>>97360700Like >>97368608 has said, the concept just doesn’t fit. Not only is Star Wars awfully tame in the “gore” department. It also lacks the tone and themes for it. Star Wars is ultimately a very bright and optimistic setting. Even at its darkest moments when the forces of evil seem triumphant, their victory is never ultimate. It gets that from one of Lucas’s wells of inspiration: fairy tales. Star Wars is a fairy tale told in space. From Luke, “the hero of a thousand faces”, Han, “the dashing rogue with a heart of gold”, Leia “the princess in need of rescue” even if she also subverts the role by being the most competent of the three and their adventure to defeat the evil wizard and his ruthless, black-clad general. Luke even meets a weird magical creature along the way that rewards him with wisdom and a boon for being a good person Yoda, if it wasn’t obvious It’s all there. And those stories are innately optimistic, hell, even Rogue One is an optimistic take because, yeah, their sacrifice ultimately mattered. which honestly means trying to force a cynical gore fest of a story like berserk is just going to go about as well as trying to shoehorn cosmic horror into Star Wars, cringey.

Tabletop RPGs tend to split up crafting into a high number of crafting subskills for every individual area of expertise. There's no question that crafting is still extremely powerful despite forcing you to go through this hassle, but what are your thoughts on which particular crafting subskills tend to be the most useful in the context of a TTRPG campaign, be it a medieval or modern or sci-fi setting?Pic related is from Legend of the Five Rings, where I'll be playing a crafter soon, and I intend to invest heavily into crafting. But feel free to talk about any game you've had experience with.

>>97368774>Impericle methods only require 2 things, 1 ability to be observed and 2 repeatable. And if the locals cannot actually observe the causal factors because some are in another plane of existence, or crucial aspects are fundamentally uncontrollable?>It really isn't, because we're already observing higher-dimensional physics IRL.No, we're observing some things that some physicists thing might be better explained by higher-dimensional physics, but the bulk still look at it as 3 space plus 1 time dimension.>Think of it this way: We can't observe the mechanisms of magnetic fields directly in any way, but we sure as shit can observe when metal starts acting weird....That's a single step and is caused by observable charge-carrier behaviors, the indirectness is only the in-between force of how the charge carriers affect the magnetic material. What I am referring to is analogous to magnets literally not being possible in our standard manifold yet some weirdos manage to drag along ones in what is otherwise another where the nuclear forces don't exist. No amount of observations in the standard manifold will ever give you the causal factors because they simply aren't in it.By the historic meanings of "supernatural", rather than your retarded prescriptions based on farcical equivocations, the fact that the source is in a fundamentally different and broadly incompatible "space" well justifies calling the "magnets" of this counterfactual hypothetical such.>>97369265Einstein's expertise has nothing to do with the metaphysics that are the subject of this discussion, and so he is no authority on the matter. >>97364794A literal sense. Outside of vampires and plain ol' human crazies, I can't think of any creature that would go to length to infiltrate groups. Succubi and Incubi may due it to feed but they're, successfully, infiltrating. Alongside possession capabilities other demons are known for as well
>>97364794>Why would one need to steal the lycanthrope's power to shift between man and wolf?Because a lycanthrope is neither man nor wolf. A werewolf is a hellish beast that's some twisted fusion of man and wolf. It's a separate thing and that's why you need it's pelt. That's the hard part since werewolves turn into a man (from what I saw) when they die. You'd need to somehow skin that thing alive. I'm guessing that with the right pelt and proper ritual you could shift into other creatures, I'd need to ask my superiors to get a confirmation. Making pacts with evil spirits and other such things allow for many terrible things.
>>97364794There's magic that I haven't studied but I know about that would allow me or another sorcerer to become any animal we wanted. >>97368499That’s not a trigger, that’s just a personal gripe that one can’t let go of, like when someone’s racist uncle refuses to stop ranting about immigrants even after being asked to reign it in for thanksgiving. >>97368755>when someone’s racist uncle refuses to stop ranting about immigrants even after being asked to reign it in for thanksgivingI was recently thinking about just how autistically normie guys act. You only get clocked as autistic if you're interested in something outside the mainstream like sunken ships and DnD. If you don't have any weird interests no one thinks it's weird that you ignore body language, hit on a woman who obviously isn't interested, or rant to someone about a sports game they didn't watch.
