>>97835335It's just another nail of disappointment. 3rd edition was around half-decent and half-awful, and everything since has been a steady decline with occasional good releases to soften the blow. The whole 3rd edition main-story getting derailed because they decided to squat the primary antagonist army (BoC) is still so baffling, but not THAT surprising with this shitty company. And ofcourse now the whole setting is just being further fucked with with new edition on top of my favorite faction being completely unrecognizable from where it started.

It sure is funny how the composition of your matchmaking queue will completely change when you start playing a new deck, almost like it's trying to set you up against things that specifically counter what you're trying to do, but as soon as you build something to try to counter those decks they vanish like a fart in the wind.
>>97837588Ranked or unranked? Unranked matchmaking takes deck's "weight" into account.

Welcome to /2eg/, a thread dedicated to all things 2nd Edition D&D related - including settings, lore, modules, and derived systems (Alternity, Buck Rogers XXVc, For Gold and Glory, Hackmaster, Myth and Magic, and more).Since 2e draws heavily from earlier editions, older modules are welcome too. Other media derived from AD&D (such as Infinity Engine video games) also has a home here. It's what you play, not how you play it. RAW or homebrew, as long as your table is having fun, there's no wrong way to play. There's a surprisingly complete 2e fan wiki for rules stuff, it's excellent for quick reference:https://adnd2e.fandom.com/wiki/Advanced_Dungeons_%26_Dragons_2nd_Edition_Wikiad&d 2e archiveaHR0cHM6Ly93ZWIuYXJjaGl2ZS5vcmcvd2ViLzIwMjUwMjA0MTczNzUwL2h0dHBzOi8vdGhlLWV5ZS5ldS9wdWJsaWMvQm9va3MvcnBnLnJlbS51ei9EdW5nZW9ucyUyMCYlMjBEcmFnb25zL0FEJkQlMjAybmQlMjBFZGl0aW9uLw==Remember to keep things civil.Previous thread: >>97806516Comment too long. Hello elegan/tg/gentlemen,Bit of an odd question, but, I am travelling from USA to Europe and I will visit over there a friend of mine who is into /tg/ stuff and lives over there now. We have a rule of not bringing gifts to eachother, but nonetheless I wanted to bring something, maybe not in excess of 10$. What could I bring him? Preferably something that he cannot get in Europe or is more expensive there. Any ideas? Thanks in advanceTL;DR cheap stuff /tg/ related which is more expensive or had to get in Europe than the USApic unrelated
Anything that is popular enough is also available in Europe. Assuming you have enough prep time, look around /awg/ for the manufacturers list. There are some indie mini makers that don’t sell across the pond (or the shipping costs are insane). For example, I found this old school manufacturer that I had shipped to my ex-gf uncle’s and I picked it up when we visited last summer.
>>97833049Pro Acryl paints maybe? Those are made in USA if I recall correctly. But then again they're liquid so maybe they'll get stopped during your molestation by the TSA at the airport. A good reaper miniature you think he will like possibly?I'm not sure beyond that.
>>97833049>We have a rule of not bringing gifts to eachother, >but nonetheless I wanted to bring somethingDon't. Really. You're just going to make it weird.
>>97833049>What could I bring him?Wishes of health, good luck and happiness, you rule-breaking faggot.
>>97834113Pro Acryl got a distributor in France not so long ago so us euros can finally get them (thank fucking god). I used to put them in my check-in luggage when coming back from the US and never got an issue with TSA.Also, we got Reaper here too.
Why did domain level play fall out of style?
>>97837556Nobody bought the AD&D domain level modules, and the attempt to reintroduce it in 2E flopped commercially.

Kisui-anon, if you’re there, you never answered what Kisui’s actual strategy in the race would be so if you gave me a little advice on it that’d be cool thanks
>>97837549>you never answered what Kisui’s actual strategy in the race would be I thought I did. They need to cross the water right? So he and Kaz can travel under the water iirc, and probably faster than a boat. The fun idea was for Nekomaru to get a Kan'oke mask to filter oxygen or creep into his lungs for him. Otherwise they can do that PoC thing with the boat, instead a big seaweed hat. After that it was leaving traps in the forms of spikes, punji sticks, etc. I also thought that the idea of them using gliders made from kelp to skip some distance would be cool and useful.Anything more specific?

Welcome to the Old School Renaissance General, the thread dedicated to first-decade, Gygaxian D&D, its faithful modern clones, and content created for use with them. Later editions (2e and newer) should be discussed elsewhere.Broadly, OSR games encourage a tonal and mechanical fidelity to Dungeons & Dragons played as intended by its creators from 1974 to 1983 — less emphasis on linear adventures and overarching metaplots and a greater emphasis on player agency. If you are new to the OSR, welcome! Ask us whatever you're curious about: we'll be happy to help you get started.
