>>96462174My argument is perfectly cogent, you're simply retarded. The writers *intended* to present the Jedi as villains, but were so incompetent they *actually* depicted them as completely justified to any rational, sane observer. This creates huge dissonance in the viewer as the writers repeatedly deploy tropes and character behaviours that make perfect sense if the Jedi are monsters who have done something despicable and shameful, but no sense in the context of the show where all of their actions against the shitwitches were perfectly reasonable.
>>96460674>I decided that this freighter was more like the IRL 'class' of Panamax ships. Built by various shipyards across the galaxy, with varioous reactors, engines, etc., but to a standardized set oof docking ports and dimennsions.I always liked to imagine that a lot of technological objects in the Star Wars setting tend to see licensed (or unlicensed) production runs by a variety of small manufacturers in the Rim in addition to the original manufacturer. I'm pretty sure the original X-wings from the GCW era were supposed to have been made that way, and if widely-distributed small-scale ship manufacturer existed to do thqt then it's probably a common business model.
>>96420478>Disney needs to give the Rebels/New Republic a cool helmetPersonally, I'd design "cool Rebel marines" like this:>space brigandine>shooting gloves>belt with between two and four pouches and a large holster for their blaster, which is about the same size as an E-11>take the Tantive IV helmet and modify it into looking more like a sallet, I love sallets
>>96462262Yeah- though in this instance I think it's mediated by them having not pressed the issue, just extending the offer. Yoda might have nagged them had they picked up one of the two if nothing went wrong- but you showcase it was overstepping bounds. >>96463900Can you back up your arguments with examples? Cause again, not my reading, and from what it seems, not the reading of most people who watched the show. >>96466134I think there needs to be continuity of designs to make the world feel related. In sense I argue that Republic Troopers need to look like good guy versions of Storm Troopers. This would provide visual continuity in the idea that they are the successor to the Republic in the way the Empire billed itself, as the Storm Trooper designs were descended from the Clone Trooper Designs. I would perhaps make the default a lighter version of the armor though- to suggest that they are less militaristic than the Empire, with the ability to armor them up for bigger military confrontations. So I'd limit armor to shins, forearms, chest-plate and helmet. I'd keep the white color, but maybe with more accents or a slightly off white to again differentiate them from Storm Troopers. For the Helmet I'd take the Alderaan helmet (which would double as a nice bout of symbolism), maybe make it a bit more compact (for ease of moving about in it), and adding a face-plate that turns it into a full helmet. The face plate I think is the area that would be the most 'new', and there'd be a lot of questions on what you'd want the 'face' of the Republic trooper to be. I think I'd go for a black visor over the eyes, since I think that's a bit more neutral than the more skull-shaped Storm Trooper Helmet. I'd also add elements of cloth straps or 'ammo pouches' around to help make them appear a bit less mechanical than the Storm Trooper.

I would like to present the hypothesis that the creation of /qst/ was detrimental to /tg/ as a whole.
>>96465694NTA but is it actually that big of an issue if, as you say, noonr but the bumpfag is in the thread anyway?Won't new threads and people posting on the newer threads fix things naturally?
>>96465437antibumpfags just use bumpfaggotry as a cudgel to attack what they actually hate: people making threads about personal settings or general fantasy and scifi concepts or tropes outside of established settings or gamesI have no skin in the "debate" myself though since I don't read those and am just here for /mtg/ and /acg/, just what I've seen
>>96465684>ah I get it, so bumpfags are ostensibly the OPs keeping their own threads alive?A common and obvious theory as to who is doing it, but one that I can disprove from experience because I've made threads only to have them kept alive against my will by bumpfag posting. > That being said, I've literally never seen any board have people that complain about that except on here./tg/ has a higher degree of autism than a lot of boards, we are better at pattern recognition so bumpfag posts stick out like a sore thumb
>>96465749Fix it how? /tg/'s population has been in freefall for years, any random autist could keep a thread alive for almost a year by himself because you only have to bump a thread once a day to keep it on the board. Fewer and fewer people bother to look at anything outside of the general threads they're already in, and bumping dead threads with botspam just reinforces the idea that there's nothing on the front page worth seeing.
>>96466255The fact of the matter is, sadly, that /tg/ (and, in truth, 4chan as a whole) cannot be saved without a dedicated team of moderators that recognize and understand how board culture works, actively prune low quality baitspam bullshit even if its not *technically* against the rules to remove bad faith posters and bots, and otherwise are content to largely be hands off and not target threads *even if they personally don't like them*. I don't see a path to getting there from here. It almost makes more sense to make a new 4chan style image board without 4chan's baggage and with a dedicated goal of maintaining quality and integrity and resisting bot and subverting influences.

