why was the IDF so consistently successful compared to any first world army.

I'm not a military expert, but the bits that I recall1. lots of WW2 veterans were alive during the formation of the state and those early successful wars2. even though US didn't start supporting the state until much later, they still got early support and vehicles from France or something IIRC3. most wars israel was winning through air superiority, it's the air force that was great, not the army, which was and is of average western quality4. "average western quality" was still miles ahead of any state that surrounded israel even with tons of latest at the time soviet equipment
Because they are God's chosen people.

Why does everyone here disregard history and precedent when proposing their totally-novel solution of just sending some new flavor of vigilante gasser-flamethrower deathsquad of not-confederates here?Just shut up already. Whatever new horror of botched repression you have in mind only seems right because you think the problem is just people not being scared enough. Not the case. God, you're the worst kind of pussy.
>>64736464> Not the caseSo enlighten me. What is the case? They don’t couple well, their economic niche is gibs and theft and so they have to be forced into a higher energy state. Sure, they’ll be more uncomfortable there, but Atleast their behavior will not be destructive. Do you propose the culprit is some newspeak nonsense like generational trauma? Is the solution just to rob and kill white people?
>>64736530>So enlighten me. What is the case?Post-slavery, Southerners wanted free labor, but they couldn't use slaves "except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted", so they weaponized the law. Renting out labor afterwards drove their economy. This became a full industry, driving migration northward.Later, the state saw the Civil Rights leaders maintaining multiple interconnected militias across the populated parts of the country large enough to challenge it, then linking with poor whites, questioning capitalism, and flirting with black internationalism. Massively spooked, so it spread drugs around and criminalized them to erode power via mass incarceration. Kids and adults alike were taken, and the women were manipulated to produce and gut bastards on the largest scale the world had ever seen. The armed groups were maligned, infiltrated, set against each other, and used to burn manpower. Meanwhile, taxpayer funding mechanisms intentionally isolated majority-black neighborhoods, and the private sector offered few real opportunities. Lobbyists worked to maintain the prison pipeline, even after the manpower and energy of the population had burned out. In the absence of a legitimate state and court, law became a private luxury, and each time an alternative appeared, the state was required to stomp it out so as not to feed a separatist movement. DAs are trying to change opinions with lenient applications now. They hope the fish will bite now and play their game instead of supporting organizations the state can't tolerate.>They don’t couple well, their blah blahDo subhumans like you ever have an original thought? KYS."Muh neo-kkk" won't solve the problem. It only reinforces the illegitimacy of the state and makes people pray for gangsters to rise up and protect them because they remember a time when they could and don't understand why they can't anymore. Why does everyone hate black rifle coffee company?
>>64736532just seems gay
>>64736532>Why does everyone hate black rifle coffee company?Partly because they are blatant grifters and partly because they pay money to anti-gun politicians
Why wouldn't something like pic related work fine as a "do everything" gun for a person living in the densely forested hills of Appalachia, where the power and ballistic advantage of a rifle simply isn't necessary?>plinking will be good fun with the naturally subsonic .45>definitely suitable for home defense>easy enough to fit in a backpack, or take the can off and carry it on your person>get some .45 Super for killing deer or hogs, or mess around with round ball loadings for taking small game or for pest controlYes, it's true that rifles can be had for dirt cheap these days. And it's also true that there is no real reason to limit yourself to just one gun, especially a handgun. But in an autistic min-max fantasy where you literally can only own one gun and it has to be able to be carried 24/7/365, does a suppressed .45 automatic make sense? The only real downside I see here is that this is not the best option for summertime concealed carry in hot climates.

Weight has no bearing in this context since FMJ since both get plenty of penetration for the scenario described by OP. >muh gelI didn’t bring up gel tests. You did. Go ahead and try to show real world wound channels between 230gr .45 FMJ and 147gr (or even 115 or 124) 9mm FMJ where they have similar shot placement in similar tissue (people, animals, whatever). We’re giving you shit because you’re acting like .45 is special for being “naturally subsonic”. Our counter arguments are so are many other calibers that are just as easy or easier to get. If you want to argue .45>9mm, ok. But that’s a different thread completely.

That’s 221 fireball. And if you really wanted you can widen the case head, since there’s still room for a wider case without affecting grip comfort. 7.62x39 can be duplicated (with 110gr bullets) double stacked and fed through the grip. 5.7x28 and 4.6x30mm are nowhere near the limit of what is possible with mag-in-grip guns,But yes, 5.56 MARS would go hard as fuck in an mp7. What do you think about the MRCV concept? It's apparently a "frigate"Singapore built and has launched the hull of class leader RSS Victory. It's 8400 tonnes. About as much as a burke.
>>64736517Given Singapore's defense budget for 2025 is about 30% that of Japan's, they could absolutely scale up and get 15 destroyers and 1 carrier. But they refuse and got these meme floating drone carriers.
>>64736505Yeah it's adapted from a preexisting hull with already proven cap, so it's faster to develop. It's not like they're adapting it from the ground up with new capabilities. All power to the USN etc but we don't have the money nor the industrial capability to build new testbed platforms, we have to adapt euro ones.As said, it's not a VLS platform. It's a unmanned mothership vessel, intended to also have frigate capabilities (it matches the previous la fayette equivs).>>64736506>>64736560Singapore's navy also fulfils most country's coast guard duties, so it's also intended for peacetime and policing roles into the Andaman and the SCS. Also, there is no point in having a carrier and 15 destroyers when the island is surrounded by other countries' territorial waters and there is no manpower to fill them (country is ~4mil citizens).
>>64736560Singapore could have been the Venetian empire of modern times and get themselves a crap ton of destroyers and carriers but instead they are investing in IFVs. It's sad stuff honestly. They would have been a real credible deterrence against China but instead are confined to the strait due to them refusing to invest in a blue water capable navy.
>>64736574>there is no manpower to fill them (country is ~4mil citizens).Venice had 3.3k ships each with each war galley having 200 men. Their population was fewer than 200k. You telling me you can't crew 15 destroyers with a population of 4 million? Fuck off
>>64736590Of those 3.3k ships a good 200 of them were war galleys. Singapore absolutely could crew enough destroyers to contest the south china sea.

>>64733517unequivocally based
>>64733790An integrated red dot is a great idea. Seems overdue. Put the turrets on the side, make the top of the LPVO (including the lens) flat-ish, and you could incorporate a low profile red dot with a reasonable height over bore. No im not describing the Leupold DEVO.

How the fuck do you even make mechs make tactical sense? They present a high as fuck target, have these thin chicken legs with a million moving parts, exert ludicrous ground pressure. They cost probably as much as a nuclear submarine, are limited by line of sight, would be fucked up by a tank, couldn't touch a modern jet that could kill it from 30000 feet high and 10 miles away etc.Like how the hell do you bend the rules of your universe to make these I wouldn't be sperging out about this if Battletech was lemonade sci-fi running on the rule of cool and the power of friendship, but its intended audience was milsim autists who willingly bought hundred-page pretend technical manuals for these pieces of garbage.
