Not a bad idea, I wonder if I should do it before or after I expand the server.
The prudent approach would be before.
Thanks

That's what you should also have done for openbsd

I'm confused, did you just blindly follow some guides and then brag about the fact that you use openbsd on /g/?

One of the major point of net/open is that the system is small enough to be understood top to bottom to a reasonable extent

Hello Linux Questions folks

Chris has installed linux onto my computer and I do not like how it looks..I need it to look like my windows 7 I had before as this new setup is too confusing and unfamiliar....I liked the windows menu as I found it very convenient helpful and familiar. I miss the look the computer used to have with the bright colors and nice sounds ,as this one is too dark and depresses my mood.

I am also having troible finding my programs...I liked the programs I used and cannot figuee out how to get them back. I cannot ask Chris since he is too busy to come visit . Thank you to any kind folks who know how to help!

James.

James, computer issues aside you should have a talk with your grandson. Installing Linux means he might be a closetet homosexual if not worse. Linux is a virus ment to infiltrate computers of hard working common folks made by former soviet hacker Linyos Torovaltos.

go to gnome-look.org or other sites like cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com. Search for "Windows 7" or "Aero" themes for Cinnamon. These will change the window borders, buttons, and taskbar to look like Windows. There are free and usually better alternatives for most common Windows programs (LibreOffice for MS Office, Firefox/Brave for browsing, etc.).

If you need specific Windows software, you might be able to run it using Wine (a compatibility layer), but this can be complex for a beginner. Your grandson Chris really should have helped set this up. And I hate to tell you this, but he's almost certainly getting ass-blacked by gaynigger BBC. Sorry.

akihabara has had tourist adjusted prices for ages. for gpus you're better off going more out of the way and then just hunting in a hard off or something. for vidya/anime goods just go to nakano. its fun for window shopping though and you can have the best kebab in tokyo (moses).

That looks to me like "graphite pencil and gouache on watercolor paper", even if anon didn't prompt it like that.

If you want to try another traditional medium combination go with "colored pencils and copic markers on textured paper".

Spent $160 which seems like a lot for headphones, but I've given up on trying to repair HS60's and I those M50X's were only ever borrowed.

Hopefully they'll be good enough for audio production and that the bass won't be too off.

Looking for durable headphones for home gaming/music/surfing the web. Probably something I would wear the entire day. Wired. Don't even know if I should take open or closed back because at home it's relatively quiet all day round. I liked closed-back headphones, but I’ve had issues wearing them all day because my ears feel too hot and sealed and I want something breathable and comfortable that I can wear long sessions without it messing up my ears.
>Previous gear and your thoughts on it
ATH-M40x. Very nice, maybe the sound was too tight and closed. Last summer it was pain on my ears. One side of the speakers died so I was gonna buy these again if I don't have a sound advice on why I should pick something else (which I hope in).

I dont need endgame gear, and I dont play on doing any EQ tuning. I do have an audio interface that helps pump up the audio quality but im just going to use the headset for gaming, spotify and discord so im not such an audiophile, just a hpg visitor.

NAT is not something you configure in the BIOS. The firmware has no idea if it's behind NAT or something else entirely, all that it knows is that it sent a screenshot to ime.intel.com and got a 200 OK back.

Single-thread decoding speed is a useful metric for batch image processing, but this specific use case is a phone and a single image, making it quite contrived.
Even then, the test isn't even properly controlled. Two different methods of measurement are used.

it was the least annoying chromium browser for a good few years. it doesn't give me popups or bug about updates or demand sign-in like like chrome and edge do. Installing and configuring just takes like 30 seconds to turn off the BAT shit, and then it never appears again. also the mobile app blocks ads pretty decently and makes browsing websites actually palatable on a phone.

it's just an all-around good browser. it just werks.

Brave Mobile is actually the best browser, period. More so because every other mobile browser sucks ass than Brave being particularly good. Brave in general is just good out the box so it's a great secondary browser when you need one. I prefer Vivaldi though on desktop as my main browser.

I don't see a big intersection between the group of people who believe AI is as capable as corpo marketers claim and the group of people hating on AI. Maybe you mean normie wagies with replacement anxiety, but the thing is, even they don't believe "AI" would be doing their job well, they just think it won't matter in a system where quality is constantly sacrificed for cost savings.

Considering the premise is ludicrous, you have two options. Either:
1. Nobody reasonable is actually expecting AGI from current-architecture LLMs. They mean something else but journalists are tech illiterate and don't care anyway, they want a catchy headline, so they'll distort everything just to get more clicks. Or,
2. The claim is hype blown out of proportion by constant repetition and modification on social media, like Chinese whispers but dumber. You've heard of it specifically because it makes people go "whaaaaaat???"
I suppose it could be a bit of a mix of the two as well.
