In the virtual world it was the big spinning face, Sark was its number one guy, and the blue people were programs.These are good themes to build on: A virtual world, artificial intelligence, sports as serious business. So of course the sequel has a bunch of quasi-theological horseshit, and in the end Space Jesus sacrifices himself and the mannequin chick is some special kind of angel, and one of the bad guys was actually a good guy all along. Like, at the climax of the movie, he remembers that he's Tron. It's fucking retarded.This franchise only had a chance if it stayed on theme.
