>>96504693>>96504712seems like the widowmakers being a "symbol of defiance" despite not being anything like that in life seems more like early installment weirdness, because we know the symbol wasn't removed from clan recordswolverines would definitely be a more logical symbol for anti-clan independents
>>96504744Widowmakers highlighted a lot of flaws in the clan system, especially in the way they got railroaded into absorption. You can point out many ways in which the council was blatantly unfair and biased and didn't even so much as pretend to check themselves.

>>96493688Is this considered a spearhead or just a "race" set?I feel that comparing other sets is way less minis, however point wise i can see the golem and war machine being the ones who suck the points outAnd as every other anon mentioned, i fucking hate how they shave some of the chaos dorfs or not show their beard>>96504505Guess the hobgrots will be fodder and objective campers?
>>96504505I'm confused, do the dwarf warriors come in 5's or 10's? It seems like only 5's, so 1 wound each is kinda pitiful. Getting the feeling the centaur spam will be the way people play. The construct profile looks good on it's face but the averages on it are pretty eh.
>>96504636Even ironbreakers come in groups of 10, so i doubt the chorfs will consider themselves below dorfs10 chorfs for maybe 100-120 points?

I'd still go for immortality as quickly as possible but even if I secure my survival the added intrusive adventures should provide a secure source of entertainment right?

8th edition effectively killed this setting and franchise. The setting progression destroyed it all man. How would we fix Warhammer?Arch was right Outercircle was right Gamza was right
>>96504453Comparison soo bad I'm starting to wish the "capeshit" and "muh MCU" anon came in.

Sup /tg/ https://2d4chan.org/wiki/Imperial_Guard_Regiment_Creation_TablesYou know the drill 1d10 for Regiment Classification
>>96504470>Imperial Guard from a Specific World We have made friends! We seem to have forged a close bond of brotherhood and mutual respect with those Guard Regiments from a particular world, be that Cadia, Catachan etcThey are our friends and close allies! But of course we have sworn enemies too….1d100 for Regimental Enemy(maybe these are the guys we are specialists against?)
Rolled 97 (1d100)>>96504499
>>96504631>Minor Xenos SpeciesThe galaxy is full of filthy alien scum, and it seems that our sworn enemies are from one of the lesser known races of alien!!1d100 for which minor race is our foe
Rolled 10 (1d100)>>96504680I always enjoyed rolling in the ally table for an "enemy" as well. Makes for more fluff for a "someone high up in what should be an allied group really hates us or our command for x reason and actively fuck with us."
>>96504709>roll twice on this chart Oh boy lads, looks like we’ve got a Xenos Coalition to fight Give me two more 1d100s
It's supposedly going to be dropping here soon (it was supposed to drop this summer, but apparently they needed more time to cook). I went to their Twitter page, and it only has 120 followers, so I'm feeling a little nervous. Worst case scenario, I can pinch off lore that they've promised to include if they completely butcher the actual game mechanics and shoehorn things into a better system if I have to. I hope I don't. Anyone familiar with Skydawn games, or are they a "literally who" of the TTG scene?
>>96498061Forgot to post.
>>96498061I would probably try some homebrew stuff so I wouldn't be tied to explicit lore >>96309683. I'm hoping the corebook will have a lot of material to supplement homebrew stuff.>artworkLooks better than what I drew in highschool.
>>96496904The Techer is one of my favorite renditions of a magic warrior/gish in games. Just beat the shit out of everyone with an elemental infused with a want that conspicuously looks like a sword or a mace and fall back on normal ranged spells whenever I needed. The Phantom using the staff as a scythe and the Etoile turning the wand into a huge laser were also really fun.
>>96498429I really hope they give us something for the scion classes. They were all fun as hell.
>>96499837It always saddened me how we didn't got Scion classes for the other weapons. I feel like a monk-like class with the fists and the jet boots was something a lot of people hoped for but it unfortunately never happened.
Am I missing anything or do Free/Far Traders flying off a C or D starport really always have a 25% chance or so of misjumping? In Traveller Classic, that is, the 1977 rules.> Throw 12+ for a misjump to occur, DM+5 if within 100 planetary diameters, +3 if using unrefined fuel (except military and scout ships), -1 if using refined fuel, +2 if operating beyond the required date for annual maintenance.Meaning as I said, on a 9+ on 2d6, misjump. And then class C and D starports, offering only unrefined fuel, are like 42% of all randomly generated starports? And then 50% chance the hex they pop up in has nothing by raw. That all sounds fucking painful, unless you somehow stick to A and B ports. I guess that explains all those low population planets. Are there other modifiers I missed somewhere? Something like, god the gas giant presence roll that's just a random line in book 2 instead of being in book 3. The 1981 rules are so much kinder about it, damn.Traveller thread I guess.
>>96498250>I just wonder how much they played with this at all at the time they wrote it, or if their players only flew to A and B ports like I said in the OP.I have no idea but I would assume a lot of C and D starport travel took place. I can't believe that many people would enjoy a game where misjump party wipes off a single die roll were so common.
Where does one even find a game of traveller? I've been interested in it for some time
>>96503567Buy or download the books and run it, friendo.
>>96494640Play Mongoose 2e instead.ayylmao
>>96494617Well this was another unexpected find while going through the several boxes i picked up for dirst cheap at an estate sale. The core 3 black books of Traveller.Pretty sure these are 1st edition as says 1977. If theres more I have not seen it yet. Currently reading through. Working through chargen to see how it plays out.So the career section really is fairly lethal on PCs. Two Scouts with not bad stats croaked on their 2nd tours. Merchant with ok stats somehow made it through a full set of tours and scored a commission each time.Bout as far as got so far.
Every single 10th edition player deserves to have their flesh flensed from their bones while they seethe at the sight of people happily playing older editions in front of them.

