>>96461241Most Abbadomon decks I've seen run like 12-14 Scatter Modes, the full playsets of SoundBirdmon and Eyesmon, and some Trainings/Memory Boosts. Armageddemon hasn't seen play anywhere in years so I'm baffled as to why you included it. I don't like Zenith or Cyberdramon either. You can run some other level 6 Aces since Black pretty much has the best selection of them, but Darkdramon is fine if that's all you want to play. If you do run more I suggest Laplace's Demon and/or EX5 Etemon.

Also, it holds that the Scarlet Empress is a luminary that upholds civilization with the blessing of the Dragons. Part of the deal that she made with the Sidereals was that if she helped them carry out the Bronze agenda, they would directly support her reign with religion. Kind of a no-brainer for the both of them. The Scarlet Empress is also said to enjoy a great deal of secular veneration... in the text of the Cult background. So she absolutely has or had an actual Cult as an objective fact of her Background.
>>96461666Probably just you, as I've seen plenty of people talk about liking the Immaculate Faith, I've seen plenty of people talk about disliking the Immaculate Faith, I've seen people argue about whether or not the Faith's got a point in some respects and whether it's overall more of a positive or a negative force in Creation, and most importantly, it's got cool kung fu monks. Immaculate Faith is definitely something people remember, think about and have opinions on.

Every time I search for a cool "barbarian" in some RPG, no matter if it's dark fantasy or not, it's always the half-naked dude or chick that looks like he / she has just wake up after an university party. It gives the same vibes that you get from watching an historical film and for some reason, the filmmakers hate natural colors and must put a filter that ruins your immersion. Is it there a good RPG with proper "barbarians"?
>>96461497It always makes me smile to look back and remember the first Conan story ever has him already king and he's drawing maps.
>>96461876Yes! Exactly! He's a competent monarch because monarchs are de facto outside of society by being above it. Conan has a deep bag of tricks born out of his rugged outdoorsmanship and many travels. He will never make a good farmer and he doesn't have what it takes to be a brewer or miller. A Barbarian doesn't have those ties to civility like a Fighter might. But you need someone as a sellsword, sea reaver, burglar, bodyguard, assassin, monarch, hunter, horseman or dungeoneer then you would be wise to call on Conan in every case. That's the Barbarian bag and origin. All the magic powers, totemic spirits & berserker rage stuff is best left to Druids. High level Barbarians should be frightening because they could spring almost anything on you and they're accustomed to fighting with fear, rage & hunger in their hearts all at once. The Barbarian is cool under pressure and comfortable being threatened by primal sources, he does not command nature, he is a survivor that is part of it. When you feel the fear you start sweating, when the Barbarian feels the fear he starts thinking.
>>96457768Its like this because early D&D players wanted play a Conan type figure and Gygax when codifying classes saw the range of Conan as described accurately by >>96461497 and thought it was to overpowered conceptually. So he made the concept into a dumbass as a "balancing" call. And because D&D is D&D, it went from there.

>>96461774Edge of the Empire rewards you for becoming either obligated to a criminal boss or being legit (you can be dirty or clean with each side having some advantages). Age of Rebellion rewards you mostly by your loyalty to the rebel alliance.Force and Destiny is your Jedi being bipolar on a personality trait.
>>96452406How was Acolyte revisionist? It didn't make the Jedi bad guys. As others have argued it's critique of the Jedi could be considered toothless. What they did was a massive fuck-up, a sort of Waco Texas. While certainly they should be penalized for incompetency, this is in line with them holding several staff-meetings with a Sith Lord as their boss and not realizing it until the last second. The most morally shady thing they do is cover up said fuck-up, but that was a decision made on the ground and not by the Council or anyone. And even then, it wasn't so much an active cover-up so much as those involved being very choosy in how to detail their report (an Obi-Wan Kenobi level of 'true from a certain point of view). >>96453323A New Jedi Order could have been done (and likely still will be for necessity sake) I think the issue was more setting Rey up to have WAY less resources than Luke, but nobody thought about how logistics is meant to work in Star Wars. Which is why my theory is Ahsoka will do it- since it make more narrative sense for her to do it than Rey. >>96454081Yeah that's in line for what I expect from Star Wars retcons, and about what my imagining was. I guess I'm one of those people who would argue that consists of two different republics even if there is a line of continuity there. Heck- France is on their Fifth Republic right now, and some even think they might be on their way to their sixth. Personally- I actually find it fun to reconcile two competing lore ideas, like to me I think it can be both true the Sith Empire imploded itself, while also the Jedi were the ones to defeat them. Typically extremists and autocrats are their own worst enemies. Arguably the Nazis defeated themselves by running their country into the ground and declaring war on every single major power, to the point where they were looking into researching magic as a way to defeat the Allies.
>>96461999Personally I just find it odd that there hasn't been any major adaptions of the Sith Empire, outside of TOR and some visions shorts to my knowledge (by which I mean- stuff that's not comics or books that only the super-dedicated fans would be aware of).
>>96461999>It didn't make the Jedi bad guys.Yes, it did. This might not be your understanding of the show (as far as I'm concerned, for example, everything the jedi did was 100% justified), but that was certainly the intention of the author. The jedi (and more specifically Sol) were supposed to be wrong at every step of the way, both during the coven crisis and during the actual events of the series. Sol couldn't even die in a good manner, because by allowing himself to be killed he stole agency from Osha again and infantilized her. You are right to compare the situation to Waco, but it's written to be Waco in its most uncharitable, "ATF is Satan" version.
>>96461999>What they did was a massive fuck-up, a sort of Waco Texas.Did the Waco guys put a girl on a pyre and give the impression to any reasonable observer directly in front of the cops that they were going to light it on fire and kill her? Because those witch-bitches absolutely had it coming, the lead one turned into a fucking darkside smoke monster.Don't pretend any of the retardation in that show was in any way intentional and clever, they absolutely intended the viewer should take the Jedi as the villains they're just so ideologically vapid and functionally incompetent that they couldn't pull it off.

