>>96469669Then just hit Hornet Drones. Why in the world would you hit Engage instead of Hornet Drones, when you could just hit Hornet Drones?
>>96470888NTA, but both should go. But they won't do any of that because they want you to "omg i love raye, buy sky strikers."
>>96470941Both won't go because both don't need to go. Engage was at 2 for years-- 3 for the entirety of the last year-- and did nothing. The thing that shook that up is Lemnisgate giving them infinite recursion, which makes a much stronger argument for Lemnis either going to 1 or getting banned, and Engage *maybe* going back to 2 just to give it a little consistency nerf in non-Sky Striker decks. The only objectively problematic card from Sky Striker right now is the card that's been at 1 for almost its entire lifetime in every format. Hornet Drones getting killed would be fine. Pure Sky Striker players wouldn't miss it, and Yummyfags that relied on it can cope and seeth as they add Ace Zero and Roze to their builds to do the exact same thing that Hornet Drones does.
This guy is fucking insane. I will make Lightsworn work in 2025.
>>96473283Side note, any extra deck recommendations for a modern (mostly) pure Lightsworn deck? I don't have a lot in Master Duel so outside Curious, Minerva, and Michael, I'm just running some cheap generic rank 4s and synchros I can make with Felis/Raiden/Weiss.

>>96473261>Sounds about right. The peak of the third stage would have typical fantasy mages thinking you’re a god of magic taking human form.Thats oddly apt in comparison. Iirc I think nyanko said peak third stage would be capable of feats done by regular Hylia in the zelda games. Part of the growth of becoming something greater whether thats towards immortality or godhood.>The reason Venti could be successful as a chef in Hyrule is he loves cooking for people, and among the clans such a cook commands a high price.Possibly! He's got a lot of time to try a lot of professions. Before and after sainthood. Some of them he's already started like cooking and music, medicine, array making. But I want him to get into other stuff to eventually like teaching, brewing, Maybe a little bit of architecture, Economics. Lots of things can catch his interest. So /tg/ I did two games with different settings and systems, but using the same ideas. They were Delta Green and Chronicles of Darkess (which we later changed to Hunter the Vigil and Vampire). The concept was to make a chronicle inspired by Twin Peaks but using that "Mandela Effect" conspiracy theory. I'll try to summarize months of sessions. The players had to go to a small town in Maine called Honeyville and discover who killed the daughter of the CEO of a mega-corporation. They discover that not only does a cult that worships a spiritual creature with Lovecratian elements, called "Mr. Nobody," control the town, but also the corporation (something like Pentex from Werewolf: The Apocalypse). The cult is having a "civil war," and one of the factions sacrificed the CEO's daughter without the approval of all the members. Where does the Mandela Effect come in? Well, both players and cultists learn to enter a shadow world, a temporary reality far less detailed than ours, but similar to the Umbra or the otherworld in Silent Hill. Every time someone enters this world and interacts with anything there (even opening a door counts), it affects our reality. The world's history changes, people disappear or are replaced, and the memories of those who didn't enter this world also change. People who manage to enter this world are called "jumpers." So, both players and NPCs caused changes and only realized it when it was too late. It was amusing to see the confused faces every time they returned to town and realized something had changed. In the end, the players prevented the cult from sacrificing an albino girl with Rh-null blood, the rarest blood type in the world. The ritual would have made the spirit become a full-fledged god. Oh yeah, and the NPC that summoned the player characters was basically David Lynch, so I had to constantly imitate him.

>>96469874To add on to this, the setting pretty much is the old world, and is currently in the 1780-1800's ish in terms of progress. The industrial revolution in this setting has introduced things like the steam engine, early bolt action rifles, and other inventions of this time. Pretty much this industral revolution gave the human states of the time (mostly elf vassal states or fringe kingdoms) a economic and technological advantage over the elderkin (elves) who where still fighting with swords and magic and where too arrogant to adapt to anything. When some of the vassal states started to step out of line, the elves (currently in a succession crisis) decided that nothing would legitimise the new dynasty like a quick war against the savages. This turned out to be a big mistake (elven society had grown decadent and arrogant) and the elves got absolutely butchered and the conflict quickly devolved into trench warfare. Eventually the elves adapted and with the help of several elven states and dwarf clans, where able to defeat most of the upstart human states. However they quickly found that technology had spread across the world and now even more of their vassals where in revolution, and even other races, like the orcs had started to get their hands on it. Now the elves have lost most of their empire, are no longer the major players and are pretty much hated by everyone.
Have an idea for a fantasy rpg world that I've been working on for a while. Basically just filling out a text doc with ideas. I have it in my head, I've tried using free map making things, but they're very jank and not really to the scale I want to explore. I want to make a fully explorable planet, but also have places of dense interest with sub themes, (weird wild west, far east inspired places, steam punk victorian flavored places, wild jungle tree top dwelling places, etc). I'm basically just ripping ideas directly from all of my favorite fantasy franchises and blatantly mashing them together, but also blending them and remixing them into an original setting. I would like to find someone smarter than me to help me condense this into a more cohesive idea, but I also don't want to get ripped off. I also want it to be an extremely slow reveal of the world as its explored. I would like to make it compatable with DnD and PF and other popular ttrpg systems, and maybe adapt it to novels and stuff. I want to include a pokemon style element type theme to everything, but boiled down to various combinations of earth, wind, fire, water, and everything be based off of a variation of these base elements. I also have a source of the strangeness and magic in the world that makes logical sense in a scifi fantasy sort of way. Like a kernel of origin for all the weirdness to act as the mcguffin and the driving force of the world.
>>96460954NTA, but why would the builders make it so large?

Godbound is an RPG I have played and GMed since launch, in 2016. I have played and GMed it a lot. It is one of the games I have played the most, and also the one game I have had the least overall success with, as much as I like it (though not its mechanics). It seems to be the perfect storm of an RPG wherein everyone at the table is near-guaranteed to have a nigh-irreconcilable vision of what the game is about. I have never, ever seen this in any other tabletop system. From what I see, it is far harder to have a cohesive group in campaign in Godbound than in most other RPGs.Great freedom, grand scale, demigod PCs: a recipe for different people wanting vastly different things. At least with, say, a grid-based tactics game, everyone has a roughly similar vision of what they are signing up for. Indeed, grid-based tactics RPGs are where I have found the most success. Besides them, I have had reasonable success with PbtA and cousin-of-PbtA games, because of their greater focus.I do not like Exalted as a system or a setting anywhere as much, but it has plenty more built-in expectations of what the PCs will actually be doing together.Godbound stresses, time and time again, that it is for sandboxes. The word "sandbox" appears 25 times in the 243-page core rulebook. This is the most salient passage:>This is crucial because most Godbound campaigns are sandbox campaigns. The GM has built a setting with a great many conflicts, villains, heroes, sympathetic bystanders, long-standing afflictions, and fabulous rewards to be seized. They've brewed up a starting session to thrust the pantheon into a crisis situation to help you all warm up to the game and the setting. Beyond that, however, the game's progress is your responsibility. Your goals and your choices are going to be the things driving the game, and while the world will doubtless react to your decisions and have its own share of ambitious actors, the heart of the game is about the new world your hero is making.
