I had a 1PN58 before they got real expensive. It worked well enough for gen 1 nv but the reticle led was burnt out and getting a replacement is basically impossible.

The brace is decent, feels solid, bit of a pain to attach imo and very difficult to fold but comes with a QD mount which is nice. I actually have the other 1913 standard triangle brace on my M85 and prefer that(although it is harder to mount a sling to it)
If you like the aesthetic of the brace go for it

Over the past century, technological changes have come about which would actually make the Ratte a viable platform.
>miniaturization of nuclear reactors
>miniaturization of nuclear warheads
>lasers for defense against drones and missiles
>improvements to computers for fire control
There is no better time than now to build the Ratte.

Russia has for the first time deployed new strike drones, the 'Geran-5' and 'Geran-4'.
>Russian forces first used the new strike drone 'Geran-5' during attacks on Ukraine in early 2026, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry. The drone is a large jet-powered UAV with a classic aerodynamic design, differing from earlier models.
>The 'Geran-5' has a length of about 6 meters and a wingspan of about 5.5 meters. It is equipped with a Chinese-made turbojet engine, capable of carrying a warhead weighing about 90 kg and hitting targets at a distance of up to 1,000–1,050 km. Its navigation system includes a 12-channel 'Comet' satellite system, a microcomputer-based tracker, and 3G/4G modems.
>According to Ukrainian intelligence, the design of the 'Geran-5' contains elements similar to the Iranian drone Karrar. There are discussions about the possibility of launching this UAV from aircraft, such as the Su-25, and its potential equipping with 'air-to-air' missiles.
>As for the 'Geran-4', it is known that it is an intermediate jet version between the early 'Geran' models and the new 'five'. According to preliminary data, this drone may have a warhead weighing about 50 kg, a speed of 350–500 km/h, a range of up to 950 km, and can also be launched from the Su-25.
>Thus, the 'Geran-5' is a new jet-powered long-range strike UAV, comparable in its characteristics to a cruise missile, while the 'Geran-4' is considered its less powerful predecessor

>Is the new gen good at anything? it's just a downgrade in both the recoil spring and now the extractor.
Are you talking about sig or glock? The gen 6 glock's recoil spring is just a return to the gen 3 one which is proven. The extractor change was necessitated by the changes to the MOS system. While concerning because new, we don't know yet if its an actual downgrade.
>>64747331
The sig long extractor change was necessitated by switching to MIM because they are cheaping out on legacy models while selling them at a premium.

I'm usually shooting rifle but I've been recently discovering that shooting pistol is a lot of fun, too. It all began with me buying a LOK grip because i've read that it makes for a very different shooting feel, and now that made it just ever so slightly more comfy, and suddenly I find myself training mainly for pistol.

Anywho, I'm really considering putting some extra love into my 92 fs, and I really would want to get a LTT Trigger Job In a Bag, but it's kinda hefty of a price tag (will cost me about ~300$ after import feefees and taxes and shit like that), plus it's sold out and idk when it will be in stock.

Any alternatives? All i can read is that the TJIAB is the greatest thing since sliced bread so I kinda would wait, but idk how long i have to wait for it to be back in stock, plus I could just buy a Wilson Combat Deluxe Spring kit for 50$ish but idk how much "worse" that would end up be compared to the LTT.

Anyone has any pointers or takes regarding this? I'm mainly a competitive shooter (can't carry here sadly), so I'm kinda optimizing for that.
>>
>>64748433
The Wilson deluxe spring kit is like 30% of what the LTT job does.

The alternative is
>buy the LTT trigger bar and 13/14 hammer spring separately, this is like 70% of the trigger job. Maybe buy a match hammer too.
>or buy Beretta 92 Xtreme S trigger group from beretta, it’s their version of the LTT trigger group and is 80-85 percent as good

The current leader of the Rusih group posted videos on his social media pages showing him torturing puppies to death and eating them raw to show how "hard" he was.
That's not even a joke. Some lovely fella allegedly committed some seriously horrendous crimes against humanity in Syria, raping and torturing random women and children to death, etc, for no reason other than that he could.

>Large carnivores were distributed uniformly across the globe? Is this true? I don’t know why, but I always had the impression that India and especially subsaharan Africa got really unlucky with their local megafauna, and those further north got lucky with much more favorable conditions vis a vis being eaten. Though I guess it could just be that Europeans hunted the carnivores to extinction.

Carnivorous megafauna in the northern Eurasia and North America died out because the entire ecosystem collapsed with the end of the Ice Age while the climate in Africa and India is more or less similar as it was in the Pleistocene. Europe and America had massive carnivorous hyenas, lions, saber toothed cats, dire wolves, cave bears, lions and leopards and for the most part their entire ecosystem depended on mammoths generating mammoth steppe by preventing forests from growing.

When humans/climate change killed off the mammoths the environment changed completely, the other herbivores that evolved to live in steppe environments died out and all the hyperspecialized predatory megafauna that ate them lost out to more generalist carnivores like modern wolves, bears and mustelids. It's also easier to find food in the winter time in tropical climates so they were less reliant on hunting megafauna to survive year round which is why you still have elephants, rhinos and huge ungulates etc in Africa or India but they were hunted to extinction in Eurasia and America

That gun is nowhere near collector desirable condition.
>>
>>64748517
Based on the photos, it would rate as a very strong NRA "Fine", arguably "Excellent" based on the pristine wood and the high degree of original finish. I would have to see it in person to grade it accurately. Most collectors would be pleased to have this weapon, especially as it is a less common 16ga. The main detractor is the large bark on the side of the frame, but otherwise this is a very nice weapon.
>>
>>64748551
pump handle looks refinished, screw slots look bubbaed, the wrist is almost certainly broken which is why it's been wrapped with string. It's not junk, I bet it's a fine shooter, but it's not some high grade piece that collectors would drool over.

You can make a legitimately decent barrel by ECM rifling a good piece of steel tube, then cutting a chamber in it.
You can 3D print a jig which will make it VERY easy to make consistent rifling, I believe that's the preferred method they use in Khyber Pass these days, and those guys have benefited a lot from the 3D printing revolution.
https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2020/02/18/rifling-barrel-electrochemical-machining/

It's not gonna be like, super mega match grade or anything, but it's not gonna be last ditch tier either, it'd work and hold up as a passable commercial grade barrel.
>>
>>64747841
SV06 is more than enough for basically anything. The only thing you don't have is an enclosure and filament runout sensor.

Ivan developing the DIY ECM rifling process is probably why the German glowies murdered him btw.

Is that a fucking pistol real sight in the red dot cut out? Is PSA inventing a shotgun that can't be used as a shotgun because it has pistol sights for some reason?
the receiver is objectively the worst place to mount a red dot on a shotgun. the best option would be if you could get it low profile on the barrel or as a qd on a side rail like an AK, though the barrel, especially if you can get the bottom of the red dot below the receiver would be great because then you could have a red dot mounted for HD or turkey or if you're in one of the like 3 states that still require slug guns for durr and then you can take off the barrel, the red dot remains zeroed and you can put on a different barrel for birds or clays
I really don't understand this psa 570 thing. it looks like they just designed a gun to compete with turkshit and the mav 88 to be a ghetto blaster for blowing up trash on blm land
