>Got me beat, I actually am new to AoS no idea what the Underworld is and how it differs.
Warhammer Underworlds is a board-miniature-cardgame mix.
Each player has one warband (between 3 and 7 miniatures generally) and 2 decks: One for objectives and one for upgrades+strategy cards.
The game is played in a hex board (similar to the new Warhammer Quest)

Win the game the player that earns more glory after 3 rounds (each with 4 activation-turns for each player)
Glory in won by either completing objectives (botton of the objective cards shows how much you gain from doing it)(gold cards) or killing opposing fighters (1 for each fighter, 1 extra if the fighter had 5 or more hp)(2nd edition is a bit different)
Glory comes unspent (gold coin) and you can spend it (turn it face down) to play upgrades to your fighters (they still count for determining the winner of the game)

Each fighter card has its characteristics written/displayed (how much hexes it moves, how much defense dice it rolls and what is a "hit" for them, hp, attacks, and abilities)(2nd ed each warband has an warscroll) so you don't have to reference things in external materials.

During an activation you choose a fighter and then chose between move, charge(move+attack), attack or wait(do nothing) (if you move you put a move token meaning that you can't give another move action to the fighter for the rest of the round)(for charge you put a charge token that makes the fighter unable to make move or attack actions for the rest of the round). After the activation you can play a card (either a ploy that happens immediately (most of times) or pay for an upgrade)

No. AoS needs a Necromunda/Mordheim analog. Fuck Killteam and zero customization. I want YOUR DUDES. I want progression more akin to an RPG. I want modular kits with a crazy amount of bits. Killteam is basically a boxed miniature game. It's fine, but honestly super boring after one game.

During the DAoT? Nothing much, staying behind the scenes with the rest of the Perpetuals.

Age of Strife? When, start or finish? We know that near the end of that period he was hiding out in a cave in the Himalayas trying to work out how to fix humanity's fucked up genome to get it back towards some sort of understandable baseline that wasn't mutated and degrading all to shit. That's when Malcador found him and convinced him he couldn't just NEET in his basement-cave forever, and talked him into being a warlord again.

That's what started the original campaign to take back Terra. Next they used Malcador's remaining strength to strike out and find baby Constantin Valdor, making him the first Custodian. Then the Emperor smashed together the Thunder Warriors, emerged as "the Emperor of Mankind" and got started on the Unification Wars.

And the unification wars took something like seven hundred years too. He had a harder and longer time taking Terra than he did the entire Great Crusade (which was only 200-300 years or so)

No, Blanks don't see the glamour and they see the man underneath. Corax could also see through it sometimes. That wouldn't stop either group from seeing him bulked up when size-modified by biomancy, since that's a physical alteration and not just illusory glamour, but he definitely had a base body. By all accounts it's the one he was born in, looking approximately like a Proto-Indo-European man.

Without thinking about it, entirely subconsciously, you are trained by Pathfinder and D&D to safeguard your players. You are taught to coddle them! And when does this subconscious teaching happen? Not in ANY dungeon master resource. It happens before your first adventure, before your very first D20 roll.

It happens when you create characters.

In Pathfinder, character creation takes a ridiculous amount of time. I ran it for about six years, and I saw it take well over an hour, sometimes going up to two for new players. As a GM who understood the system inside and out, I could get it done in about a half hour.

Losing a character in a game with such a painstaking character creation process is absolutely devastating. As a GM, you wonder if that person will bother to make a new character, or if they will just leave, and if they do, who will go with them? Will you even have a game afterwards?

And enemy statblocks are the same way. You look at these massive text blocks that include three different saving throws, the type of hit dice, types and sub-types of creature, and perhaps most hilariously unnecessary, ALL SIX STATS. Who on earth looks at all that and dares think “I’ll make some monsters of my own!”

Please understand, I’m not saying nobody makes their own monsters. I’m saying that it is an undertaking to make a monster with a statblock like that. Figuring out saves, stats, and heaven forbid you want to get CR correct, good luck with testing out that garbage.

Wrong, character creation can take less than 5min including writing it in a character sheet, it's the character design process that is time consuming in those games. Nothing prevents the GM to prepare ahead of time multiple character templates with pre-packaged options (and equipment) ready to go if the game in question is made to be a grinder of sort.

In short you're making an intellectual dishonest argument for your case and, by such, i can safely discard it as whole. Nigger.

That one's straightforward.
They did it with fear, they did it with menace, and they could easily do it with "Can't be blocked by greater than 1" or "Can't be blocked by 2 or less" if they just wanted to.

My city's first Premodern monthly ran today with 10 players. I went 2-2 with this hastily assembled UW Flippi list - I was running late hence some numbers look weird
0-2 Moneyball black
2-0 Flinker
0-2 FEB - I misplayed because of format knowledge, naming wrong with Meddling Mage, in G1 then mulled a 7 and 6 that I probably could've kept in game 2
2-1 Sligh
My losses were to 1st and 2nd place respectively so I scammed my way into 3rd place.

Wasn't meant to help make it more acceptable. I was actually trying to point out something the writer of Shield Hero likely noticed about one of the genre's tropes. Slavery in Isekai is often treated more as adopting a pet you could potentially have sex with rather than a serious social injustice.

>>97215784

Which is why the Shield Hero web novel is identifiable as a deconstruction while the manga and anime verge more toward standard isekais with an edgy protagonist. Most "fans" of the series don't really get as far as the New Seven Deadly Sins arc which shows just how messed up the MC's actions are.

One of the most prominent ones is the Silver Hand. Started as a "revange plot" against the ruling noble family of the biggest kingdom in the world, with a desire to kill the major members and their supporters. Over time, its members have found some shady shit that is connected to stuff like godhood and also the nature of other world and demons. Nowadays, it has several different 'sects' that have various goals and try to work together, somewhat.
They are also very prominent in alchemical and technological fields. One of their most infamous sub-organizations are alchemically-infused elite murderhobos that have little to no restraint. Other than that, their main power is them having a lot of money and influence.
Named after a punishment performed against thieves and bandits.
