>>97347457>>97347638Also vouching for Battle Century, it's a very easy system to get into.
I'm getting surprisingly anxious. Saturday will be my group's first mech combat in almost 2 months. We lost one of the original players, took some time to talk through campaign issues, retconned out the prior two sessions, integrated a new player, and have been running through an "escape from captivity" arc. Now the PCs are finally on track to recover their mechs and try to blast off in a stolen shuttle. The hard part for me will be balancing the fight. The original PCs got their rides shot to pieces, but the newcomer's mech was captured intact, and will be able to perform field repairs on the other two to make them combat-capable... barely. So it will effectively be two glass cannons and one support unit. I'm thinking that some of their friendly NPCs (including the former PC) can handle stealing the shuttle, and perhaps their Mysterious Benefactor has arranged for additional repairs to be performed to their machines, granting slightly better survivability. That way I can give the team a proper fight, instead of it being a stomp in one direction or another.
>>97369553Ooh, neat. The comments seem surprisingly negative though.>It looks like it will turn out to be something other than Votoms.>Q: Is this Votoms? A: Maybe, partially.>The AT battle will only last the first 5 minutes, and the rest of the story will be about Kiriko being chased by Rottina and punishing some thugs at a soba restaurant...>There seems to be more dialogue than in AT scenes.I guess it's kind of expected since Oshii has a history of going outside the box with other people's settings, but VOTOMS hasn't exactly been thriving in recent years. Maybe it'll work out.
>>97369553I'm going to cum
>>97371332Cool, I'm glad things are actively being worked on. That being said, having so many factions almost seems a bit worrying when a lot of the existing ones seem a little barebones, and I wonder if such a small company isn't stretching itself quite thin. In the last few years I feel like Mantic really hurt itself by unveiling new games and factions all the time while leaving their core products without updates or refreshes for years on end. Could say the same thing for Corvus Belli with their endless Kickstarters as well but it seems like they've refocused themselves now.I do think there's a lot of potential in HGB that could be tapped with some marketing, documentation and quality eye-catching sculpts. Hopefully the game brings some more eyes.

>>97385956I lost interest already. The new custodes looks nothing like existing one aesthetically. They would clash so much next to my army. I was hoping for an expansion of the range, not a complete stylistic overhaul of a 10 years old kit that is still perfectly fine.

I was diving in the archives and discovered this thing that /tg/ made a long time ago. Catgirls + an underwater world. It looks like the project withered away and everyone involved left this board ten or so years ago. So, how was it? Did it ever get off the ground?
>>97382784>You're the type of person who looks at Nechronica and thinks it's an ERP systemSo he's correct?
>>97383586Eventually you reach the sinking realization that the only way to enact meaningful change on these boards would to become a janny yourself. And even then you'd probably get the boot if you actually started pruning the threads here everyone hates.
>>97377245I disagree, there's quite a few little technical points that all contribute to the overall feel of the board. On the larger side of this is the rules against raiding and griefing/spaming which while causes staff headaches definitely led to a sense of cohension and norms for the board itself. Even going to the /tg/ of today, things like how long a thread can stay in the catalog and the accepted prevalence / propriety of generals (and the extent to which the Jannies hide moderation decisions behind 'off topic / take it to general) all go a long way to determining how the board acts. You can see a direct drop in PPH for some of these changes others are more of a group effect. Why does 4/tg/ suck now? It's run by FBIpedoNiggerfaggots using DiscordTrannieWannaJannies to try to contain culture. And the really glorious thing is? They may have killed /tg/. But like the other boards, it is simply slowly becoming mainstream. Think of how much hobby autism you used to get (and good hobby autism not CR ) and think of how much you get now. Maybe it was covid or all governments trying to reset society but we expanded, we're the lifestyle brand now bitch. And while it pains me to admit it, that it will never be what it was. The best thing we can is just make things we like and that are worth doing and let the glow in the dark nigger faggots suck each other off while bugchasing discord catboy farms spread aids of various kinds in the background. Find the bunkers, go find the TRUE/tg/. We are out there. We didn't stop, you goddamn nigger faggot bitch ass posers. You want the good stuff go make it, go find it. You're right it's not here. It's out there. So go do it.
>>97382775I don't get it, what's the mishap in the demonstration
>>97384291The dark age of geek chic will pass, anon. The golden days of obscurity and autistic passion will come again.
For some time now, I've been developing my free game, an RPG/strategy interactive fiction simulator about a Dark Lord/Lady trying to conquer/destroy a fantasy world using intrigue, corruption, dark magic, and brutal military force.I have already sought and received your help several times, for which I am grateful.I am planning another major update, focusing primarily on the endgame. Players focused on direct conquest will have new ways to find loot—portals to crazy, Lovecraftian worlds, discovering new lands, and a magical slumber to wait for the rebirth of old enemies/the emergence of new ones (and seeing how the world changes in their absence). For players more interested in the less brutal side of world domination, the options for managing the territories of our empire will be expanded. Will you allow orcs to overrun Dark Elf cities? Will schools focus on training engineers for the army and economy, or on brainwashing them into blind obedience? Furthermore, I'm expanding the Dark Lord's interactions with other characters, including available romances. Of course, new content requires testing, and since, as usual, it's highly non-linear and dependent on player decisions (plus random generation), I can't test every combination myself. That's why I'm seeking the help of testers. Here is test version - no need for download, it is playable online in the browser, no need to register or download: https://adeptus7.itch.io/playtesting
>>97380043This is not the right response, gonna look forward to your game flopping.
>>97380578But what should I answer? Only way was to joke about it. Truth is that since I added AI slop graphics, interets in the game skyrocketed (yes, it is still not very big, but relatively much bigger than before).
>>97378890>RPG/strategy interactive fiction simulator about a Dark Lord/Lady trying to conquer/destroy a fantasy world using intrigue, corruption, dark magic, and brutal military forceso Dungeon Keeper+?then that's /vst/, not /tg/
>>97378890>>97378890Back to your containment thread, slopfaggot. Your kind aren't welcome amongst humans.
>>97385740Hi, no, not Dungeon Keeper+. Of course SG ia one of the inspirations, but probably not main (e.g. Crusader Kings was more important). Its focus is not on on building and defending your lair (however there are elements of it), but influencing outside world, establishing cults and spy network, corrupting and cursing nations, leaders and other characters to change them into desired direction, institage wars or waging them yourself when the enemy is weakened etc. Why /tg/? Because I know that local anons helped with their ideas in creating many games (like Chapter Master) - and because I already make such threads few times, on the occasion of the previous updates and usually I got good and useful feedback.

