It's not really my thing, I don't spend my days arguing about religion online, despite what that post might seem to imply. I do have a few of them saved, but they're in the single digits.

No. I think baby boomers, collectively, as a generation, decided the world should end by 2050, when they'll mostly all be gone. Their choices of selfishness, and not thinking of their children, and their children's children, are going to set us all back in a horrible way. You're better off trying to 900x your money on crypto, sports betting, or actual slot machines, so you can maybe pave your way to financial independence, than to aim for a steady job that risks getting devalued with the dollar, or replaced with AI, or a jeet your boomer boss can save $5 an hour taking in.
>>

this, so much this, fucking boomers shat in my pants today

It's gonna get much worse for the next 2-3 decades and then start recovering in the late parts of the century, though it depends a lot on what country we are talking about.
In the case of the usa specifically it is almost the opposite. Things are going to stay around the same for a decade more, then briefly improve a bit and finally fall off a cliff towards the end of the century when the absolute god awful state of the education system starts majorly eroding away the competitiveness of the country.
The USA primary and secondary educations have been slowly becoming africa-tier since the mid 2010s and historically a sharp decline in education quality is almost always followed by the country shitting the bed 30-40 years later.
>>
No. If you look back at all human history, thousands and thousands of years, you can see that the majority of humans always had horrible lives. What makes you think that this is going to change?

Never, all the crap tech CEOs should be getting negative bonuses along with all their management.

Somehow failing an entire company that was built to last deserves these shitheads raises.

Negative bonuses.

No risk, no reward. Filthy shithead inheritors.

HAHAHAHA

Systematic failure for being leeches.

I've been yelling at these fucking fools for a year, they're all keeping quiet and collecting their overinflated paychecks.

Fucking fire everybody who isn't speaking first.
Fire everybody who hired them and didn't fire them.
Negative bonuses for the CEOs until fat is vehemently cut out.

No pay. They didn't hire a single person they needed to because of their overinflated ego. Negative bonuses cut into their wages.

n is how many times the function is applied to x. If f is applied 0 times, x is the output. If f is applied 1 time, f x is the value of produced. If f is applied 2 times, f (f x). Church numerals just encode repetition.
>>
>>107787420
x is a variable, could be anything, it's "not your problem". it's a box.

Imagine you're an assembly line worker. Boxes come in one line, your job is to pick them up and push them out on the other line. What's in the Boxes? Who gives a shit, do your job.

job: (box) -> (box)
this is your job description: you take a box, you output a box. This is the "identity job".
λ(box).(box)
still the same description, just some fewer symbols
but, says the (asshole) mathematician, I can describe it with even fewer symbols! (idk why, probably had to pay for every letter or something)
λx.x
Ah, there we go
still your same (shitty) job description, still the same job.
You take in the box, you put out the box.
Listen to some podcasts in the meanwhile.
>>
>>107787420
The image is just recursion without a base case.
In practice, you'd have a predicate which passes either f or a base case to f(x). If it passes f, then that's simply more recursion. Otherwise, the recursion stops.

Soon?

v2.0.0 - Rename to Jellyfin Desktop / Upgrade to Qt 6 Pre-release
This version sees a name change to Jellyfin Desktop, an upgrade to Qt 6, and a whole slew of other enhancements and fixes. Proper builds for Windows, macOS, and many Linux distributions are still in progress, but you can grab it now from Arch Linux AUR and Flathub (very soon). Changes:

Rename to Jellyfin Desktop
Upgrade to Qt 6
Add MpvQt library dependency
Change configuration paths (settings from Jellyfin Media Player will NOT be migrated):
Linux: ~/.local/share/jellyfin-desktop
macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Jellyfin Desktop

>/g/ makes a 19th album

>Song submission rules/guidelines
Upload the file somewhere, preferably in a lossless format, and post the link here. If you want to update your track, make a new post.
Include the song title in the post, and make it clear that your song is a submission for the album.
Optionally you may include cover art for your track, but please confirm that the image in your post is the cover art or it won't be included. You may not use your real artist name.
Songs that contain anything against YouTube's policies won't be uploaded on YT, but will still be added to the album.
By default, tracks will be normalised to -14 LUFS (integrated loudness) in the release. You may specify a lower loudness for your track.
Use of AI is banned. This includes AI generated stems, samples, and effects. "AI" includes all neural network-based models and not hard-coded automation/procedural generation. You are allowed to ask an LLM about music-related questions, but asking it to give you musical ideas (eg. generating a chord progression) is already a no-no.
