>>97211554He also did>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skin_and_Bones_(Fear_Itself)Wtf?Why was his initial version of a wendigo so weird and why does he keep redoing it?

What "magical realm" and edgy stuff do you like including in your RPGs?For me is forceful genderbending spells that can't be undone.
>>97196773>Hope there was enough left to make a purse or a pair of boots for one of your female party members ;)Hah! The paladin actually wanted some boots made of her

>>97207649>Le legendary nazi sissyI wish those would really exist instead of being relegated to being fictional characters of niche porn and shitlib power fantasies and demoralization propaganda. I would definitely cuddle with a demure t-girl who actually puts a modicum of effort in looking and behaving properly feminine instead of dealing with the usual leftist bags of vomit that trooned out only because it was the hip thing to do in their circles. Modern trannydom is the new punk.
my magical realm was kobolds and dominant women so I had a kobold shopkeep that did kinky things to an NPC guide that went along with the party, but I kept that to myself and the party just thought they were having a normal romance that let him get extra goodies from the general store
>>97195231That does sound interesting as a movie. What's her problem and did the serpentfolk do it for the lulz?
Welcome to /wbg/, the thread for the discussion of in-progress settings for traditional games. Here is where you go to present and develop the details of your worlds such as lore, factions, magic and ecosystems. You can also post maps for your settings, as well as any relevant art. Please remember that dialogue is what keeps the thread alive, so don't be afraid of giving someone feedback or post whatever relevant input you might have, cunt!Last thread: >>96999149Worldbuilding links: Post someFantasy map generator: https://watabou.itch.io/medieval-fantasy-city-generator

I tried to make a map for my setting and I hate how it turned out. But the basic idea is there, which I'll use for future maps. I was so angry that I started doodling on it, but those turned out like shit so I won't post them.>>97167875It's blatantly 3rd to 5th century Europe and Middle East but with greek style city-states instead of the sassanid empire.

Battlekit lives?
>>97209071>>97208327I feel this too much. I live in a good area for tabletop shit but KT was basically impossible to get anybody in on and it often would just have people coopting the night into small points 40k, which I can't entirely argue with just to catch more flies.
>>97209071You’ve barely even scratched the surface. Read the entirety of the 3rd edition 40k rulebook front to back and you might catch a glimpse of what wargaming is about.
>>97209071I don't really understand either end of the discussion. I just want to play with my toy soldiers and hang out. That being said enough of my chaos marines are kit bashes with some loyalist bits I can build a fun narrative of the loylaist marine player wanting to kill my dudes to reclaim loyalist wargear or relics and my dudes just doing chaos shit and looting everything they can in the process.
So these guys (stealth suits, if you can't see them)Pretty interesting against a marine team. When the enemy can move + dash + shove a heavy plasma incinerator in your face, stealth becomes a lot less safe. Ended up not controlling much on the objectives, which combined with an equal score on tac op, kill op, and primary meant a final score of 10-15.Definitely not a conclusive game in regards to how balanced they are, I made plenty of mistakes, but the stealth was a lot less oppressive than me or my opponent expected. What I want to see now is how they perform against a 2APL team. Losing that extra dash to reach enemies, and not having the same super reliable kill shots that a team like deathwatch has, might make these sneakers a much less fun team to face. I need to see it to confirm it though.
Why is the best strategy to wait in jail and just collect money?Who designed this crap?
Based on real life monopolies but you never go to jail since it's always delayed
>>97211526The entire point of the game was to show that the modern system of landlords and renters was inherently unfair and led to the accumulation of wealth by the landholding class.Doing nothing and collecting money being the winning strategy wasn't intentional per se but is definitely in keeping with the spirit of the intent of the game.Sometimes games are designed with things aside from fun as their main purpose.
>>97211551To be a proper example of the Landlord system, one or two players should start with all the properties in their possession, with the other players only paying rent, being gifted with a few if they are related, or going up for grabs if a main player dies.

