i personally dig it a lot anon! i do think that the hair and the skin being almost the same color does kind of make it very top heavy with the white colors, but it does make a nice focal point for sure (also nice work on the pupils and eyes)

I have several anime titty statues, I just think they're neat. I see them from time to time, think "nice" and move on with my day, kind of the same as looking at my painted armies on display. I know there are people that fap to them but I just like having a physical object as decoration

a mix of both would be cool, I don't mind crunchy mechanics but they also should allow for some bullshit if possible

I started reading fighting rpg 2E and got the idea but that system is more for like 1-2 players and mainly focused on fights, while I would like something where you can play as a 4 or 5 party and also had space for dumb anime plot

Self Promo time
Weapons of Body and Soul is a Shonen/Xianxia inspired martial arts TTRPG. Character building uses character points with escalating costs. It relies a lot on description for distinction between weapons and abilities, but they are also built using frameworks. For example a Heavy strike could be 1000 punches at the same stat as a singular Gut punch.

Notably Dragonball and YYH are direct inspirations for abilities, even with how to do the miraculous mid arc transformation.

Combat has a delayed Declaration/Resolve mechanic similar to the Final Fantasy ATB (unintentionally) that allows you to act in the middle of an incoming attack if you are fast enough.

Energy may also be used for physical enhancement and spirit attacks, with an open attack building system you can make a large variety of special attacks.

It is in Beta and has balance issues but if you are after something crunch that excels at 1V1 shonen combat check it out.

I've read good things about the OG Chicago by Night/Ashes to Ashes, though I'm not sure if the V20 Dust to Dust kept that quality. Other recommendations I've seen are Giovanni Chronicles and Diablerie Mexico, personally I can attest throwing newbies into Blood Nativity while making sure to keep the pre-embrace scenes brief makes for a fun time of "you're a vampire, now what?" before the coterie gets in trouble and you throw the Sheriff at them.
>>
>>97373688
I remember an anon recommending an adventure where your coterie was converted at a lab of some kind and you were trying to find your sire and understand your clan, so the adventure let you play around with starting disciplines as sort of soft-caitiffs. It was pretty interesting but I don't remember the name or if the guy himself made it

Oh yeah that conversation! I admittedly talked about the HRE a few more times in the past here as well.
I held onto Hochland since I stumbled onto Warhammer Fantasy as a kid, and haven't really let go. The forest aesthetic and the uniforms probably did me in, but I like the tiny bit of lore we have on them as well.

On that note, Hochland got mentioned a grand total of FOUR times in that new RPG set! And not only that, the Aldebrands also got mentioned FOUR times, and the small town of Gruyden got a (rehashed) lore summary! I might just as well celebrate tonight, this is the last time we're getting any meaningful information on the province until the 40s.

>>97371516
>>97371563
>>97371622
I think it's a little bit like what >>97371601 says, but in the case of Warhammer we're talking about a part of the hobby that has turned into a """high prestige""" hobby for turbonerds and tabletop WAACs, who derive their self-perceived status from the fact that they're good at Warhammer.

The insane thing is that we're talking about a (for a very large part) luck-based dice game played by a tiny minority of people on this planet. Sure, nowadays I don't really come across a lot of people that look down on Warhammer, but it's not as if it's footie in any way in the respect in garners. Yet, like those overly expensive card games, it's attracting the absolute worst kind of nerdy guys that got bullied in high school and want to "win" at something.

It also doesn't help that GW releases rulesets that are very easily bended or "misread", and from the online consensus about cheating half the organisers are either insecure 'tists that don't want to confront a player, or are in on the cheating themselves.

Alternative armies, GHQ and Eureka are three companies I buy from that are actively producing new metal models. Hell, Eureka is expanding their ranges at a rate that I worry is unsustainable long term (after restraining themselves during covid) but it is clearly a vote of confidence in the medium.

Isn't the remake generally considered to be worse than the Saturn? I know it has a censored script (even in the Japanese version, it's not a localization thing).
>>
>>97367769
Better in some ways, worse in others.

The remake is easier on the player in a lot of ways (lots of QoL improvements, easier controls/perspective), but they also threw in some tougher challenges towards the end while also giving the player a lot more bullshit to do if they're mad enough to try and 100% the game.

