Post times when a show contradicts itself and shits on what was established before.

In the new season of Gumball, Richard is stated to be 30 years old. This makes zero sense as "The Laziest"mentions that Richard beat Larry in a lazy competion in the Summer of 83. Also "The Line" has him being a OG fan of the Star Wars movies and watched the premieres and Holiday specials.

>Nicole discovers this by going through each and every option she could have had in the past,
I love how the episode ignores the good men like Larry, Penny's dad or the construction man. Nicole just imagine her life with Tobias' father (the biggest jerk of the town) and Banana Joe's dad. Also, I find it funny how they didn't give her other kids.

This reminds me - Larry's earliest backstory (and the earliest reason behind him wageslaving across town) was that of Elmore's laziest NEET until he encountered Richard and, upon seeing what the latter has become, had decided to turn his life around. Nicole saw her husband out-NEET the biggest NEET and still thought that she really couldn't have found anyone better, ever.

How do comic book writers come up with good ones? The secret identity name has to both be mundane to not sound to alien or weird but also be unique in there own way. I argue coming up with the name is harder than making the hero. How would you come up with one?

>>

Manlet Man doesn't have a good name.
The only real advantage to his name is that when idiot casual fan girls want to write non-slash Tony and other hero, it's a lot easier to name it Toni Stark or even Antonia Stark than some of the stupid names them come up with like Brucina Wayne or Clara Kent or Penny Parker

Who is the better Tulip?
Tulip or Lake?

>>
>>150207667
An unmarried FLOOZY.
>>
>>150207667
I know it's all subjective, but
with Tulip, while understandable because she doesn't have another MC like in the other books, her journey really making clear that the train is about fixing your problems and the way she tries so hard to reject it only makes her look bad preferring to be trapped rather than accept the divorce. Plus, the fact that it ends with her crossing wires to control something that's either magic or technology so advanced that it's like watching a Roman unlock the write protection on a Chromebook doesn't help.
Now, Lake's story is very simple. There are no consequences for the rest of the saga, which makes it dedicate itself entirely to the story, unlike books 3 and 4 being interrupted to bring Amelia. She's never safe, so you're constantly wondering when everything will go to hell, thus enjoying the calm moments. Fuck, even the world is consistent with the flecs focusing only on her, unlike book 4, having to force the bad guys to want to kill Ryan and Min too so they have stick to Kez instead of just abandoning her on the spot. Besides, even with God by her side, she's never safe, which justifies her more gray actions. Also, she and Jesse are the best duo on the show. Atticus never confronts Tulip, Grace is always in charge, and the constant fights between Ryan and Min end up being annoying.

Thanks for listening to my TEC talk. sorry for having made one, but it's been a while since I've been able to talk about the show. And remember, this is subjective.

The fact they were limited to 6 episodes and Karacas wanted to make things more like an animated sitcom showed they were probably already on limited staying power. Adult Swim's censors were increasingly limiting what they could/couldn't do as well, that's why "The Last Pack" was made so they could have an explanation why characters couldn't smoke anymore.
Anyone have copies of Quere's westaboo doujins from back in the day? She had a based style.

Kinda yes, but that doesn't mean that they couldn't write a continuation of the story (How long is Phinea's and Ferb's summer vacation already?) and it doesn't explain Nick's airing schedule.
But even one season with a good ending is better than a season with a cliffhanger.

I have some old comics that I like that aren't available in collected editions or sometimes an artist / writer got onto a book for only a handful of issues that I want but don't want the rest of the book. Besides that comic shops give out freebies, crowdfunders sometimes throw in some floppies of the book as a free bonus and some indie comics only come out as floppies. I have thankfully been able to keep myself away from buying any expensive floppies of buying loads of cheap ones from dollar bins so my collection in small.

I think the format itself is fine, maybe even great being so light and being able to fold the book out flat to see all the 2 page spreads. Most of them are far too short and they barely have a complete story in them to justify their existence unfortunately especially at the price of modern ones but I don't read much modern stuff. Also storage is just a pain, pulling them out of bags and boards instead of just pulling them off a shelf is a hassle if you want to read a few issues

The master of fire is Damien, Noah’s parents were Damien cultists
>>
>>150210029
no.
well- not "no they arent cultists" (because they still might be) but "no, Damien isnt the master of fire". The prophecy predates him, and note:
https://www.egscomics.com/comic/2004-03-03
>unite seyonolus
>being of power
>master of fire

damien was made by accelerationists to meet the criteria of the prophecy. but who IS ideally positioned to unite people, IS "ridiculously powerful" and HAS demonstrated objective mastery not of, but over fire?
grace

but regardless, the parents could be perfectly normal prophecy-following wierdos who have nothing to do with Damien.

Violence can work if it serves a purpose, like I love Primal having tons of absolute insane violence since it fits as a survival of the fittest setting and plus has breaks from it to focus on either the beautiful background or character moments
>>
>>150209235
Yes, let’s rape more men.

Comparing primal to kick-ass, the boys and invincible is like that pic of a nuclear bomb vs coughing baby. Is like night and day, and as an allegory is terrible.
>>
>>150209378
That's the reason I think invincible is stupid. Is just violence for the sake of it.
>>
>>150209764
Yeah but what was what first came to mind. Suppose HBO Spawn is another show that is quite violent and visceral with a pretty enduringly grim to bleak tone that works better as a comparison point.
