What does /g/ think about generating 6 fake frames for every real frame?
Your GPU just needs to render at 9FPS for you to be able to get above a full playable 60FPS.

This is clearly targeted for >60hz displays. With traditional polygon+shader pipelines, there is no way we will ever see the dream of 1000hz without framegen.

Need advice for a new phone

I use it mainly for doom scrolling, videos, streaming music to car BT, taking a lot of pictures, hoarding media and occasionally I use it as a usb flash memory stick.

Hardware wise most important to me is good display, long battery life and good camera. Old phone has 3x optical and 10x digital zoom and even though those pictures are very low quality i find myself using it very often to see objects in the distance so Im really looking forward to a new phone with even larger zoom.

Software wise priority is consistent smooth performance, but not at cost of bare-bones OS. I love well thought out, built in features. Like good stock photo editor, scrolling screenshots, text from image with auto translate etc

I have narrowed it to these
>S25U
Ticks all the boxes. Im only shying away from it because I find it a bit too large for my taste and with those sharp corners it doesnt look comfortable to use for a long time. Also I dont care for stylus
>S25+
This is the obvious choice. It's just a bit bland and boring desu and since I use my phones for a long time Id hate to not go for the top tier model especially when it is less than 100 $ difference. It might be the most logical option because when novelty wears off in a month or so it wont matter if it's S25+ or U or whatever, right?
>OnePlus 15
I love a lot about this phone. Battery and charging speed, performance and short, smooth animations the design especially in matte black. Never owned OP so it would be nice to try it out. What puts me off is reviews I read and saw online talking about camera being worse than last years model (and even that one wasnt on par with apple, samsung, pixel of that time). The other thing is, the display, at least in videos, doesnt look as good as one on S25U/+

I work at a warehouse with robots that constantly get in my way
Like they don't give a shit and consider themselves more important than humans
They need to give them hearing
So if I yell at the fuckers to get out of my path, they react
Deaf robots are no good
But yeah its dystopian as fuck
The robot takeover is real, I have a front row seat
I will be unemployed and destitute soon

i'm not tech literate and that's fine ,i'm trying to learn but you all have to understand that :

-it's huge
-it's mathematical
-digging through each of abstraction layers is just an immense task if you want to understand things.

so you can blame us as much as we want but cs is real shit. When i used gparted for making my usb being bootable and mounting at the same time on the same usb(i'm happy that i have did that i have to try now if it works on other machines) i looked at all different files format....Imagine you have to know all of that and know what are the implications and the differences and blabla or like how are supposed to know what's the specific of this language ,why is slower than other ,what's a runtime ,what's a garbace collector ,how does it work?Hell i even wonder how did compiling a programm works why does lauching a command actually compile a program ? how does a language know itself so it can debug itself and compile itself like C and translate itself to assembly ? idk
it's just too much for retards like me BUT i have to endure,i have to learn or one day i won't be able to escap web 3.0 aka Dystopian web.

This is it. The end of personal computing, the end of gaming gpus.: No more rtx 6000, no more dedicated gpus, Nvidia will completely exit the consumer market. Told you that this was going to happen, one way or another. A single data enter dedicated to GAY-I brings more revenue than 100.000 individual consumers who buy GAYMER cards. Better scoop up a top of the line gpu now, while stocks last. There won't be any new cards coming, and yeah that applies to rtx 5000 super too.

There was pretty much no reason for it to not be the best in the series besides bethesda dumbing it down for mass appeal, like the entire industry, which is why you have to turn to old games or community driven projects, which luckily are the best they've ever been. Outside of that I can't sit down and tolerate any of this shit for more than 5 minutes before I just wanna go outside, it's all quite literally made for complete idiots which is why most games dont even feel like actual games anymore. Even when something good comes out it gets cannibalized by predatory publishers who see it as negative competition. It's fucking brutal

I don't trust anything or anyone, not even myself, this is why I write tests and let other people shit talk my code so I can improve it.
I don't care if it's a blackbox as long as the output is correct.
I'm not using it to run a country or a business but to speedup the mundane tasks in my swe life so it does not really matter how it works as long as it works.
>>
>>107781927
It's not a black box, you can look inside and see exactly what the model is doing and what the weights are and inspect every layer with your data and make changes.
The word you want is uninterpretable. You can look all you want, but it's a big blob of numbers and even with explainability tools and techniques you'll never be able to fully make sense of what the model is doing.