Trench Crusade General - /trench/Weird love Edition >What is Trench Crusade? An alternate weird history 28mm/32mm tabletop skirmish game still in a pre-release playtesting phase but with the full release slated for this year. Based on the art and lore of Mike Franchina, whose illustrations you may have seen floating around on /tg/ for a several years now, and designed by Tuomas Pirinen, one of the original creators of Mordheim. It's grimdark, it's visceral, it's awesome, and it's very Blanchitsu. >What Trench Crusade is not TC not an excuse for you to discuss IRL religion, history that didn't occur in the game, culture war shit, or discord bullshit on /tg/. Keep it on topic. >What's the QRD on the background? The Knights Templar turned heretic and opened the Gates of Hell when they took Jerusalem during the First Crusade. Over 800 years later the war is still ongoing as technology has developed to a pseudo diesel-punk WW1 standard and a third of Humanity has sided with the Infernal Princes. >How do I get started? All the files are free online, but are split between the website and the discord. >>96496486>This, as opposed to Aabria as DM who constantly shat on Carrero (and only her), almost bringing her to tears. What prompted that? I don't know who these people are or what their deal is.
>>96501307NTA but Arabia was railroding hard and forcing Carrero to bring her character down lower and lower and forced her to wear a crown of LolthOn top that she also kept having her make rolls for no reason and when she tried to have her character do something interesting or creative she got mad and told her to stop running her game (in a joking manner but you could hear the seethe)

Does your party show mercy to bandits if they surrender?
>>96498164> if there is rampant banditry killing some bandits isnt going to solve the problemThats why you dont stop at "some"
>>96500720>punisher>when you're basically just being the right hand of the local lord who's doing such a shitty job governing that there are bandits everywhere
>>96495155We usually end up giving them a jobIn most of my 5e sessions whenever a bandit group tries to rob us on the road we end up killing the leader or some of them and whoever survives passes our test that we were totally putting them through this whole timeIt's kind of slavery but we pay and feed them what we can and if they run away while we're sleeping we don't really careThough when they steal something we usually hunt them down even if it's something minor like a wine skin One time in late game we had three of our bandit recurits go take care of the other bandits in front of usThe three tried to get them to run away or else he's gonna regret it They didn't listen and they fought We took in a new member of our companyThe dm described how the newest bandit looked up to the other three in fear and the three looked back with a somber expression, remembering when they used to feel that kind of fear
>>96495155I will give them the chance to make their case. I don't expect to be convinced, but they will have the chance to change my mind. But if they have been killing random travelers, they should expect to receive as much mercy as they have given and no more.