>>96462690I'm gonna guess that you're either new or coming over from MtG. If you're looking for a Blue deck then you want Runick, which is to my knowledge the only (full) deck in the game that focuses on weaponized mill. It's a heavily control-oriented spell-based deck where all of the spells fire off at instant speed and have everything ranging from protection to removal (in one case, weaponized draws) that also exiles your opponent's deck on resolution of those effects. People commonly run pure variants with floodgates in addition to the control elements, which is how you get Runick Stun.
>>96462652>>96463959I figured an archetype built around milling in the end phase wouldn't work in a format where you don't get many end phases. I'll just keep fucking around with them in Master Duel.
>>96465726Yeah it's kind of a bygone era of the game which is a shame for all the effects that only trigger at a single point in the turn.If you really want to play LS, you can try out Edison format where they have a decent presence and keep to their original identity. The reason self mill is so rare to see is because it's extremely strong in a game where there's a a lot of GY manipulation like revives, banish for costs, etc. Tearlament+Ishizu stuff, Lightsworn, Burning abyss, "Grass decks" (that grass looks greener) were all meta at some point all of which were based around self mill. Maybe you'll find some enjoyment in those assuming enough of it is legal today or what format you play.

>>96466178>don't want to deal with this super drama-filled threadBullshit. This is the single general on /tg/ that gets the MOST janitorial and mod intervention, and there would be much LESS drama if they left us alone. They regularly delete over a hundred posts per thread. They lurk here much of the day and often instantly delete wrongthing comments. They clearly have an agenda, for example when they instantly delete the n00b guide as soon as they see it. And they leave fishfag = 2etard = false flag fag's posts up all the time while deleting a bunch of posts that are perfectly okay.
I'd like some feedback on a dungeon room I wrote, specifically about information flow>a treasure chest hangs on a chain, 15’ above the ground. The floor beneath the chest is dotted with a grid of slim holes. 20’ away, a large metal block hangs from another chain. Removing the chest or its contents causes the metal block (a counterweight) to drop, lowering portcullises over each door to trap treasure thieves. Lowering the chest causes spikes to eject from the holes, dealing 1d6 damage to anyone standing over them.Details like room dimensions are omitted. Does this read as too detailed? Not detailed enough? Are you able to conceptualize the trap through this description or is it confusing?
Incentivizing spending gold towards anything is an improvement when the players are used to not spend it at all. >knave A finds 100gp and buys 100gp cure light wounds cast and is ready to go on another adventure next day>knave B finds 200gp and does not cure himself because the player doesn't care knave B is suffering and will let him recover naturally for 18 days, because there is no incentive to spend gold.>both get 200 experience pointsThis is a minor issue but still.

It's baffling that the Knightly Order AoI is so incredibly shitty when 6E explored exactly the same concept but actually made it fun.> Orders have a range of positive traits such as being wealthy, blessed or brave> They also have negative traits like being humble, foreign or undisciplined> Mix and match to make your own OrderIt would be so simple to produce an updated list of these and actually make an AoI that is both fun and tactical. Also why is the KO the only AoI not to have any unique units or traits? You could just remove the 0-1 limit on Order upgrades in the GA list and the whole AoI becomes redundant.

>>96466207GURPS, in particular GURPS melee combat. Its highly simulationist nature means that if I can think of a real life manuever, I can pretty easily replicate it using GURPS maneuvers, and combat, even between just two guys with swords, has a lot of thought and strategy behind it. The variety of manuevers also means that you can mechanically express a character through their fighting style in a way other systems struggle with. A big bruiser with a two handed axe fights in a meaningfully different way than a highly skilled knife user, and you can even portray how aggressive your character feels through things like All-Out Attacks.Another upside of GURPS combat is the hit location/damage system. Where other systems will tell you that a dagger cannot, statistically, injure the average martial character in a mortal way with a single swing, in GURPS a dagger to the eye, vitals, or throat is always a danger, even to an experience knight or tough barbarian warrior.
