So what are you working on?

>Why should I homebrew?
/tg/ products are fairly unique in that it's actually pretty simple to make them these days, with a plethora of products to assist in making and playtesting your game. Making your own games helps understand why games are made the way they are, as well as being fun to do.

>What you should post
Ideas for games, games you're currently making, updates to your own games in broad strokes, and any homebrewing for existing products that don't get much attention. Discussion about the above is welcome. Post good, be good, and look over others products, they care if someone looks more than anything.

What does that have to do with anything? Are you a retard?

Been working on a martial arts shonen/xianxia tactical ttrpg for a while. Hitting the feedback block again so I would love if someone could give it a read and tell me what they think. Looking for whats missing and whats confusing, not looking for feedback on book structure. Also general balancing needs to be worked on but feedback on that is welcome too. The main "gimmick" is the declare/resolve combat system that lets characters act at different rates and allows to respond between the start and end of another characters action.
You are also able to use energy to enhance your physical properties like DBZ or YuYu Hakusho.

I am pretty happy with the framework foundation, even if it is crunchy.

chud means cannibal human underground dweller, it is an old grindcore movie, yet it is the liberal reddit owner who ran /r/cannibalism . Its the left projecting onto the right and it is a linguistic false flag to poison people against the real cannibal human underground dwellers who walk amongst us today
>>
>>97828661
>Grindcore movie
Frindcore is an offshoot of Death Metal; it is a music genre.
The term you are fumbling for is "Grindhouse", and desu, I'd call it more of a shlock horror than a , and I'm not sure it meets the grindhouse criteria because that's about it getting a double-bill back to back release at cheap cinemas.
I'd call it more "Shlock Horror".

Being a Chud myself, I don't care what they call me.

D20 needs some decently big numbers for mods to matter more than dice. Anything less than +11 means the dice roll probably matters a lot more than the mods. And this is before getting into what you want your target numbers to be. If you want mods to matter more than rolls you're probably gonna wanna do 3D6 where the majority of rolls will land within a smaller average range, where +1 actually matters a lot more than +1 in a D20 system.

Welcome to the Old School Renaissance General, the thread dedicated to first-decade, Gygaxian D&D, its faithful modern clones, and content created for use with them. Later editions (2e and newer) should be discussed elsewhere.

Broadly, OSR games encourage a tonal and mechanical fidelity to Dungeons & Dragons played as intended by its creators from 1974 to 1983 — less emphasis on linear adventures and overarching metaplots and a greater emphasis on player agency.

If you are new to the OSR, welcome! Ask us whatever you're curious about: we'll be happy to help you get started. We also have two excellent beginner guides created by Anons with feedback from the thread that you can check for help:

I made a thread about a TTRPG topic, the discussion was nice, and once it was done the thread got archived in ~5 days as it should be. Nice.
The spam is being necrobumped for several months while the known redditor monitors the board to make sure there's always at least two spam threads of his at all times.
Do you see the difference.
>>
>>97827116
I've made threads before. Sometimes I have a good time, but then I accidentally create a topic too close to bumpfag's obsessions and he necros it for a month or three. Or puckee starts dumping his faggy images and derails the thread. Or some faggot scraper makes a neckbeardia video about it. Whatever the case, it kills the mood.

I think if you do some stilling of yellow or pink before the next glaze you'd be happier. Also I think it looks good and is at the point where it needs the contrast of other painted parts to look "finished"

How is the post instantly recognizable as AI slop then?
Your reaction seems like a kneejerk reaction to something I'm not seeing, as if it was an image you'd seen before and previously reacted to.
Whereas my reaction was to gloss over and ignore it until you reacted. It's a nothing burger about a module. Why react?

The shit I personally hate about AI images isn't there so I don't know what got your panties in a twist.
Again, it's like the first time I saw an avatar fag post some furry thing. It was nothing, some wolf shit, but those who'd seen his shit a thousand times already jumped on him telling him to fuck off. Hence, previous drama.

Or, I could be genuinely missing something obvious.

Is maliss even worth considering without march hare?
Everything else in the deck is really cheap, only backup @ignister is a bit expensive (and hopefully impulse will go down)
>>
>>97827607
Of course not, that card is literally the only thing keeping the deck afloat. People seldom take it to YCS these days (0.1% usage iirc), but the insane amount of bodies it can put out (which means shitting out generic cyberse toolbox monsters) is its main appeal, and it's all facilitated by march hare and backup secretary.

It'd be like wanting to play dracotail after RA05 with just faimena and the cheap cards, but no lukias, phryxul and arthalion.

hi yugiohbros, magic refugee here fleeing the endless waves of crossoverslop and getting into yugioh for the first time since i was 7 years old. im planning on purchasing the 2026 legendary decks starter and ive started playing master duel, but i have some questions. I built an ancient gear deck based on one that supposedly got to master rank in the ranked ladder (i dont have all the handtraps yet though because master duel makes crafting ultra rares a limited thing), but every game i've been completely obliterated turn 1 by insane combos that i cant stop (pic related, red supernova dragon alone was impossible for me to kill because of its effects). where am i going wrong here, and is the entire main format meta really this insanely combo oriented? are there no midrange and control decks like there are in magic? if not, are there not alternate formats that slow the game down and make it more interactive? it seems like even something simple like limiting special summons to 3 a turn would fix a lot of the issues. anyway, how can i improve and make sure i dont lose every game turn 1, what are the best starter products to buy for someone looking to build a semi-competitive deck for cheap, and what other advice do you guys have?

NTA but one of the responses. I was just saying for most practical uses a d100 is the same as a d20. especially for the stuff like the other anon was mentioning like trying to find a 25% outcome. Its generally only spcifically good for if you have a d100 table or you use the 1's place for some side information. think Warhammer fantasy rpg uses the 1's place to determine criticals or something.

I dont recommend d20, I prefer 2d6 mostly, just commenting that for most uses you arent going to get more out of a d100 than a d20 since you are likely doing things in 5 or 10% increments anyways (1/20 and 2/20).

>you aren't doing (the thing that makes you a warlock) but you're getting fucked with by your DIVINE patron because your powers came with a curse
cmon man, I kind of see how it could be a similar fantasy but witch is still clearly the pick for a warlock and oracle's class fantasy is clearly more close to... ya know... a mythological oracle....

>>97827482
I mean mechanically sure I guess but that mechanical perception of a warlock basically only exists in 4th and 5th edition D&D, or things that have copied it I suppose. The basic idea of pact based arcane caster is a much more relevant comparison unless someone was specifically looking to be an eldritch blast bot IMO.
>>
>>97827482
>Compare to how Artificer got split between Alchemist, Inventor, and now Runesmith and barely anyone bats an eye.
those three classes are all terrible in some way desu
>>
>>97826796
>it doesn't have eldritch blast or anything but both are arcane spellcasters who get their magic from a pact with a powerful magic entity. Although I'll give you pathfinder's patrons lean towards the more distant and mysterious rather than the kind that has a chance to breath down your neck.
Arcane spellcasting is probably the least important thing from Warlock identity. Hells, you could probably fit them into any of magic types without changing much fluff-wise. Patron being the neckbreather is likely the most important aspect of the class identity thing, whereas Eldrich Blast being customizable thing is probably most important mechanical identity.