>referee makes big 3D dungeon model>players therefore already know the entire layout>completely destroys the fun of exploring and mapping a dungeon
>>97375212How many hours would it take to build a setup similar to OPs pic though? You'd have to be pretty dedicated and really take an enjoyment in creating scenery. Its modular but you'd still constantly have to build additions to it if you actually run full on TTRPG campaigns with this level of dungeon building. My only real experience with this kind of stuff is spending a few afternoons making really terrible looking ruins out of cardboard so we could play war hammer.
>>97375291The setting up of OP's terrain would probably take 1-2hThere are no slots or whatever just magnets so it's easy to assembleDF is usually sold painted so there is no time needed for thatArchon Studio also started selling pre painted terrain, but I never used itThe painting time really depends on the terrainSome squares take 30sSome take an hourIt takes a bit longer to assembleI would guess twice as long as DF stuff?
>>97372392>Anyone who isn't a complete knuckle dragging autistic faggot will be agreeable to this. Why do you discriminate against OP like that?
>>97375291There are loads of methods for buying making your own setups now depending on price point and playability. It's not at all like it was 20 years ago where Dwarven Forge was the only option. You might be really surprised what you can do with just cardboard, hot glue, and craft paint. Add in 3d printing, plaster casting, etc, you can build a whole setup for a lot less effort and money than you might think. There is a company that has been around since forever selling plaster molds online intended for tabletop use and teenage me two decades ago thought their products were the coolest shit. As an adult with a career and disposable income I've been tempted on many occasions to buy a set of molds but I don't actually have the space or time for it.I can tell you from experience though that while full height walls (like the dwarven forge stuff has) look really cool, they aren't very playable and take a long time to set up. Floor-only tiles, or free floating walls, are a lot more practical and faster to set up. Simply lay down floor sections and whatever dressing as you go, or loose walls (with no flooring) for a free-form layout.
>>97372392>Hey, i know i can't stop you from seeing the existence of the cardstock, and the dungeon obviously can't go off the table we're using, but just play along, okay? I tried really hard on this.Very underrated tool as a DM

>>97366030They will bring back Fulgrin's perfect clone and have an Emperor's Children civil warAs for who will turn traitor ? Either Russ or the Khan
>>97366030Would any of the other Primarchs let the traitors return, though? The only one who I would believe wouldn't get trapped in the same gay baby jail as The Angel for turning himself in is Konrad Curze. Who is dead. Maybe Alpharius if he posted a 'very' convincing case of being a deep cover agent who was never actually traitor.

