So is the consensus that these drone-swarming, rail-gun toting blueberries would completely sweep the galaxy in all directions if not for lore contrivances?

>there some specific reason GW would have such a mary sue alternative faction in this grimdark setting?
Contrast. When everything is grimderp, there's nothing to really serve as a yardstick for how much better things could be. If anything, I think GW should go full hog into making Tau totally enlightened/altruistic in the Star Trek sense just to show how absolutely terrifying and daunting the setting would be for such a faction.

So? If the population grows, it will reach carrying capacity eventually. The imperium has entire planets devoted to agriculture alone and their common citizenry is barely above starvation, because there's just so many of them. And if you allow people to procreate at will, they WILL eventually have above replacement fertility rates, that's just due to natural selection for having many children.

expansionist empires are a literal plague

Are there any videos/articles that predicted, either horribly or eerily well, how Russia's war in Ukraine would go? Especially concerning the military campaign.

This popped up in my feed for some reason and think it made some good predictions but completely missed the drone warfare aspect and overestimated how well the Russians would do, but atleast captured the fact that it wouldn't be over in days/weeks like some did during the time.

I remember in 2020-2022 on 2ch(ru 4chan) there was a thread called "In search of Ukrainian MIC". Sarcastically, of course, implying that only the great russians have not lost the Soviet sacred knowledge. There was a lot of stuff, some guy posted from inside one of Ukraine's most important factories. Iirc around January 2022(or the first ru military exercise that was a bit earlier) there was a massive argument about how an actual full scale war would turn out. Russians, unsurprisingly, believed that Ukraine would fold extremely quickly. And there was anon that said something like
"each of our cities bigger than 10k people will be 100 times worse than Grozny. Thousands and thousands of Grozny's all the way up to Kyiv ". To this day, this is the most precise prediction I've ever seen. He was only off by two zeros-one on the town size, and one on how many times worse than Grozny it's gonna be

>>64726169
I'm tempted to say that was by Gen. Mark Hertling. It's been a while, but I think he posted RU/UKR NCO observations on Twitter around the time of the invasion, followed by ad hoc urban resistance instructions that some Ukrainians translated and reposted when the doom convoy looked like it was on its way to Kyiv and they were handing out AKs in the city. Might be misremembering, was following a lot of retired officers at the time.

So, on January 12, 2024, Lockheed Martin was awarded a contract to integrate the AARGM-ER with all three F-35 variants.
But many online sources state:
>internal carriage on the F-35B is not possible due to internal space limitations.

But wouldn't mounting an ARM missile the exterior pylons negate the advantage of using a stealth fighter to perform SEAD/DEAD objectives?
>>
>>64727969
There seems to be a typo in the OP picrel, F-35C(>A*) internal;
>>
>>64727969
F-35B makes a lot of compromises for the VTOL/STOL capability. It's fine given the other variants can carry them internally. If the pylon doesn't ruin the RCS too much it's probably also fine, hell you want them to point a FCS radar at you prior to launch so you can nail the FCS radar rather than "just" a search radar.
>>
>>64727977
The doc is from the Marines, who have squadrons operating Cs but don’t have any operating As so they aren’t concerned with them. Air Force is developing SiAW, which is a presumably improved derivative of the AARGM-ER sharing the same form factor

I really like the comparison by country and by missile range, but don’t overlook the importance of identifying your target effective enough to make use of that range. Does any SA country have AWACS to vector in attacks? US pilots are playing a completely different game when they have dedicated AWACS, F-35’s which apparently can play AWACS themselves, and a bunch of EW Growers turbofucking ground based radars. Not to mention any and all of those assets can share targeting info, I would believe a microwave on the Gerald R Ford can provide datalinked heating for a frozen corn dog on the USS Shiloh at this point

You shouldn't be chasing for spec values but they do exist and if you wanted to know what "better spec" values are there's a way to know which unit is desirable over another.
Most retailers won't post this info as they build NVDs to order, first come first serve, and depending on their grading scale of high, mid, low tier it may differ from retailers. If a retailer offer a “ready to ship” fully built units they will list the spec values. Hand select is an option from retailers that will try to match to your spec requirements.

So the fact that on all my form I signed something like:
>Printed name: John Doe
>Signature: Jack Doe (written in cursive)
-is a non-issue? Even when "Jack Doe" isn't a listed alias of mine? Even I would raise eyebrows at that, had the idiots who taught me cursive in school actually made me write my real name, instead.

