I'm done with this SPA madness.
This year my stack will be htmx+flask.
That's it.
Databases in SQLite, SQLModel for ORM, alpine if I ever need some JS in front (I won't), bootstrap for styling and pytest for TDD.

It's all CRUD anyway, the front should be the easy part.
>>
>>107989192
Flask in 2026 shouldn't even be considered, go with Django or FastAPI

Touhou project and probably some cool software, right? Windows didn’t run on it did it?
>>
>>107990795
That Wikipedia article says several PC-98 models shipped with Windows preinstalled. I had assumed that it was some non-PC-compatible system, but if it's running Windows it sounds pretty PC compatible, in which case it seems like just a PC with proprietary connectors.

Microsoft.
Japanese computer market was extremely fragmented and Microsoft was the first company that challenged it with MSX machines. Later they used this dominance to introsuce ppl to Windows.
Funfact - PC98 and Win95 are partially compatible.
>>
>>107990697
PC98 was a business machine that due to it's popularity ended in hands of doujin game developers and small companies. It was spreadsheet computer that could play games.

Don't buy anything other than IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad T, X, and W/P Series if you want the Real Business Experience™
Other business laptops are welcome in /tpg/ (Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook)

Why ThinkPad?
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap
>Utilitarian design: e.g. mix of old and new ports, stable keyboard layout
>Easy to repair, upgrade (some models) & maintain thanks to readily available service manuals, spare parts easy to obtain
>Usable in cramped quarters thanks to the TrackPoint
>Excellent Linux & *BSD support

I have an X13 Gen2 and I am fucking SICK of Windows 11 and MS general bullshit. I have never owned any Apply products but I am really tempted to buy a Macbook Air. Maybe I would just be satisfied with the same laptop with a different OS?

What Linux distribution should I install? I have Debian w/ LXQT on my desktop and I'm happy with it there. All my important files are in a single veracrypt container so it's easy to move between systems/installs.

>What Linux distribution should I install? I have Debian w/ LXQT on my desktop and I'm happy with it there.
Why change then? Debian w/LXQT would be great on your X13G2. If you want to get adventurous, try a different DE. KDE or Gnome would run fine, assuming you're not stuck with 8gb RAM (both would run, but it'd be tight). Or try a really light, minimal keyboard-centric tiling WM. Go with testing or Sid repos if you want newer packages. Only do Arch if you hate yourself and/or want to relearn a bunch of shit.

When it comes to the development and maintenance of free software, I share the same philosophy as my Southern ancestors.
Coons worked hard in the fields for my them, while they themselves enjoyed an easy life. Today, troons dedicate all their time to free software, which I use without paying a cent. This upsets a lot of people here.

Hello gang,

Would it be dumb of me to update from Win10LTSC to Win11LTSC? I tried it out briefly and I really enjoyed the aesthetic. And certain Microsoft Store apps want Win11.

Would I lose any fps or work my pc harder? I'm running a 5070 with a 7500x3d.

Anything that's broken? I'm also running pirated Adobe programs.
>>
>>107990935
Moving to different LTSC from an older LTSC is as easy as using an install ISO and in-place upgrading. Honestly you'd have easier times using new Adobe programs if you were in an 11 environment.
>>
>>107990951
>in-place upgrading
Where can I get that?

And also, what about the performance stuff? Will my temps get higher or will I drop FPS?
>>
>>107990960
With your parts being newer you should seemingly get better performance overall.
To in-place upgrade you download the IoT LTSC 2024 ISO from the massgrave repo, mount it, then run the setup.exe file. Go through the setup, unchecking the option to install updates, and go through it until you reach the "keep all my files and apps" checkbox and make sure it's checked.

Anon pretty much every distro builds the packages they provide from source anyway because most (all) distros ship binaries that are dynamically linked.

Yeah, an office job is kinda fine. You can look at alternative IT jobs, but they’re a fucking trap. Sure, they pay, but you’ll end up paying more money than you earn. This depends on the country, though. Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if the west eventually adopts this model too, with the rise of immigration