The remake actually gets a bit cringey at times thanks to its voice acting and how dated its art style and GFX has become, but about 20% of the designs are an improvement over their originals.

It's all well and good to talk about QOL improvements and controls, but if I wanted to play a dungeon-exploration game based on the merit of its gameplay I wouldn't be playing Baroque in the first place.

The remake absolutely butchers the aesthetic and atmosphere of the Saturn game. While those may only constitute the 'some ways' you speak of in which the original is superior, they are factors of such significance as to make the gameplay improvements irrelevant by comparison.
>>
>>97371824
iirc the remake is also kinda based on the manga too instead of the original scenario that they drafted up for the original game so elements contradict each other. I know the anon here claims that it's the point but the original Saturn release is pretty consistent in it's story.

>>97373558
Oh, sorry, I didn't realise you were ESL. Let me explain what he's saying:
>It does not.
This part is immediately after being asked if NotLD feels like a political film to him. As you can see, he clearly says no, which should be the end of it really for you.
>I can see why it seemed that way.
Here's him saying he gets why idiots might think otherwise (amazing really, he predicted you).
>But it doesn’t seem that way right now to me. Maybe it’s because I can’t erase the things that were in our minds when we were making the film.
Now, here's where you're deeply confused and missed the context. The first sentence is him re-affirming it's not political. The second sentence is him giving a reason why it's not political (because what was in his mind when making the film was making a horror film, no politics involved).

Glad I could clear that up for you, let me know if there's any other cases of basic English that confuse you.

In my lewd RPG setting that takes inspiration from hentais, I'm making it that elves have gone from Nobodies to Nightmares. They used to be raided as slaves, and after gaining warriors, they started carving out their own countries and some hold grudges and take sadistic pleasure in NTRing human women.

Overall I really prefer it. The core rules are so much better where they actually changed them. Monsters feel like proper monsters now. You can’t mix and match with lists like before, which for some people is a negative, but for me it’s a positive. Yes you are locked out of some combos now but balancing allies before was painful.
If you’re coming from any mainline GW game, you can expect MESBG to feel way more balanced than games you are used to playing, and within a few games you’ll quickly realize how much more skill tends to matter in MESBG.
>>
>>97372720
Thanks for the feedback, I was always interested in the skirmish model, so the game felt like a good alternative to mordheim for the times when I wanted something different.
>>
>>97372479

It's not worth much, the killzones are all bespoke now and have predone arrangements. Super nice for Horus Heresy or Necromunda though. Current edition of Kill Team is honestly a tournament-focused game (and it does it better than 40k).
>>
>>97372479
>I'm getting back into Kill Team after a few years and found a box of all the terrain they sold in 1st edition including the original starters massive 40k terrain and all the shit like trenches given away with kill teams to clear stock.
None of this sounds familiar. Do you have pictures? The Wall of Martyrs is the only trench-like official terrain I remember. I do not recall GW "giving away" terrain with Kill Teams at any point, and it doesn't sound like a normal GW practice.
>>
>>97372479
I play kill team with custom terrain setups all the time. Assuming that by "1st edition" you mean either KT18 or KT21, the game is still played on the same size of board.
It's also just the most recent teams being 5 model squads, I imagine a result of the design team finally feeling brave enough to open that option up for new teams and being able to unleash all the options that they've had in store. There are still teams with up to 14 models and 10-ish models is very common.

This is such a non-issue if you're an adult.
Put some black cardstock over the top and remove them as you enter a new room. Put the cardstock everywhere even if there's nothing underneath. Don't fill the entire table with shit for no reason. And to be extra safe, you go
Hey, i know i can't stop you from seeing the existence of the cardstock, and the dungeon obviously can't go off the table we're using, but just play along, okay? I tried really hard on this.

Anyone who isn't a complete knuckle dragging autistic faggot will be agreeable to this. Be fucking normal, anon, its not that hard.

It's actually the one reason why, despite having a lot of fantasy miniatures in general (both GW and others) I don't actually like using them in RPG's. Any markers or grid maps or the like, really. In my experience it flips players straight into 'wargame mode' and they move and fight accordingly. Ends up quite dull.
