>>97349094If you will be attacking troops, then yeah no need for hammers. I do believe in banestrike combis, I hope they do you good. I wish they were +5 pts over regular combis instead of full +10 ;__;Combi-banestrike *and* hammers is so very expensive oof

I have a bit of an inane question for the peanut gallery. Do you have a favorite thing that you'd never actually play/play as?For example, I just realized that I really fucking love the Samedi/Cappadocian clan/bloodline of Vampire: The Masquerade. But I don't think I'd ever consider playing one, and I'd likely opt to play a Malkavian instead under virtually all circumstances, or a Tremere. Samedi doesn't even register on the list of characters I'd like to play, even when I do have concepts I'd include if I were the ST/GM.
>>97343390Man I would love to play Night's Black Agents, but my group would be totally incapable of it. Delta Green was enough of a disaster that it's also gone in my "never again," pile.
>>97343390>Do you have a favorite thing that you'd never actually play/play as?Oh yeah I love women but I'd never actually roleplay as one.t. your GM for the evening
>>97343390Well, playing at all would be nice, but i won't (involuntarily)
>>97343390I love Warhammer 40,000 but I would never play a game in a store. It's homebrew and small narrative game among friends/family
A necromancer with a lot of undead minions>but muh slow combats>but muh evil>but muh balanceYeah, I know, that's why I never actually played one

Lads, I need some help. I am thinking of kitbashing a steamtank with a war altar, but I can't find the dimensions of the top part of the steam tank and the bottom part of the war altar. Does anyone have the model(s) and the goodwill to take a measurement? Would be greatly appreciated.
>>97349015Smile so wide they drool all over. >>97348943I heard that dragon + light cav works pretty damn well, with other themes being just okay.
>>97349204do you really need dimensions?
How are the tomb kings special choices like warsphinxes, sepulchral stalkers and necropolis knights? One lad here posted his vampire coast army that he ran with tomb king rules, which I found inspiring. I've also heard that tomb kings are a nicer army to play against than vampire counts.
>>97349242Yeah, since I want the carriage part on top as well. I want to lean towards that (kopinski?) drawing of the fuck-huge tower.

>>97349082>>97349123I think Slasher could work but its not nearly magical enough. Is there any splat that covers minor human infernalists?
>>97349067I didn't want to do scenes of NPCs standing around drinking while asking "what's the hottest monster you've ever seen? Did you fuck 'em? Did they fuck you?" Most of the published Ashwood material I've read is pretty explicitly that. Compacts and Conspiracies has a bit of flavour text of Ashwood Members hosting a game where they have to knock up or get knocked up by the most dangerous monster. It was easier and a bit more natural for me to represent them a bit flatter in terms of characterisation just to make them a bit stronger.>>97349170The Lucifuge is an HtV conspiracy that is comprised of the 666 human descendants of either Satan, Lucifer or non-descript demons. Demons are drawn to them, either to serve or kill them, and the members themselves have hell-powers. I dunno who the characters are the poster was referring to, but it can't hurt.
>>97349170World of Darkness Inferno is what you're looking for, anon.
>>97349170The thing is, they're normie-adjacent yes but they still have some magical shenanigans going on that can't be quite encapsulated by a Slasher. On top of that, they're just two weirdos and not two serial killers who actively pursue more killing.>>97349191No I get it, yeah. Ashwood is certainly a very hedonistic group and I would venture kicking around a zombie in a circle is another part of that hedonism as well on top of players not being overly comfortable with the monster raping. That said though, just like the Drukhari in 40K there's a lot more hedonism you can chase and taboos to break than just raping. Shit like torture machines, skinning, psychological and emotional torment, spiritual defilement. Certainly much more to do than just le rape. I understand you though, I wouldn't want to do those scenes either.
>>97349209How are demons any different from werewolf spirits of Sin?

What is the counterculture of 2020s, that could be used as the basis for a contemporary countercultural tabletop game?Take the World of Darkness for example, which was so grounded in the the counterculture of the 90s that it comes across as dated and strange today. How would you update the World of Darkness so that it better represents the counterculture of today?Nightmare Mode: Talk about more than just politics. There's more to rebellion against the status quo and the prevailing social norm than who you vote for.

>>97348311Isn't the canon diameter of DS2 about 5 times that of DS1? It's a bit inconsistent since some sources state it's the same size as the original or twice as big, but IIRC the numbers that show up in most later sourcebooks have it be more than twice the diameter of the original.
>>97348244>At first blush it doesnt sound like a nonsensical claim? From pretty much everything we see in SW media, not just the films themselves but also novels, games, etc., the ISD is consistently presented as a Very Big Ship. It's larger than anything the Rebellion had and while there are a handful of larger ships (the Executor most obviously, plus a few other super star destroyer designs that have shown up in comics or videogames), those are almost always fleet command ships (aka. the story's BBEG's personal ride that's narratively the final boss of the space battle) and you're almost never going to be seeing more than one at a time. So the idea that the ISD would be the equivalent of an escort ship just doesn't hold water. You could make an argument for it being the equivalent of a cruiser (big but not the biggest capital ship, designed to project power and operate independently or with a small support squadron for long periods), with the Executor-class being the battleship, though it probably make more sense to treat the ISD as a battleship and the SSD as a bigger battleship. One is the Schanhorst and the other the Tirpitz, if you will.
>>97348752That’s pretty accurate, I have a copy of the imperial handbook and the book does talk about some fleet formations consisting entirely of a single ISD without any support or escorts. So if I were to describe the “official” role of an ISD, it would be a heavy cruiser (or possibly battlecruiser)-carrier hybrid ship, much like the Venator before it. But the scale difference is due in large part to having slightly different overall objectives, the venator was built to fight battles and win wars, and the ISD was built to bully a largely unarmed civilian population (and satisfy some very insecure military commanders). So with that said, I’d categorize the SSD as: an abomination of engineering. The result of insecure imperial commanders doubling down on their “look as big and intimidating as possible” doctrine when the galaxy stopped buying their crap about how the empire is this “big, scary insurmountable monolithic organization that cannot be beaten” and started openly defying the Galactic Empire.
>>97348244>I guess I see star destroyers more akin to carriers if anything.ISDs correspond most closely to "battlecarriers", hybrids of carriers and battleships that never really got popular, though more like a combination of an amphibious assault ship with a battleship than a normal carrier with a battleship. Its main purpose is to blow away enemy capital ships with its big guns. Its secondary purpose is to land troops and provide them with orbital fire support. Its carrier capability exists to support those two missions (though its fighters often end up doing as lot of the real work because no one wants to engage the ISD itself if they can avoid it). There's nothing quite like it IRL - it's basically a single ship trying to fulfill all the specialized roles of a small fleet by itself.
