I love the 1490s historical era, absolutely kino time period aesthetically, and the fog shit was cool too. Unfortunately they didnt lean into 1490s Landsknecht aesthetic at all, Ottomans fighting Knights Hospitalier, etc., they went with just another stupid 28mag blanchitsu "grim dark" shite. Why did they go with the year 1490 specifically and even put it in the title when the game has nothing to do with the actual world in 1490? Again it just seems like another gimmick with little thought behind it. I wish these guys the best even if they are Mormons, but they better be a lot more intentional with their design choices in a dino game. Thankfully it's less creative thematically, so the mechanics themselves will make or break the game.