Eventually, that became the only thing in cursive I would write, and I kept forgetting to re-learn how my real name is supposed to look in cursive, until the moment I would ever sign anything, and I could never even make a note about it cause I was always busy with some shit at the same time. It's literally everyone's fault, including mine. And of course, I ended up ruining a perfectly good social security card, forever tainted with my nonsense, and that's the most annoying fucking part! It's not like I can just cross it out, no one will except that, would they?... Imagine crossing out something on a check.

Their practical accuracy, recoil, speed, basically every shooting characteristic is superior to modern polymer framed striker fired pistols. They are intrinsically safe for carry because there is no spring tension behind the firing pin when the hammer is down, the safety is not dependent on the machining tolerances of a tiny sliver of metal like it is with striker guns. The extra weight is completely intangible with a half decent holster and belt. The DA trigger pull is a non-issue because the only time you would use it is for a threat so sudden and close range that accuracy will not be a factor, like if someone has literally ambushed you out of nowhere and is grappling with you on the ground, in any other situation you would cock the hammer immediately when the weapon is drawn.

I've shot Glocks, M&Ps, and other modern polymer striker pistols for over ten years. Now after several months of shooting and carrying a CZ75B, the idea of going back to those types of guns almost seems like a joke. It's incredible that those designs ended up becoming more popular, they literally have no advantage whatsoever. I would say the only real advantage of a Glock specifically is that a full disassembly is easier.

The only hammerless revolvers I've seen are 2" snubnoses that have the hammer removed to fit in a pocket and are intended to be backup pistols or a last resort for a restrictive dress code.

I'll just keep cocking the hammer for an SA first shot. It doesn't slow me down at all, it's barely any worse than flicking the safety off on a 1911.
>>
>>64728051
>The only hammerless revolvers I've seen are 2" snubnoses that have the hammer removed to fit in a pocket and are intended to be backup pistols or a last resort for a restrictive dress code.
Yes these are called defensive revolvers. As opposed to sporting revolvers with huge adjustable sights, ergonomic grips, and checkered hammer spurs to allow leisurely SA target shooting.
>I'll just keep cocking the hammer for an SA first shot. It doesn't slow me down at all, it's barely any worse than flicking the safety off on a 1911
So then why not just carry a 1911? You're carrying a DA/SA gun, which will naturally have a compromised SA trigger compared to an SAO gun. You seem to really care about the lightness of the trigger, have you ever thought about that? Why gimp yourself for DA which you seem to have an aversion to using anyway?
>>
>>64728063
>As opposed to sporting revolvers with huge adjustable sights, ergonomic grips, and checkered hammer spurs to allow leisurely SA target shooting.

Way back when I was into revolvers, those were the only type I carried. GP100 and 686.

>So then why not just carry a 1911? You're carrying a DA/SA gun, which will naturally have a compromised SA trigger compared to an SAO gun. 1911s are the wrong caliber, single stack, not that reliable, have too wide a variation in tolerances for aftermarket parts, overpriced, and generally don't have a trigger that much better than a DA/SA gun. Also, having DA capability is a desirable feature to have, it's just not my standard way of shooting.
>>
>>64728077

Ok
>1911s are the wrong caliber
They can be in any caliber
>single stack
They can be double stack
>not that reliable
The OP talked about carrying a CZ75B
>have too wide a variation in tolerances for aftermarket parts
Not really you just buy the parts for your gun. Does the existence of the DWX make the CZ75 less desirable because of all the variation in parts tolerances CZs have now? This is a retarded argument in general.

I hate the bugout. It came out when Ben Peterson was shilling for small knives in blue because that's what he likes. And they go and make a mini one? I can carry a main large 4 oz 4 inch knife and a small victorinox in the same pocket if I need to not scare people that day.

There were a bunch of lasings reported. But the reason we didn't see mass lasings is pretty simple. If you're a normie at the protests you're probably not there for violence. If you are there for violence you're probably looking to throw some punches. If you're part of an organization you've probably been told over and over again to not bring or use weapons because incitement laws and civil suits are how political organizations are wiped out. Most people showing up at a protest aren't looking for violence, and most of the ones that are will be geared more towards street brawling. Showing up in masse with lasers to blind people displays explicit criminal intent and the optics alone would get most protest groups to avoid you like the plague.
