>Doesn't it usually say what is in the deluxe version?
I got a free upgrade, didn't really check. I way just puzzled why people would pay twice the price of an already overpriced game (€80 for "classic special edition" aka the reprint) for barely anything. I mean I'm not complaining, the wooden gates are pretty cool and screenprinted anything is great, but it seemed so strange to me to upgrade 2out of basic resources for the deluxe edition and arbitrarily lock the third one behind yet another purchase. Really got me pondering what the fuck their plan is
>>
>>97367641
the reason is you can't really package metal coins inside the box. it would fuck up all the cheap plastic inserts during shipping
also the metal coins they sell are generic FeldCoin for use in all the city collection games
really everyone should just own one or two sets of metal coins and use them for all their games
>>
>>97367443
Yeah, crowdfunding unfortunately is one of those things that's great at first while everyone using it is from the old paradigm, but as its actual dynamics gradually become clear the thing just becomes more and more shit.

>What is Trench Crusade?
An alternate weird history 28mm/32mm tabletop skirmish game still in a pre-release playtesting phase but with the full release slated for this year. Based on the art and lore of Mike Franchina, whose illustrations you may have seen floating around on /tg/ for a several years now, and designed by Tuomas Pirinen, one of the original creators of Mordheim. It's grimdark, it's visceral, it's awesome, and it's very Blanchitsu.

>What Trench Crusade is not
TC not an excuse for you to discuss IRL religion, history that didn't occur in the game, culture war shit, or discord bullshit on /tg/. Keep it on topic.

>What's the QRD on the background?
The Knights Templar turned heretic and opened the Gates of Hell when they took Jerusalem during the First Crusade. Over 800 years later the war is still ongoing as technology has developed to a pseudo diesel-punk WW1 standard and a third of Humanity has sided with the Infernal Princes.

Is it possible?
I like scifi as a genre because all the new tech that show us, but in terms of aesthetics, always looks like shit.

Do you know any scifi RPG with good aesthetics? Even if it's just concepts, draws or artworks.

PD: If someone is going to say 40k, I admit it has cool things, but I don't find it pleasant.

• PLEASE BUMP THE THREAD IF IT REACHES PAGE 10!

>Requesters:
• Provide good, detailed references (pictures are better than verbal descriptions), so the artists know what you're looking for.
• If you have a WIP quote the Anchor Post, and attach the WIP so your Drawfag can find you.
• Do not reply to other deliveries with a request that the artist fill your request next. This is called 'piggybacking'.
• Do not make multiple requests in the same thread and do not serially request multiple characters after a delivery. Suggesting several concepts for artists to choose from counts as making multiple requests.
• If you're unsatisfied with your completed request, please wait at least one week before you re-request. If someone follows this rule, don't waste posts by complaining about it.
• Stay on topic.

>Drawfags and Drawfags-to-be:
• Drop your tumblrs/websites/commission/etc information, but if you're dropping your commission info, please consider filling a request beforehand instead of just advertising.
• Please keep AI deliveries to the /slop/ threads. This is a thread for human-made art.

Can we just agree this fucking game and setting is shit. The only thing it has is cool art but can't bother to make a half decent story around it, to the point they just say all the gayest woke talking points. From "no canon" to "Everyone has a point." Yeah the fucking demons and devil worshippers who want to rape, murder, and rape some more might have some good in them. (Even though to become part of the hell armys you have to see a hellgate and other will die if normal, be corrupted if evil or you're a holy warrior that can handle seeing that shit if I remember.) This is a classic Tumblr/Reddit knock off grimdark OC setting that just is the most basic bitch takes and has no idea how to make a setting and just gets off on gore, and cool heavy metal album cover art. Also makes the people of color and commies the only "good guys" in the setting for PC points and to push they're a "good person."

Long live the New Flesh!

It is probably not too controversial to say that the art of modern rulebooks is made with female representation in mind.

These women are predominantly filling important roles, such as archmages, military officers, or nobles.
But how come there is barely any art that shows them in peril, or at a clear disadvantage? Regardless of their status.

There is no shortage of men in peril.
Neither in classic nor in modern art.

Otherwise, general Space station 13/14 thread i guess.

I want to take over the world indeed, but hanging out with intelligent plants and other things is also a goal, one that can likely only be accomplished after world domination. Everything ought to be intelligent and animate. The sky, the ground, the stars—everthing. The setting uses this concept of animacy to blend the concepts of mind and matter.
Just like a wave is not just the particles of water that happen to make it up at any particular point in time, but a persisting distinct entity, a nature spirit is more than the particular plant life it presides over.
But at the same time, it's not a ghost that pops and exists seperately from those plants. It's like a presence within them.
Can you tame water by killing a wave? I suppose you can, but you'd be removing the animating energy that you might have been interested in in the first place.
Can you gain more water by stealing a wave? You'd just be stealing the water directly. In this analogy that'd mean uprooting all the plants and carrying them to your own territory.

I usually get backed up to my board edge, while the cav goes to some flank and whiffs against something, or gets so chewed up it's no longer effective.
My heroes seem kind of lackluster but I can try giving them some of the command corps and having them go do stuff. At least my battlemage is on a wagon

The steelhelms seem to fall too fast. And a reinforced brick with a marshall is nearly 500 points, to be fair that's probably cheaper than a lot of peoples' cav but it hasn't really made its points back for me yet. I feel like I never have great targets for it.

I think flaws are great, and they are best when their benefits are not combat related.

Because like,

The best way to utilize Insomnia would be to take a Short Rest before taking a Long Rest, burn all your Hit Dice, and use as many spell slots or other healing features that recharge on a Long Rest to heal yourself to full or close to full. Then take your Long Rest, giving you back all your Slots and Hit Dice. In the worst case scenario, where you have no hit dice or spell slots before the long rest is completed, you simply complete the Long Rest, then take a Short Rest in the morning to expend and use hit dice. In that case, you'll have half-ish your remaining hit dice for the day- so it's not costless. Option B could be used if you're playing a PC who doesn't have any class features specifically that don't recharge on a Long Rest.

Beastbane can be countered by not interacting with Beasts or having a good Animal Handling or Persuasion score. 7th Level Rogues get Reliable Talent and stop caring about this at that point.

In both cases, I'd say that's worth the cost for: Lucky, Magic Initiate, Tough, Musician, or Alert.

It's funny how sane that video makes it seem. The information in the game is delivered in a completely (and essentially random) different order, and you have to piece it together while eliminating the various lies. He is also only delivering one interpretation of one version of the game, built on information that's not in the game itself and its debatable how canon it is (especially since some of the information is contradicted in other versions and related media). He probably would have had to make a five hour long video if he really wanted a comprehensive examination of the basic "plot" and all its potential interpretations.

I'm actually more familiar with the remake, which adds a lot of information in the game itself while making getting that information an incredibly convoluted process (that ultimately only delivers garbled bits of text that can never be fully trusted), and also adds a new ending, more floors/events, and rewrites certain characters. I think it's fair to say that Baroque is purposefully vague and ultimately inconsistent thanks to multiple people with shifting ideas over the nearly thirty years since the game began.

I wish the video went a bit more into the more unique items/monsters/dungeon features. A lot of the game feels fairly basic and repetitive, but then it occasionally throws something at you that can completely rewrite how the game works. My favorite example of this is the Vampire Sword, an incredibly rare weapon that many people never even see in their playthroughs, which completely reworks how you can progress in power while only having a vague description of what it actually does.
>>
After reading all this, I doubt you can actually do something like that on the tabletop, unless your group is up for it. I guess most groups would soon get bored out of dying to the same hard dungeon on repeat.
