in universe they based christian religions and the seele cult off of the dead sea scrolls which were basically user manuals for the black/white moons (the ships for the races) which led to all the christian iconography and naming conventions similarities

basically in universe christianity is a pan spermia based cult based on an an alien user manual

on another note though, clearly the FAAR (the original aliens) are basically godlike beings, seeing as they can create something like super rei and merge all souls into one, so the cross iconography ect might have some real direct metaphysical link to the after life ect

Where does the show say that Christianity exists in their universe? I don't remember that ever being demonstrated.

i think the two main things are
1. misato's cross necklace
2. we briefly see asukas mothers funeral in what looks like a christian church

i think to assume that there is ZERO christianity within eva is crazy, seeing as without christianity, the entire planet would look drastically different by the time the series took place.

The question is how many lads wanna fuck a 45 year old Brigitte where you can pinpoint the exact amount of cigarettes she had for the day just by hearing her voice.

Also its way more expensive than any other method of getting laid.

The moment when she is bidding on one screen and playing poker to get enough money on the other screen was really cool. The character itself was really interesting and cool.

But, the ending where she does the "right" thing felt a little off-character. It's like a sudden abrupt change and I didn't get it. Where did this moral animus suddenly come from? I don't get it.

I feel like they didn't project the change, or maybe I missed the signals.

It's better than anything Fincher has made except for maybe Zodiac or if you're a FCfag. There's a more recent psycho-thriller called A Desert that has a similar aesthetic, a hot chick, and tone. These are the only good movies this decade.

I don't care about all that pedantic autistic nonsense. I can use my suspension of disbelief to understand that maybe the prosecutors needed that last nail on the coffin to get the murderer, or maybe they didn't need it and the hero's acquisition of the final materials were redundant. Anyway, it doesn't matter at all, that's not the important part according to my pov.

The important part to me is the hero's motivations, how did she come to that conclusion even given the portrayal of her lifestyle etc. Her actions in the end were not projected at all. She didn't seem to have the personality for it.

Maybe the ultimate message is don't judge a book by its cover or something, but that's kind of a silly message. If they had just projected or given some indicators or expanded a little more about how the relationship with the homeless girl changed her attitude, maybe it would be more compelling.

The ending action just felt very abrupt and unusual for the character, to me.

Stretch materials, the reason Roddenberry didn't want zips is because he had this big thing about how future clothes would be skin-tight, in the 60's spandex would have been pretty expensive for a TV budget so they had to have a hidden zip on the uniform shirt and on the boots to get them as tight as they wanted. When TNG came out, Spandex was affordable, which is why they were all wearing it until somebody managed to pry Gene out of the driving seat.

"Lost in Space" also had this idea that future people would wear really form-fitting clothes. They made it work by buying commercially available ski-pants and basically anchoring the actor's shirts in place with hidden snaps.

I hate being a former child actress, and I despise the people that enabled my abuse.

I won't reveal myself, but at twelve years old, I starred in a children's TV show for a couple of years. (although they've replaced me with another actress.) To keep it short, I was in various Broadway musicals, involved in gymnastics, educational videos, and television shows before I stopped. I was once a nominee for a Daytime Emmy Award back in 2006, "Outstanding Performer in a Children's Series."

On my birthday while we were filming the show, I went out to eat lunch with the production crew, and the man, director and actor behind the whole thing suddenly got up, gave a speech and said that the group was going to give me a birthday present. Which was a dog that i've named Audrey. (my mother, rest in peace knew that i've always wanted a dog and wanted to surprise me.)

I won't go into all the details because some of the memories are still hazy, but he, and the crew spent a year making me comfortable with touch, orals, being naked etc. I started to think it was normal to be like that. They would take me in to my room and abuse me any way they want. Later, it was all of them at once. I didn't know what was right or wrong.

No one ever suspected anything either. There wasn't an adult in life who could watch out for me. I hate when people recognize me and want a picture because I remember all those times when a few men (and him) would have me pose nude or in panties or in wigs or outfits in the empty studio in freezing cold weather.

I was really sexualized, which I think happens to a lot of young girls who are onscreen. It’s not like I was on set trying to be sexy. I get joked about, when people go up to me and go: "Hey, you sexy woman." And it was just really disgusting looking back at it. You’re put in a room with adults you’ve never seen before. You have to introduce yourself, read from a script, and i'm just done with it.

You want a true answer:
If you are a musician you are in control of the show and what it's done and what is changed, and the crowd is a direct feedback on what you do.
Is about control and validation, and making your concert gives more of both
