Deprecated and baseless teleological spin on an allegedly stochastic process. While we're at it, since natural is good, go smear poison ivy all over your own asshole instead of complaining when the strong dominate the weak.

I mean...either they commissioned the art of a voluptuous woman and put it in their product, or they found art of a voluptuous woman and put it in their product.

Either way they not only put it in their product, but it right on the front cover of their product, ensuring that it'd be the first thing that people saw.

So...what is the practical difference?

I have a friend who gets very frustrated when playing any elven, or agility/passing team, because he tries to play them like a bashing team in blood bowl. No screening, he will move players right next to a bigger guy or ball carrier, etc. How do I break him out of this habit? He gets frustrated over it.

Also what would you pick for the underworld big guy? Rat ogre or troll? I vote for troll just to throw goblins at people.

The most recent box came with a campaign structure about exploring a necron tomb world, so I was thinking I'd take that and inject the same freeform lore writing that I used to help the campaign I played back just before KT18 released to make it feel more immersive. Any details beyond that are still undecided though, including who in my local community I can get on board with it, considering I'm in the process of painting the whole terrain set AND starting up two roleplaying campaigns at the moment.
>>
>>97348039
Ask him why he's basing so much, what does he hope to gain out of it? Show him what screening is and explain how limiting the punches he receives as a lighter armoured team to just the 1 blitz is vital to his teams' survival.

>How do you plan to run the enemy AI?
I’m going to devise a priority table like you said; if I’m going with the spyrer’s I’ll likely develop a unique table for each model, but for the palanites they’ll likely all share one. The tables will likely be something like
>roll d3
>3 = I’d play as if I was the NPC’s and make what I think is the best decision (so if I see a chance to grenade like 4 of my fighters I have to take it)
>1-2 = behaves according to a set priority tree that I then act on (making an objective “viable” by killing nearby enemies. If it doesn’t need to do that then it will interact with the objective. If it can’t do that then it will move to the objective safely; if it can’t do that then it will move to the objective in an unsafe way like running in the open or via parkour that isnt retardedly dangerous etc.)
>attacking will have its own priority tree too; if any time I’d attack I have to prioritise using the model’s most lethal option, so if a model has a power sword and can charge they’ll use it over their stub gun, if a model has good armour the ai will use whatever has the best ap etc.)
Figure adding that extra option for me to take charge will stop instances where I could cheese the NPC’s inadvertently by relying on them to fulfill certain behaviours. With the Spyrer’s I’d likely make it so stuff like the Orrus prefers getting into melee and acts a bit more brazen, whereas the Weld will likely prioritise shooting and staying a set distance from models when possible. If I go with palanites I’ll likely add behaviours like apprehending/capturing enemies and advancing with a teammate to their table over stuff like coup de grace’ing, going for outright kills and advancing blindly to an objective alone

what are some good moves to always keep in mind? I've just now learned that a3 and h3 are often good to block off knights
>>
>>97348512
Don't double fianchetto. Knights are good blockers of isolated pawns. Castle in the opposite direction for a more dynamic game. Keep bishops when the position is open, knights when it's closed. Chess is full of these type of principles. For single moves I guess they belong to opening theory rather than principles.

We're going to have to come up with a phrase for the new era of Warhammer 40,000 ushered in by the Amazon TV show, DoW 4 and Total War 40k, and increased market value of Games Workshop.

nu40k isn't going to cover it. nu40k is already bad enough for many of us from headier days like 1st through 4th edition. You are going to see horrific debasements to the thing you know and love that you will still see with your eyes closed. Every 80 IQ person with internet access will have an opinion on Warhammer without knowing what a Tau Remora Drone is.

After the lack of any sustained interest generated by Space Marine 2 (a game which apparently pulled 2 million players at launch), I'm not convinced that's true anymore. It was hit-or-miss between 2015-2020, but since around 2020 that atomising impact of the Internet on the media landscape has accelerated to such a degree that these responses just aren't sustained

Don't know about here, but in more normie oriented hobby spaces (in my local wargaming and RPG groups as well as on normie social media like facebook) I've definitely seen a significant influx of noobs who are interested in 40k, but don't really know or understand much about it other than SM2 or (even worse) some shitty youtube videos/reels which appeared due to it

Any good RPGs for doorkicking combat? Something kinda slick but hyper lethal, letting the PCs take down most mooks pretty quickly but always having the chance to lose it all with poor tactics. I've been running RED and it feels a bit pillow fisted but my group is afraid of RPGs from before the turn of the millennium

America is the only place I've spent time where tipping was a thing. It's also where I've received the worst service and had the least amount of options for handling disputes when I had an issue with a transaction.
Tipping doesn't give leverage to the consumer in any way I see. It only creates conflict between a company's employees and it's customers where it should be between the employees and the company.
The Waffle House you work at makes enough money to actually pay you a real wage but they would rather you be mad at the people you're serving shitty eggs and toast to rather than pressuring them into giving you a raise.

...but they didn't lose because they were on the right side of history, despite the fact that Finland refused to hand over what the Finish viewed (regardless if they were right to or wrong to) as Finish jews to Germany.
What is this called it happens with every political movement where suddenly they become very uncomfortable with the description of "loser" when the person who lost agrees with them.
A loser is somebody who lost, for better or worse, if you lose you are a loser.

Does anyone know of any informative books about the Germans and their military during WW1? Lots of pictures (real or painted) would be appreciated. What is this called? It happens with every poster who throws an insult but then isn't willing to stand by his insult when the insulted party retaliates.
A jew is somebody who jews, for better or worse, if you insult those who defended Europe against world jewry, you are a jew.

I think this went unnoticed: there is a real chance of Penny Dreadful becoming a fully supported format on MTGO with Leagues and Challenges just like Premodern, this would have a gigantic impact on the in-game secondary market since people would be able to get Tier 1 decks for less than 10 tix to farm Leagues and compete in Challenges and in turn, PD rotations (when the price check happens) would get a lot more severe

"Do as I say, not as I do" was pretty common amongst the oldhead game designers. Partly because they didn't know what they were doing either, but sitting at the head of a company moving thousands of copies of the games they wrote often gave guys like them an ego about how well they understood a still developing and growing hobby. Gygax, after burning every bridge in his life and losing everything, later recanted a bunch of his more hyperbolic statements and advice, while Uncle Kev persists in being a retard who is too retarded to know what a retard he is.

But to your point - quite frankly - No, Christianity does not do a lot of purging blasphemers. As evident by the fucking mess of cults and denominations we have running around. Those times are mostly in the past.

For the counterfactuals. Where the history and mythology does not exist. And the rules must have clear descriptions separating game functions.

How, exactly, do you write rules for a Wizard doing the rather common COUNTERSPELLS under this prescribed meaning of "magic" that flagrantly ignores words being capable of having outright contradictory meanings? Because that game function strictly requires spells be a distinct thing that can be countered, in turn strictly requiring that they be put in a box away from all the non-spell game functions.
