Should humanoid robots be deployed on combat or logistics roles in the military?
>assigned a robot teammate for patrol>mfw it parkours around the house while i try to talk to a lady about a noise complaint
>>64339024>make rocket that spews a trail of ionized aluminum out to target, then explodes a cloud of the shit>crank up a van de graf generator to 8-10 megavoltsRobots are stupid. My ideas are even dumber than that, but robots are stupid.
>>64339024Trick question, they belong in a morale role
>>64339024Fucking none because these are all obviously open loop control, as per usual
>>64339024Why do we want humanoid robots? Wouldn't automated columnar forklifts be way better?
Made In China EditionDiscussion of Shotguns.
>>64338417>500Good general-purpose shotgun>590A1Combat specific model, you can't get long barrels for it like you would use for hunting or clays.>590Older version of the 590A1, same things apply.>SLike the 590, but without a stock so it's less useful. As usual, the answer depends on the details you didn't bother to mention: what do you want to use it for? If you want a fun meme larpstick get the shockwave. If you want to do practical shotgun things get the 500.
>>64338481I plan on only buying one, so as much practicality as possible. I'm leaning towards the 590S so I can run mini shells. The 500 comes with two barrels though. The 590A1 is built ridiculously tough and the parkerized finish would hold up a lot better in my humid climate I think.

>>64338594>>64338481>>64338417Really can't go wrong with any of them, especially the 590A1

>buy a vortex 3x prism because all the astigmatism bros swear by it on k>the reticle is microscopicother than that yeah its great. the glass is good. but the fucking reticle is just so tiny. I could get it tattooed on my pinky nail 3 times thats how small it is.aim small miss small I guess.
>>64336379The Vortex Spitfire is the same. 5x reticle is small, 3x is tiny.I don't understand why PA or Vortex can't make a prism with just a simple crosshair reticle. We shouldn't have to pay for ACOG/ELCAN/Steiner to get a decent reticle.
Is this weird or is it just me, picrel?

>>64338361>>6433838010/10. I wish I got one when I had the chance. There were around 1200 on RTG and that was nearly 10 years ago. Pic rel was when I was messing around and found that a PVS-2 could fit on an ARMS STANAG mount. Not as good though since you can't adjust it at all mounted like this. Starlight scopes are so freaking cool. I am probably going to buy another PVS-2 for my M1A eventually.

>>64339294Not really. His pre-general career was generic peacetime officer stuff (he did write a thesis on the IRA guerillas) and then he was a fobbit general during GWOT. If you were a captain or a major or a sergeant in GWOT that was good experience, but the generals did nothing of value.

>>64339264Probably. I remember in (Air Force) BMT one of the instructors was complaining about how expensive switching to OCPs (This was the ABU-OCP transition era) is. He even showed us the math on how expensive it would be for him to switch to OCPs, and it came out to... $500... and how he had to save up for that. Don't get me wrong; if you're in a position where you have to buy new uniforms, but the military won't give you a uniform allowance for whatever reason, that is bullshit and you should complain (preferably to finance, not some trainees). But this dude, an E-6 (with special duty pay!), was acting like $500 would financially destroy his whole year lmfao. bro I've seen E-2s manage their finances better than this dude ahahahahahaha.
Is anyone developing drone shield?>drones with proximity fuses that go off when they see something moving quickly towards them) (or something like that) and explosives basically just make an bubble around the ship.>drones explode whenever they see any incoming missiles>move out of the way for outgoing>go back to the shit to recharge, and get replaced by another one when they do it>alternatively, you could use tethered drones., but that has other issues, i would thinkWhy aren't we funding this? Anyone who says “Post groups” is trans.
What are your hottest handgun takes? 96% of modern handguns have unparalleled reliability and accuracy. Almost every gun owner will never outshoot whatever they buy. "Gun feel" and trigger quality are overrated; your gun spends almost all of it's time in a case or your underwear drawer or taped to the back of your toilet. The only thing that matters about your handgun is if you carry it and train with it.
>>64339505The fliers are just me, I called the hits out of the black but they were still tight. I want to get a ransom rest so I can objectively test the accuracy of my gun and ammo

What chance do they stand? It appears that the Turks are going to support the Syrian/HTS offensive to destroy the Kurds as the government has already starting shelling Tishreen Dam.
>>64339293So essentially, the current leader is a Western-backed moderate (in relative terms) that was selected in order to avoid radical Islamists from taking over after the relatively moderate authoritarian regime was overthrown who relies on radical Islamists for manpower, and he doesn't yet have enough power to actually stop them from doing anything. That decade long civil war and refugee crisis really looks like it was worth it now!
>>64339083Kurds need to ally with somebody one way or another.Fuck Turkey though.Reinstate the Hagia Sophia!
