This is a ridiculously rough mockup since I don't have a historical-scale bloke to hand but I was thinking of doing a Soviet army that's "ghost styled" -- painted to look very bony and gaunt, hollow 'bleeding' eyes, completely black-and-white, stepping out of spectral mists and stuff, with the only colorful bits being their guns, red stars, and vehicles; the former picked out in red, the latter painted up to look burnt, damaged, rusty and damaged but still trundling on. Idea being it's "ooh ahhh it's ghosts of the war". Am I just off my melt or does this sound cool to anyone else?