>>96455291>because of your faith>only for the pure heartedthat's protestant shit (vanity), though it's better than jewish shit where you just have to be born into it. You're putting too much focus on the person being special, whereas with catholicism the point is nobody is special - everyone's shit and a sinner. In reaching for the cross in their time of need that is a tacit submission to God and a plea to his mercy, regardless of whoever that person was before. Even the person returning to sin after the fact isn't a barrier to that (frankly it's expected). >>96455515Where I see shintoism sorta overlap with vampires (aside from touhou of course, but let's ignore that) is the general central tenent of the separation of the divine or pure, mundane, and profane into their own specific spaces. And that lines up with a lot of the traditional "anti-vampire tech" out there, if not all of them. Stuff like being unable to cross running water, having to be invited into homes, even garlic as a ward - it's very easy to find parallels with that and Shinto traditions such as Shimenawa or Ofuda (or even like setsuban if you want to stretch it). So in that hypothetical, I think that if you are running with the premise that shintoism affects vampires at all, warding and sealing are definitely within their wheelhouse. Killing Vampires however? Less so. That's more within the realm of what gods would potentially do themselves than anything a priest or priestess would be doing.

What made gnomes so special that they needed to be a core race for so long? they were only introduced shortly after the original races buts still stick around to this day. they are never really popular player races, and don't really fulfill the same fantasy tropes as the other races didSo why stick around as a core and not just be a later supplement?
>>96459557>>96459597Gnomes have a pedigree in real-world myth and legend at least as established as faeries and elves. The distinction between gnomes and dwarves is a relatively recent development in specifically Anglophone literature, in the sense that in original tales the characterization of the creatures depended upon the culture. In some regions, they were definitely what we today would call "gnomes". In others, they were more definitely like "dwarves". Making matters more complicated of course is that there isn't a consistent terminology used for either description. But "short, inhuman folk of a semi-magical nature who live underground and create magical crafts" have been around for at least as long elves and faeries have.
>>96459799>They're just knock-off hobbits,You answered your own question. Knock-off LotR is seen as 'generic fantasy'.
>>96459609They probably just didn't want to remove any core races, I don't think that had ever been done until 4e.
>>96459601>but why keep them around when the rule was long forgottenBecause despite the many retards here who seem to think halflings and gnomes are the same thing, they arent. They occupy their own niche of being a short magical pseudofey with an interest in innovative technology. The details of each race are fucking important to why they still exist and are separate concepts. That you lot of retards cant remember them or keep them straight in your heads doesn't give you an excuse to remove races. As time has gone on each of these races has been given a specific niche, and expanded lore that makes them very different creatures. Thats why they stick around, they occupy a niche not covered by another race.>>96460073>both by having Gnomes not be coreGnomes werent "core" in 4e because there was limited space in the first PHB and they wanted to include dragonborn and tieflings over the "standard" set of races. Beyond that the concept of the core race is something very stupid in 4e because they were released in the PHB 2, which is considered a core product for 4e alongside the PHB 3 and all DMGs.
