It's that time of year /K/ommandos! Were we reminisce the years that have past and look forward to the new one that is now unfolding! And that includes thinking up of goals for ourselves to achieve this year! You have been thinking of how to become a better /K/ommando right anon?Anyway, I haven't seen one of these threads in a few years, so lets get one going. How do you rank against your fellow /k/omrades?Bonus points if you can add stories about your achievements. Also maybe its time to update the board? Add a few more,
>>64745441I started this thread before heading out on a hike! Nice little 5 mile treck with an old army ruck sack. Cooked some food, saw some pretty sights, sadly too many hikers for any plinking. Here's my s/k/ore, sadly still part of the /k/avalry.....>>64745472It still applies, thats still a possible thing (in the US at least). I do think it'd be nice to have a version 2, especially with some stuff that could be considered /k/ post COVID, I feel thats kinda when /k/s cultural shift finalized itself.>>64745618Impressive for a /k/raut!
>>64745441What..... what do the red and green mean?
>>64745359Does full /k/it mean a historically accurate surplus recreation of a certain country’s loadout or just a kit made from surplus in general?
>>64747278Honestly, both. This was made when /k/ was even more poorfaggy, and mismatched milsurp will fit with a rugged aesthetic so I would say go for it.
>>64745359140, started this year, expecting to get a higher number by next year.

I also shoot it the same or better as my non-HD, despite the trigger not being quite as good.>>64746213Mine ran from factory FWIW. >>64747306>...What's wrong with that?Everyone uses the fucking wiki and online maps anyways. So the whole argument of "THIS IS A MANLY GAME FOR MANLY MEN! NO MAPS ALLOWED!" doesn't work. Just add the fucking maps into the game you retard.
>>64747536>>64747543There are maps in the game though.
>>64745202How so? It made AK parts all overpriced, but zenitco shit was already expensive and if youre not into AKs you literally would never have noticed. Tarkov certainly didnt invent mallninja shit, though it does cater to it in ways no other game has.
>>64747554No, not even close to CoD. Most normies don’t even know what Tarkov is
>>64747574Idk what youre trying to say. I wasnt suggesting tarkov was more popular than cod, but if youre the type of person who wants to get lost in the sauce of mounting 5 flashlights to your rifle then theres really no substitute.
Is it normal for a bit of lead to shave off when pressing the bullets in?Also I accidentally seated one bullet about 3mm too deep but these are mostly empty powderpuff 44 loads so that’s not dangerous, right?
>>64747215I resized them with the Lee 44 Sp die The resizing was the least confusing step desuThe part that gets me is I used HP-38 at the target load level and like more than half the case is empty>>64747197Yeah I think I didn’t flare them enoughThis was my first try at reloading ever and the bullets sat in so I thought good enoughI’ll do more next timeAlso thanks Chad
>>64747258With faster burning powders like HP-38 in a pistol case, a very small portion of the case will be filled. A load of Bullseye makes a .44 Magnum case look absolutely cavernous.
>>64747258Nice bulldog, anon
>>64747292It’s wierd as hell knowing the case is mostly empty and everything is flopping around Is the set back bullet going to be dangerous?I have no bullet puller and my multi tool can’t pull it back >>64747313Ty frien
Im having similar issues with 45 acp, gallant bullets. Theyre polymer coated, for whatever reason, and with a bit wider and a bit deeper they wont go into battery in my 1911A1.Reloads with FMJ to factory spec are fine, so are factory loads. I suspect its that tiny bit of polymer sticking to the case after pressing/crimping them into place

>>64745328Russians have updated Geran - its a speedy boi intended to escape the small intercepts and get ahead of mobile ground based AAA. Needs a rocket launch boost. Turbojet is also expensive. Got a bit of range in the tradeoffs.
The fact that a president of a state could be kidnapped by SOF, doesn't it mean that nuclear war could be "won" against a nuclear power? Just send SOF, kidnap their president alongside his "nuclear football". Point a gun in the head of his wife and kids so he gives up the nuclear codes. Then proceed to nuke each airbase of that country and naval bases with nuclear bombers and SSBNs and the major cities of that country. This leaves only the patrolling SSBNs for launching a counter strike. But still, this "simple" specops mission would have transformed a massive, unmanageable nuclear exchange into a limited engagement that modern Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) might actually be able to manage and thus win the nuclear war.t. Tom Clancy's ghost
>>64742786>commander of burpleson air force baseHuh. So it is. I always thought it was a UK based air wing.
>>64719453Yeah
>>64719453I kinda doubt there's a SIOP for nuking our own bases. So, having the football, the President, and a general with nuclear authority (somebody has to authenticate that it's actually the NCA reading the codes by reading their own codes) probably isn't enough.

