The answer, like anything, is "it depends."

The Baofengs all use UHF or VHF bands, which are all basically line-of-sight. You might be able to talk to your brother if there isn't too much clutter (trees, houses, so on) and you go to the second floor of your houses, if you have second floors.

Sister, probably not unless you're both on a rise or something. You might be able to use a repeater.
>>
>>64737893
Not a typo. $5/m is the "standby" mode. That gives unlimited ~500kbps up/down anywhere.

why not? We have 6 GM-15pros with repeaters around family property of about 300 acres. Never had problems with the network. Ever. Connections for Walkers when we are shooting or playing tacti cool training. Now we have solar Meshtastic nodes set up total property communication, encrypted for the entire family for like 500 bucks all in.

Hey Bort, you fuck. Thanks for that response. Have you shot the Glock performance trigger at all? Fortunately this is a gen 4 I'm working on so it'll take the performance trigger but I've not felt one at all yet.

And do you have any experience with Tactical Pontoon's triggers?

'Preciate ya
>>
>>64737020
I don’t see a single person including the challenger using the official target
>>
>>64738425
Not Bort but GPT is pretty good if you already liked stock Glock trigger. It has shorter take-up and instead of rolling to release, it's like you have a wall that you transfer force to through a soft buffer. So it still creeps a bit as force stacks, but then releases suddenly. Imagine you have a really nice trigger, like 1911, but you have to add a spring between your finger and that trigger to remove all the crispness. Also the shoe is atrocious for occult reasons.

Tungsten rods can be shot out of the sky. Their payload isn't fragile (because there is no payload), but would be trivial to disrupt their flight characteristics enough to diminish any effect they might actually have on the target.

>Ukrainian ground drones are now solo holding positions, chunking ziggers with .50 cal
Are you ready for the war in ukraine to evolve into a situation where russian meat waves get gunned down by robots, while ukie soldiers focus on air defense and drone operation?

>A Ukrainian commander said his troops used a single remote-controlled vehicle with a machine gun to hold frontline areas for nearly six straight weeks.
>The gun-wielding drone used by Zinkevych's troops was the Droid TW 12.7, developed by the Ukrainian company DevDroid. It is a remote-controlled tracked buggy equipped with a .50-caliber M2 Browning.
>Two versions of the ground drone with grenade launchers — the Mk-19 and AGL-53 40mm — were also approved last month by Ukraine for official military use.

I will speak as someone that doesnt shoot as much as I would like:
basically ammo is expensive and it is an entire process to go out and drive 45 minutes to shoot, so especially in winter if I wake up at noon it is already too late to shoot.
I've shot maybe 5000 rounds total through all my guns this year but a lot of that was just magdumping trash. I blasted through like 2000 rounds of 7.62x39 I got for like 32cpr a few years ago and then when I went to buy more I basically had a stroke.

It's funny how this periodically come back.

It's even funnier when you realize the "J-JUST SHOOT AND ABUSE THE EVERLOVING FUCK OUT OF YOUR GUNS THEY'RE MADE FOR THAT" crowd spouts that because the only thing they own are bombed ass WASRs and fucking PSAs. I don't give a rat ass about abusing and destroying these shits either but that's not the point.

Theoretically, but it's unlikely that it would be off badly enough to cause this problem without there being something seriously fucked up. I'd take it apart and look real carefully at the cartridge stop & associated pins and springs. Parts. 41-43

The R95 doesn’t have that type of cartridge stop system, that seems to be a R92 perhaps. The R95 seems to rely solely upon the surfaces of the elevator to operate as a cartridge stop.
>>

My bad, I googled the schematic but didn't noticed google gave the wrong one.

What does the elevator look like? Any obvious signs of deformation, wear, etc?

Only slight wear on the front, will take a pic once i have it out of the gun again as I’m about to test it

Pistol related but last question thread died a while ago. Are all 1911 .45 barrels interchangeable with all other 1911 models? I've got a Kimber and want a threaded barrel for it and I'm wondering if I should just get a Kimber barrel for it.

How do I not jerk the trigger? Do I need a smaller grip size? I thought bigger grip would mean more coverage and recoil control but it seems like I'm jerking the trigger with every shot.

anyone ever worked armed security?
>>
>>64737171
no but i worked unarmed security
its chill as hell
>>
>>64737171
It is usually not worth it. If you want to work security always think of it in terms of money earned to ratio of how much work/risk/responsibility/liability you have. Unarmed security work tends to be easy to get into and can be lucrative, but a lot of the easier to get armed positions tend to suck. They want you carrying a gun in sketchy situations where you'll probably have to use it or get shot in the back for the same pay or less. Also NEVER trust a security company to have your back if you use a gun, it is always easier for them to burn you and settle a lawsuit than to stand up for you if anything about a use of force is questioned.

There are very good, lucrative and relatively chill armed positions but you have to find those by mutual recommendations and word of mouth. Those usually don't get many openings or turnover and somebody who has been doing it a long time needs to put in a good word for you.

the closest to a peer they faced was during the war of independence where there may have been a real threat of the eastern galil and the negev being cut off but never a threat of idf being defeated. idf victory was known on day 1 of the war but not where the lines on the map will be

B-14 HMR is probably the best "ready-to-go" precision rifle under $1,000. I think they retail for over $1,100 these days. Not sure what they go for used, but the Made in Spain ones are the better ones.

You don't really need to shoot 1000 yards to enjoy PRS, though. Getting a decent scope and shooting for tight MOA groups at 100 is plenty of fun if you have access to an outdoor range.

And that's how you make the zigger feed the proof you ask for.
Not by asking for it in a sceptical yet open way : just do a uno reverse on them by making the bold yet unproven claim that you checked their own claim and that it's full of shit.
In the same way the firehose of falsehood works for them, it can work for you :
1) if the zigger does not refute your claim with proof, he is losing face, which is worst than lying for them.
2) if the zigger does refute your claim by bringing his sources, you can pick them appart.
3) if the sources hold up to scrutiny, je might be one of those rare mutants that evolved close enough to humankin to actually have a logical thought process. Treat him as he deserves and argue the point rather than taking a piss at him.
