I hate that shit myself buuuuut picking up these games five years later with all DLC for like 5 bucks is always fucking great, I picked up XCOM2 WOTC a week ago finally and have been HAVING A FUCKING BLAST, absolutely love the WOTC content and the "kings"/"rulers" whatever the fuck they're called. So much dynamic shit bolted on that kept getting introduced every few missions, and I thought X1 EW was already PEAK.

I'm not sure what the combat system in this game actually is, because I rolled the game on "Normal" with that one character while everyone else just sort of cheered her on.

There was some sort of final boss battle against a chaos guy but argenta just killed him in one turn and then everyone shrugged and carried on.

The hardest part of the game was that moment in commoragh where your party is split up and you don't have any gear.

Gotcha Force was an original IP version of what is now collectively called Gundam Vs. which Capcom developed for Bandai when it was made, people sperg about it because it's a Gamecube exclusive and therefore had to be the greatest thing ever devised. Gundam Vs. itself was kind of sort of a take on Virtual On adapted to 2v2, licensed units, and standard arcade controls.

There's also Magician's Dead that was made by the Gundam Vs. dev team, Bamco had some wack ass version with people instead of robots for the west that flopped, Dissidia AC/NT was heavily based on the concept but mixed with the PSP games, and there's some Chinese mecha girl f2p ripoff on PC these days.

I played on both JP & TW in the game's last two years, and it was quite apparent that COG put themselves into a very awkward position with shitty grind scales going all over the place, some trimmed to twigs when others were still spaghetti - made from bad decisions on their part and maybe higher-up Capcom execs all over 12 years. Not to mention they were incredibly selective with localizing the game in different regions, whose service was questionable, and the main devs themselves kind of struggled to keep on top of updating shit properly and being on time (GG was supposedly meant to be the graphical update, implications of a Z-Rank exist here and there). It could truly be a 'neverending Monster Hunter' if they could readily address shit but maybe building on what was a port of Dos would catch up to them regardless.

Anyway, I'm sure most people Frontier-curious already got their full with private servers going even harder on tourist mode than COG allowed by the end of the game's life.

That is what amounts to most western responses, because the same people complaining about that pretty much knew fucking nothing about the actual game itself to pick apart beyond a subscription cost. Meanwhile the local japs knew the game can be absurdly P2W, and keep in mind the game was also competing against stuff like PSO2 by the time the game instated G Rank; some players even outright went quitting the game for fucking FGO when Extreme Raviente was announced.

I think you haven't played in a while, we can craft weapons entirely now from scratch. Even if the weapon isn't in any of the shops, you can buy a low level gray weapon to upgrade to max. You just need to use the weapon class to earn the perks you want, and then you can change them at any time as well as any bonuses on the gear like '+15% damage to carapace' or whatever.

Unity Cup is a bit harder than URA Finale and substantially more complicated, which is why people generally recommend not starting with it, but it should absolutely be possible to beat even with weak cards. If you feel like you've gotten used to the fundamentals of training then feel free to give it a whirl

This doesn't matter. the 1* and 2* umas don't get drastically better after you level them up, and 3* umas aren't guaranteed to be better than your 2* umas like say, Golshi, Grass Wonder, etc. Ryan has one of the most important uniques in the game and she's a 1* uma, just saying.

This is important, but can also be worked around. If you ever need help with your deck or just want some ideas, post it and people will tell you which cards to use based on what you have avaialble

Also important, but can be streamlined with borrows. Only 3 borrows per day, but take advantage of it as it helps with your parent breeding too. Use those borrow slots and find parents with good sparks you want on sites like chronogenesis.net and uma.moe.

Basically, you want to borrow a parrent that has 3 star blue sparks on the main parent, and 3* blue sparks on both grandparents, making it a 9* parent. This gives you a shit ton of stats basically. It gets more complex than that if you'd like but at its simplest, parents are important for good stats as well as helpful abilities, much more than a lot of people seem to understand. Take your time with breeding, but it's worth figuring out eventually.

Right now just use those sites and look up a 9* parent, probably with stamina sparks as that's the most annoying stat to train up.

Been playing loads of one piece, I wouldn't give it more than a 3/5. It's like simpler magic with a bit more maths and very strict lines/plays that don't really change from match to match. Might be hard at the start but when you know your deck and esp all the others in the format it becomes very algorithmic. You can often tell who wins very early and there isn't much wiggle room for comebacks like in magic (my experience in magic is mainly limited and legacy btw)