Could plastic garbage from the ocean be used for 3D printers for printing guns like FGC-9?
>>64624726That’s PETG and a mix of HDPE won’t be all that great The plastic used in 3d printers is a byproduct of food waste anyway like the yogurt run off and high fructose corn syrup
>>64624726You can use bacterial readily available to break the plastic down and turn it into nuclear missles.
>>64624726I thought bacteria has already evolved and is slowly eating away at the plastic trash island in the ocean
>>64740970>>64743919Bacteria that break down plastic are pretty rare. No reason they cant evolve, its still a form of hydrocarbon so there is useable energy in it. But they would be extremophiles. Thing is, if they ever evolve and propagate at scale, plastic starts to lose its primary use of being a hard material that doesnt decay (other than from UV). If plastic just decays because badteria eat it, then at that point wood and metal would be more useful.
>>64626753The boring answers are always:>Could you do this?technically yes>Is it cost effective?FUCK NO

>>64746722The politicians don't want a strong military because a strong military leads to a military junta. They only pay them enough to contain terrorists in Mindanao and NPA bandits in provinces but not enough to overthrow civilian rule much less kill 10,000 Chinamen a day.The AFP on the other hand realized that coups make them turbonigger tier and prefer to stay professional and as Westernized as they can be but its hard when general promotions are all handled by these same corrupt politicians.
>>64742226you need to go back to r*ddit
>>64746896>The generals, those inveterate window-shoppers, might as well be politicians themselves.Flips have a habit of copying the worst traits of any American system, and that's true for their officer corps: ie. chock full of ass-kissing, ticket-punching martinets who would rather spend all their career jockeying for the most lucrative retirement than being actual warriors and leaders. They would honestly need a hot, HOT war with China to drain both the political and military swamp.

I am about to import 80,500 of these indian hesbee 22 short single shot handguns. They are currently in transit being shipped from India. They have sat in storage as they were built in 1959 as gunlaws became more restricted in India. If you were in my shoes, how do I make this business venture successful. I purchased each pistol at 2160 rupees (around 24$) and they cost me ($1500 for import and $5000 in shipping) so i am in for abit under $2mil. Do you think people will actually buy these or should I put my house for sale ASAP?
>>64747488What are the chances this shit just blows up in your hand when you fire it?
>>64747368>market it to pajeets in the USPut a Star of David on the slide and name your company "Israeli Military Armaments" or something legally distinct from IWI. You'll capture the jeet market, the boomer market, and the Jew market
>>64747497I doubt it will even fire, but if it does, fairly low chance it'll blow up since it's just a fucking .22 Short single shot. You could probably shoot one of those out of a fountain pen.>>64742605Double action trigger because you're going to need to drop the hammer on the round like 4 times before the round actually goes off

>>64737315>>64733848I always wanted to try this but the janky thing always kept me away, like how do you fuck up the controls in a tbs game?
I'm a little into Beyond Citadel and it's fun. >gory sci-fi animu aestetic>dev is a Marathon fan>splits reloading into 3 buttons (insert ammo/magazine, cock/pump if you're not using an auto/semi-auto, unload magazine if it has one)>balanced for lean>gives you a riot shield>sometimes a dying enemy will pull out a pistol after falling down and try to take a last shot at you>guns can jam and you need to clear them if they do>thigh highs
>>64747289they can also pull out grenades when they're woundedprob my goty for 2025 honestly, supports different playstyles and the world has a cool feeling despite (sometimes because of) the sparse art and it feels very baroque influenced too.
>>64747297The fact that I can play super cautious taking shots and tossing grenades around cover OR just slide and air dash into point-blank with a shotgun and magnum is great. I just finished act 3 and that first level in the water world with all the dead angels was honestly kinda beautiful.
