Bonus points if it's a response that won't get me fired

Linux is starting to "just werk" more than windows. The OOB experience of windows is awful these days.
>>107847486My dac normally took days to setup in Windows, I had to find the driver from some shady website every time.Linux worked straight away, that's when I changed over.
>>107849838>Due to the boomers that ran the placenow imagine the same place with lunix
>>107847486I spent 3 days testing Linux distros on some shitbox PC someone brought to me, just to find one that worked. Debian wouldn't install power management utilities with xfce, multiple flavours of Ubuntu hung during install, mx worked but was too fucking lardy, bodhi and wattos had broken sound, antix refused to render the desktop, fyde refused to boot, kolibri requires you to build it just to try it, i really wanted loc to work as it ran the best but again sound didn't work. Finally lubuntu didn't hang during install and sound worked, I don't like it but I'm not getting paid to keep going. This is a fucking normal ass old Intel laptop and there's no excuse for this shitfest
>>107852212>mx worked but was too fucking lardyHow ancient is the e-waste you're using?

How important is it to put a good picture in your profile for Slack, Outlook, etc? Seems optional to do it at my company, but some people seem to have professional photos taken for it.

why are boomers allowed to regulate computers
>>107831645This is part of the plan. Demolish the intellectual capacity of the average person to convince the rest that we need top-down control.Top-down control is what has made people like this to begin with.

Zoomer here. I heard from my teacher today that phones used to have a slot like the sim card one where you could put in those digital camera memory sd cards in it. Why did no one complain when this happened?
>>107850755>Sony xperia>Shit phoneMaybe, idk. Its a pretty nice phone imo. Has sd car support and a headphone jack. Is as powerful as the other flagships. Looks cooler. Is ip68 rated.Sounds like youre retarted m8
>>107849114you underestimate how most people use their phones. when removable batteries were around, most people never changed them when they wore out, they just got a new phone. when sd card slots were around, most people never used them. if there was enough demand for these things then they'd still be available because the profit would outweigh the cost savings, but most people are not autistic tech dweebs

Besides the fact that its low powered and cute n tiny. Whats the advantage of buying a raspberry pi for $160 versus buying something like a used hp elitedesk g3 for less than $100? when dealing with table models in a gui context are they all index based? I find it inefficent that I need to delete something from my table like the row that contains a unique id but I need to first iterate the table rows until I find the row with that id.or if I need to insert something into the table i then need to shift everything downremovals, inserts, and locating is just inefficentsurely there's a better way?
>>107853648almost all of them yesmaybe work on some way of optimising the search instead
>>107853672there's creating a cache index id -> row index but you'd need to manually keep track of all changes made and this becomes complex and just a pain to maintain, and bloat too.
>>107853701ask for a standard implementation then? people aren't going to drop index based tables
>>107853648>in a gui contexteverything is inefficient.