The manufacturers have been forcing GPU prices down while RAM prices have been increasing. You can get a 5070 for less than $500, walk into a Best Buy and purchase a new 5070 Ti for $750, get the 5080 for $999 or the 5090 for $1999 from NVIDIA, and AMDs 9070XT keeps popping up for under $600. Stock fluctuates a lot, no idea how long this will all last, but GPU prices aren't terrible right now.

this.
eclipse/jetbrain require that some of the dependencies you use have special programs that plug into the IDE's backend to get basic lints (e.g lombok). you can write 100% valid java code that won't get lints/completions at all if you don't write a per-ide package for it.

visual studio is dogshit if you're not writing msvc's c/c++. it only recently started supporting cmake, by translating your cmakelists to a proprietary build system which is not 100% compatible, so some features will bar you from using your build system entirely.
qtcreator has similar issues, though qt acts more as a framework, so qmake makes more sense.

clion now supports compile_commands because it relies on clangd/ccls to provide lints/completions. at this point it's barely any better than using an editor + lsp setup.
rover has it's own problems too because rust-analyzer isn't 100% compatible with the up-to-date rust specs (especially the bleeding edge stuff like proc_macro_spans). you're often forced to make a custom version of your code to tell the lang server how to behave (e.g #[cfg(not(rust_analyzer))])

using the langserver approach has it's own problems too. for c/c++ the goto servers are clangd and ccls, but they don't support gnuc and it's really complicated to tell them that you're using glibc and not clang's libc. the specs are also terrible, they force all communications to use UTF-16 for positions inside the text buffer, which nobody in the world (expects microsoft) uses anymore. overall, I think langserver is the least worse approach. because even gnu make can generate a compliant index for clangd and it gets the same lints/completion/actions across multiple editors, so that reduces the vendor lock in.
>>
>>107783172
>performant
it's really not.
you can barely open sqlite's source file in it. when you start editing, there's a 50-200ms delay between every key strokes. it also hogs resources like crazy. it's 500+MB while doing nothing, then you can add anywhere between 1-10GB when using a language extension like intellisense or rust-analyzer

ITT I'll like to do an honest discussion about Linux and its use (or lack of) by normalfags. Why they don't like it, avoid it or simply don't know about it. Feel free to share your personal experiences with friends, relatives or just your general thoughts on the topic.

Some of the main arguments I see from normalfags as reasons to not use Linux usually are (but not limited to)
>having to use the terminal for everything
>you have to do lots of tinkering
>it breaks often
>software availabity

However, some of these are either misconceptions or plain wrong, which to me is confusing because I don't understand where they come from. It's not like every single normalfag used Linux at some point long enough to form these opinions, most of them didn't even know what it was until Windows 10 reached EOL, so where does those arguments come from? tech youtubers? reddit?

>>

adobe suite works extremely well in wine. the only softwares that don't really work in wine are for real time audio production where wine adds undesired latency, even though a pure jack implementation would have lower latency than using windows' audio stack

I have 3 very good examples

1.
>normalfag complains about windows
>"hey, you could use linux"
>"muh windows just works"
or
>"I wouldnt know how it works/it would take too mich time"

2.
>normalfag tries linux
>something doesnt work like it did on windows (ex. package management), and recommended distro to normalfag (always fucking ubuntu in this case) makes no effort to account for possible normalfag (ex. You couldnt install .debs in ubuntu by double-clicking them)
>normalfag does no further effort, complaints about x not working and does back to windows