>>97380104>Do you want assistance? If you feel confident about getting involved in this mess, sure, we do. It is pretty dangerous, all around, while me and Halfie treat it as a joking matter, a powerful, major spirit, perhaps the patron of the caern, somehow manifested into the real world and tried to kill me, only to then send an absurdly empowered wolf after me. And I'm getting a feeling that both of those events weren't even it really trying to kill me, and, instead, some sort of strange game. Meaning, if you annoy the toucan or whatever else may be around, they may not be as playful with you as they are with us. I like you, and don't want you to get burned through getting invovled. That, and we are technicallly speaking a rogue Tremere chantry, of sorts; not exactly officially traitors, or anything, but we never reconnected with the Pyramid after our sire got eaten, and last time somebody here wanted to play middleman for it, it didn't go well, so... You'd also be associating with the sort of crowd the Camarilla may dislike, if you come here. There's a certain niche path of Thaumaturgy that permits its practicioner to make a target drunk, effectively. Works just fine on Kindred. Stands to reason you could probably find a Tremere out there who mastered the equivalent of that effect, but for the feeling of eating food, or the pleasure of satiation itself, so he could maybe hit you with it while you do in fact eat something physically? You ever try to look for a Tremere like that, or you just do the standard thing of being sad about not having borger?

>>97382382We wore our mourning clothes, all black save for Blue Fairy's hanbok, for white is the color of mourning in East Asia. Man of Florida (why did Scarlet give him such a disrespectful nickname?) also wore black and he watched us from a distance. Our two most trusted staff members joined us.Princess Charming wore the same dark Georgian chokha she had at our last orgy, those were the clothes Boy Toy was supposed to wear at home for a few more days, and she was the last member of House Venus to exchange words with him. Long ago, she confessed to me and Blue Fairy she fantasized about Mother's Beast ravishing her.The girlfriend of Blue Fairy, she differs from the women of House Venus in a number of ways: she has a deeply tanned skin, she's from Clan Ventrue, she does not like men and she happens to be a masochist in addition to being a sadist. I never dared to ask, but I always believed she had a history of childhood abuse. This was her best opportunity to see her fantasy made real, so she was the closest to Mother Venus. The box was opened. Man of Florida covered Mercury Lamp's eyes, seized her and threw her inside the Dollhouse, to save her alleged innocence from the impending drama.Once again, uncle The Devil Wears Me tore his clothes as Mother, me, and Blue Fairy wailed. Mother threw her black mink to me as blood came forth from her tear ducts, nostrils and mouth. The ghouls shamelessly licked the precious vitae off the floor and her face, whose ruined makeup made her look exactly like the Virgin Mary in this picture: >>97378950 but with bloodshot eyes and sharp canines.Princess Charming executed her plan. She hugged Mamma and was rewarded with a palm strike, because calling it a slap would be reductive. The Ventrue glared at her with the same lust Boy Toy used to look into our eyes when we took turns smacking him, then was thrown to the ground and felt the Beast's shoe on her throat.Blue Fairy held the Beast so her girlfriend wouldn't be bit...
>>97382382>>97385681..meanwhile I had the Beast's hand reach between Princess Charming's legs and wrapped the mink on Mother's shoulders. The Italian moaned: "Mamma... mamma..." as the Beast fisted her, I couldn't tell if there was more sadness, pain or pleasure in those words.Eventually me and Blue Fairy decided the fur had flown enough and we separated them, much to her girlfriend's frustration.Scarlet's reaction to the gift, to discovering the box held the last tears of Boy Toy inside, was something completely different from ours. The redhead kept looking at it as if she was searching for her lost boyfriend in the vial. She held it to her chest, spun and posed, transfixed. As far as I know, Scarlet's understanding of dancing should be limited to headbanging and exactly two classes of Raqs Sharqi, the style of belly dance Mother learned in Egypt and tried to teach her youngest childe.Comment too long. Are there any good Chesstubers that aren't GothamChess? He's so conceited that he pisses me off.
>>97384424Tons of them, but what do you want?If you want some random recs, then Daniel King (for high level game review), Andras Toth (for bombastic coaching kind of advice but less conceited), Daniel Naroditsky (RIP) for educational stomping on lower rated players but in a nice way, and the Aman Hambleton half of Chessbrah for same at a much lower level (Building Habits series especially if you're new.)Chess Dojo is good for like "chess talk radio" stuff as long as they aren't interviewing people (I think they suck as interviewers, but if it's just the three of them chatting it's fun to listen to) and the absolute best if you want computer-free real time slow analysis of stuff like the candidates tournament, especially as a lot of the "official" coverages has gotten worse, these guy have become my favorite thing to watch to understand wtf just happened in the big tournaments when they actually cover them (just Candidates and World Championship usually). Those are some personal favorites, but there are a lot of people out there, and I'd put GothamChess as like my 3rd? least favorite. Maybe not that bad, because like I said there's a lot, but I don't remember all the crap. Also, be aware that Pegasus Chess is a cheater/scam artist who is just making stuff up for clickbait and doesn't actually know what he's talking about, so stay away from those.
