your models, set an example for others to follow, and have fun. Life is too short to get angry at people about this sort of thing.
>>97216320Cool. So you don't actually own any of the models in question.
I haven't bought a model since like 2023 maybe early 2024. When I bought Dante he was like $35. What the fuck happened? This is legit robbery.
>>97219394How do they expect kids and new players to start with these prices?
>>97218744Competition missing. GW didn't even actually beat the other miniature companies. Mismanagement, corporate greed(HAH), and chasing the wrong audience killed off all the legitimate competition. Mantic is a joke but still going in their lane. Para Bellum would be great, except their prices are worse than GW, and their scale is fucking stupid. Corvus Belli sticks with their core audience, and was mired in old material which kept newer players away, while also actively working against the english speaking market until very recently. Atomic Mass is run by a garbage parent company, chasing after license money. Cmon committed sudoku. The other indies are just continuing quietly at their own pace. In order to force GW to price more competitively, they'd need to be able to produce at a comparable level. I really, really want Bamco to do this. It would be a phenomenal turn of events, but Gundam Assemble is still a little ways off, and not quite direct competition as of yet. Meanwhile, GW has just been generating brand recognition with other media, mostly games. They run the market, means they set the prices at whatever they want, until it breaks the consumer, and then they'll dial it back a half step. Combine that all with the world state, and they can blame all the various factors to deflect from the fact that they've been on this trajectory for years. Just buy secondhand or recasts. They still produce great miniatures, but their prices are horrific, and anyone defending the prices is suspect.
>>97219658Maybe those kids should think twice about deciding to be poor? Why didn't they just get more money instead of complaining to this struggling little company who can barely afford to run the shittiest out of date injection molding machines in the industry? Ungrateful little cretins.
Thats why printer go brrr. Its wild to me that pay piggies still lap this slop up with open wallets.
>>97218744Thankfully 40k subsidizes less popular and far superior GW games
How do you justify a "pest race" like goblins or rat people in your setting? Why wouldn't the dominant species make a concentrated effort to eradicate them if they were a problem?
>>97219944Harpies are diseased vermin. Eating their meat is a good way to get parasites or sick.
>>97220462I can imagine them being "gamey" but if you cook them thoroughly, I'm sure the meat is no more dangerous than pork. Or maybe...you're a harpy trying to dissuade others from eating you? If you taste like chicken, you're getting turned into nuggets, bitch. Sorry.
>>97220514You might as well be eating crow meat.
>>97216392>>97217163I sort foodstuffs by freshness, those with least freshness are to be eaten first, this way nothing ever goes to waste.

I have a bunch of spare Drukhari and Corsairs bits sitting around and was thinking of building a gang out of them to get into Necromunda. Do you guys like making a backstory for your characters?I find its my favorite part. I often think about the life my character would have lived and/or various facts about them.
>>97220356>a fireball doesn't need to be "setting someone on fire"It literally sets things on fire you moron. And you’re missing the point. Whether or not you think they’ll be able to walk it off, setting off an explosive next to someone you just swore to protect from any harm is not consistent behavior. You’re bending over backwards at this point, insisting both that combat has to be abstracted and also that characters have an intuitive sense of hit points and how they’re recovered that justifies gamist actions. And you keep presenting things in the context of an action movie or two tough guys roughhousing, ignoring the original context of the action under discussion. Nobody is claiming that the fireball would be lethal, just that the only way to arrive at the conclusion you’re presenting is to work your way there through the game rules, rather than assessing the situation from the character’s perspective. Which is exactly what you’re doing.
