The picture is terrible but you get the idea. Why aren't there any beefier versions of this to sue as a snap caps or dummy round? It would make dry fire practice a lot more entertaining.

That stuff doesn't work in a mold. It takes fucking forever to dry and it shrinks as it does so. You could cast 2-part silicone or urethane though. Or just use earplugs. that's a lot cheaper and a lot less work.

After looking around I found more of the wax + primer varieties. These guys make special casings where you can just drop in the primer, and they sell the wax projectiles in bulk https://gunslingeremporium.com/wax-bullets-shells-accessories/

Howeer, not really what I'm after. Was hoping to find something that uses spring tension inside the case and the firing pin striking the "primer" would cause it to release the spring. I have a 3d printer so I might just try designing something myself.
>>
>>65034149
just make it completly hollow and use the force of the firing pin hitting it to launch your projectile.you can launch pencils into the ceiling with a normal gun.

I like this idea, but I'm a little worried about it not absorbing enough of the force to do it's job as a dummy round/snap cap on a revolver. Was originally figuring there would be some seer inside that a nubbin would get smacked into to bend the seer otu of the way and release the spring. Just using the existing energy from the hammer spring probably makes more sense becuase it's probably stronger spring then what would be in the round anyways....

Here is what I came up with using your idea. The orange piece is shown upside down, the nubbin on the top would go through the bottom cutout and be where the primer would be. Not shown here is some extra material I will add inside the case to act as a retension for the orange dumbell shaped object (it's that shape so I can make it retained, and I will have it print in place inside of the casing.

It will have just enough movement to transfer the energy to the wedged in projectile.

After a year long absence, the journey of the Busta Move(s) and her intrepid crew continues! Previous installments: https://desuarchive.org/k/search/subject/Target%20for%20Today/

>what the fuck is this
Target for Today is a solitaire tabletop game (translated to digital for these threads) covering the USAAF's bombing campaigns in Europe throughout the Second World War. With options for choosing everything from which Air Force, Bombardment Wing and Squadron you fly with all the way to which submodel of aircraft you'll be flying, the game is rife with detail. Over a year ago we began the journey of the Busta Move, a B-24 of the 15th Air Force (49th Bomb Wing, 451st Bomb Group, 725th Squadron). While perilous, our crew has done far better than the ill-fated men of the B-17s that shared the Big Nigger titles, with our current permanent losses consisting of:
>Copilot Harris
>Radio Operators Sean Bean and Poncho
>Waist gunners Fanculo, Danielson and Sam Hyde, with another (Lefty Navel) being medically discharged
Our bombing results, however, have been much less impressive: out of eleven combat missions the Busta Move has been forced to abort due to combat damage six times, and on a mission to soften up Anzio for Allied landings we missed the target entirely. Our 10th mission, Milan, was another abort but the flight back was a nightmare. By the time the Busta Move returned to base, she had lost two engines, both main landing gear, all of the twin .50 cals had been rendered inoperable, the entire oxygen system had failed, one wing was barely attached, half the crew was wounded and dozens of other minor hits had been taken. That plane was retired and the Busta Move II was put into action, already having completed one mission.

For now, strap your parachutes on, grab a K-ration and lets go bomb vaguely near strategic targets!

We break off from the rest of the squadron, turning for home. We retain good fighter escorts, which quickly moves vital. A set of Germans picks us out as a juicy target, but the escorts keep all but one of them off of us. A flurry of gunfire convinces him that even this lone bomber is more trouble than it's worth and we're onto zone 2!

Zone two suffers us no German fighters, and our flight back to base is uneventful. We pull off the runway, get Fook some band-aids for his boo-boo and see about getting ourselves a new bombsight. Waiting for the rest of our squadron to return, we happily note that no planes are missing from the formation, although a couple appear to have suffered some damage. Those two are Cash and Carry, which took a series of hits about the time we turned around, and Bunk Buster, damaged on the return flight.

Regrettably, despite no flak cloud cover mostly obscured the target and our squadron's second attempt on Piombino was no more successful than the first.
>Cash and Carry: 2 damage
>Bunk Buster: 2 damage

/frtssg/ - Forced Reset Trigger & Super Safety General

Previous:>>64899646

What are FRTs:
Forced Reset Triggers (FRTs) are firearm modifications that allow semi-automatic rifles to fire more rapidly by automatically resetting the trigger after each shot, while still requiring a trigger pull for each round. They increase the rate of fire without converting the firearm into a fully automatic weapon.

AR-15 is the most ubiquitous platform with the most amount of options. Other platforms have other nuances.

>there is one end all be all answer for when full auto should be used
its extremely dependent on the gun used, the recoil, the firing rate, how much it weighs/its stability, etc.
you can absolutely do precision shooting on full auto but it needs certain requirements
like an ar15 isnt as good in full auto for accuracy as an mp5 or a suomi, nor will it be as accurate as a pkm or an mg3
and a 650 rpm ar15 will perform better than a 750 rpm ar15

only the 590A1 is all metal. the regular 590 has a plastic safety and plastic trigger group/guard.

honestly with the metric shitload of variants Mossberg now offers across the 500 and 590 models, you really just need to look at the specific gun/model/package and pick the set of features you want.