What ever happened to human male fighter posting
>>97180263All the HFY fans turned into furries. I'm not sure why it happened but zoomers are extremely susceptible to propaganda so I will be charitable and assume they were groomed rather than simply being enormous faggots from the getgo.

Start at 38 lands.Cut one land for each draw spell you intend to play on or before turn 4.People who suggest cutting lands for ramp are incomprehensible. You want to be playing both. If you ramp on a turn you miss a land drop, that isn't ramp.
>>97212846it took them 4 years to fix that and this time they are most likely not going to reprint any of thoseand tourists are loving it because they don't need to care about the consequencesI wonder when they are going to print a card in a product like it that is so powerful it warps a format again and becomes so scarce tournament players have to speak up

I've been on a space kick recently and want to run a sci-fi space campaign as the GM. What are the best systems for a flexible gaming experience without the autistic complexity of something like Shadowrun? I'm looking for a system that can run "magic" (Psionics, occultists, dark gods, etc) and high-tech weaponry and ships and stuff as well as madness mechanics mutations, cybernetics, horror elements, etc. Visiting weird planets, dealing with intergalactic politics, smuggling goods, assassinations, dealing with alien cultures, learning dangerous magic and technology, etc. I also want the players help make the setting so I'd prefer a flexible system that can handle a multitude of scenarios with cool aliens and stuff. I've heard of Traveler, Starfinder, etc, I just wanna know what system(s) I should focus on learning about first. I'd rather not run it in a Star Wars DnD conversion or Feelings and Lasers. This crowd usually plays DnD or very simple games but are open to other games too. Again I've tried Shadowrun and I'd rather a system that isn't over-complicated and just has the hacking take up 90% of the screentime.
>Dai Dark: mentioned>Neurons: activated
>>97198206Thanks for ideas of mechanics I can add to my game.

Why do DMs love putting paladins into 'you must fall' scenarios?
>>97199258Nice, I'm living in 2007 too.And I'm bi. Neat huh?
>>97181212underrated
>>97181260At this point it is a genuine trope.I think it's because it is fundamentally the most """European""" class/arcehtype (being a holy knight) so by having them be that class they try to hammer home that all races are able to do whatever they want, no matter how much it clashes with the archetype of an actual European holy knight.
>>97183946The way druids were originally written it seemed even easier to get your powers stripped for deviations from 'correct' behavior. Druid code was more weird and arbitrary imo, and after 'falling' you don't even get to be a fighter, you're just a dudeUp to 3rd edition at least I know you could still punk a Druid for an alignment change, just seems like DM's forget that other characters ~have alignments besides paladins. Dunno anything about editions after 3.5 because I'm not retarded nor a gay
>>97184469Does The Sahara exist in >your fantasy setting?>implying you play games

>>97211616>the skaven instantly destroyed 90% of the world and factions in like two pagesAfter all the other shit? I haven't read it to the end, but it seems the Skaven proved the true heroes of the setting.

I've got pulpshit fatigue. Fantasy comic bookiness and pulp are beyond tiresome to me. Ugly as shit art, retarded as shit plots, dumbass pulp tropes like one dude solos an army of 50000 and makes a Marvel quip. Always some dumbfuck scifi or lovecraftian content thrown in too. I want grit, realism, and down to earth plots. I want characters who act like real people, not capeshit actors. I want a plot with substance, not mindless style. I'm sick of it all, everything from Howard to Warhammer to Stench Crusade. Any other fatguys feel the same?>pic related: dog shit pulp warhammer comic from the early 00s

Having Yu there to bounce off Linghao was a good idea, it added some flavor to what otherwise would be mostly paperwork. As far as bridging the gap between twins goes, he could probably point Ming towards the same locations as Chizi, although the more dangerous the better to force them to together.>>97210699I'm not sure the martial path world has a christmas but it probably has a spring festival/new year's equivalent, in which case Chizi is participating in all the festivities, paying tributes to the ancestors, exchanging gifts, lighting fireworks, etc. They would even try to join in the activities probably restricted to servants, such as the home cleaning to sweep away bad luck. I don't have any plans to write anything holiday-related though.
