>>217400735>REEEEEEE DON'T BUILD THAT TOWER. NOW ALL OF YOU SPEAK DIFFERENT LANGUAGES The main Bible only hints at this:>Genesis 11:6 - “Nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.”According to other books not allowed in the bible, Humans were using forbidden angelic knowledge to build the tower. Angelic knowledge never meant for them. It was hinted that the top of the tower that was meant to be "cosmic gateway" to heaven. Using the angelic knowledge, humans who were still alive could enter heaven, and visit the dead whose souls were in Heaven. This would cause chaos. Death would have no meaning if living humans could just enter Heaven and say hello to their dead relatives and friends. So the tower needed to go. Humans were getting too prideful and arrogant and messing up gods plan. God wiped it out and divided humanity so they would never attempt it again. >REEEEE DID YOU JUST EAT THAT APPLE? Does anyone else think it's weird how much this show influenced the 90s and then as soon as the 2000s hit it went to shit? What a weird coincidence?
The myth arc when it was about alien colonization was fine to me. Then it became about scully birthing alien Jesus and super soldier shit
>>217399986the overarching plot was always terrible in the show. It literally sounds like a less coherent Kojima plot if you read it out. Chris Carter is a hack and was carried by others that left the show before it finished. This is like when people talk about how Heroes suddenly goes to shit after the writer's strike and it's because the good writers left the show after that but somehow people are flummoxed when it happens to many other shows when they can just look at imdb. People just often make the mistake of thinking that the creators of shows are actually the reason shows are good and that's only sometimes the case.
>>217401467The details of the mytharc were dumb, but for at least the good seasons of xfiles, many of those episodes are pretty good individually. Smoking Man is just fun to watch
Robert Stack in a trenchcoat introducing some super goofy low-budget 'aliens land in some guy's back garden' bit was enough to captivate millions of viewers on a regular basis in the 90s
For me it’s Krycek

The Bone Temple is a kino Gnostic movie. Think about it. Samson is like Adam (he's even named after a Biblical figure), he's brought out of a state of nature into a state of humanity by Dr. Ian Kelson who gives him a "fruit" (anti-psychotic medication in the film) that lifts the veil from his eyes and suddenly he has knowledge of what he really is. Dr. Ian Kelson is even called Satan in the movie, just like the serpent in the garden was. But he also is sacrificed, similar to Jesus. Jesus and the serpent are one and the same in Gnostic myth. Samson also reminds me a lot of Enkidu in the Epic of Gilgamesh. He even looks like Enkidu (and anyone with knowledge of history knows that the Epic of Gilgamesh inspired the Book of Genesis since Enkidu = Adam).
>>217401239In the previous film Spike says the rage virus acts like steroids on some people so yes. He should actually have extremely small testicles.
>>217401149There's a reason I've been gravitating to Eastern productions. They have their issues as well but not remotely on the same scale. Then of course there are books and (a lot of) vidya.
