I have no idea where the Guild comes into this (what a non sequitur!), but a Resplendent Destiny would not, on its own, get you through a restricted area. You can don a Destiny that makes you look like an officer and people will not question that you are indeed an officer if you look the part, but trying to slip into a legion general's tent will have the guy standing outside ask "Hey wait a minute, who are you? I've never seen you before."

I'm planning a road trip horror campaign, where players will drive down an ominous high way and encounter things like haunted motels, cryptids in the woods, small towns with dark secrets, bands of murderous bikers, etc.

I already got some ideas brewing (like most rest stops are odd, but not dangerous to get the players to let their guards down when the dangerous ones pop up, crashed cars on the roadside that can be scavenged but will try and run them off the road later
), but could we get a thread going for road trip horror ideas, like the space horror threads in the good ol' days?

You could take an idea from the vidya Pacific Drive. Where their car will develop quirks like will only start when the wiper blades are running or the horn sounds as long as the headlights are on. Fixable with some effort but annoying to do so.

character wise its just a simple design that is very real so its easy to associate with, add in some nostalgia and its a recipe for success when it doesn't need to carry anything on its own and just a decent character alongside others. despite being the mc no one is there for him, but for the digimon.

as a card hes just a cheap way for decks that want cards in trash to search and is generic, even now hes still just barely good enough if you only care about the search. if your deck can benefit easily from the second effect as well, triggering it easily and making good use of the eggs, or just as a way to make your stacks more difficult to kill by sapping memory when you do it, then he ends up an incredibly good card.
purple decks kind of hand in hand have the trash requirements and self destructive effects, so it can often just be a perfect card for them.

The problem with Zwart Deez is that his only story appearance starts with him already being Zwart and doesn't really have connections to Greymon and Garurumon, so he doesn't REALLY fit in with the current Omnimon setups in the card game. But I'll give it a shot.

You mention the series but only the first novel is focused on Menzo or Ellistrae. The sequel is a pirate adventure which has an enjoyable drow villainess and the third book is an unsatisfactory conclusion to the story set up in the sequel. I still recommend the first two books but if you are looking for something that's entirely focused on drow society that series will not fit the bill

We'll never get a truly candid answer to this, but I bet that Matt never included her when he was creating and balancing encounters. She never contributes anything meaningful. In the final encounter vs the BBEG of C3, they were 15th level, and she was still just firing off fucking Scorching Ray. Next-to-useless. This is something I've seen veteran players fail to do. If you're not having fun and not enjoying the game, you've gotta talk to your GM and figure out what can be done about that. If what you've been doing for years isn't fun and isn't making the game better, you've got to change your approach (this goes for players and GMs). It doesn't have to be a confrontation and it doesn't have to be group action where you pull all the other players aside and make them agree with you that the game is bad and you need complain together like a union serving a formal dispute to the boss.

The easiest way to do this without making it a big deal is to simply state what you liked and disliked at the end of the game

One thing I think of with the Bioweapon Forest is that it could essentially be using Glowfruit as Photosynthetic Capacitors.
With really big stuff it either needs Bio-Capacitor Organs to hold the majority of it's collected sunlight or heat or it's Locomotion method needs to be the way it feeds like the Kraken or my Sandworm idea.

I think they really need to lean into the sliminess of worms. Give it acid pustules for defense and its secrets a resin slime for digging to GeForce the tunnel behind it so it can transport troops inside it and dig tunnels for regular travel or base building.

So splicer being splicers we would need smaller 1 man worms to fill out the page count. Give it more the traditional grabbed tremors worm with a hard beak and tentacles to grab things. Their main purpose would be for infiltration, able to 'dig prowl' by traveling slower through concrete and pop up in cities undetected or a numbing agent to let them dig into splicer bases without detection.

I think the idea that it can run out of energy is a fun penalty mechanic. That if its attacked it can only hold out for so long before it depletes energy for weapons so for any threat its up to players to decide if they can take out the threat before the forest runs out or if they need to engineer a retreat.
