I met so many onions fucks there it's not even funny, however they are not exclusive there. Nerds in general are anti sex because no one gets laid.
>>
>>97851134
People want equality of representation because it is important, you want it because you're horny. There's a difference.
>>
>>97851795
What's wrong with being horny? You people flaunt your sexuality all the time.

Finding out that World of Tanks has a TCG makes me want to design my own TCG. But I haven't played any regularly since I was a kid so I'd have my work cut out for me.
>>
>>97852419
I guess there could be a tf2 TCG where you can only have one of each class on the field at a time. That could be good.

>Cyberpunk 2020 vs. Cyberpunk RED?
Cyberpunk 2020 is the second edition of the Cyberpunk TTRPG by R. Talsorian Games, set in a (then) future inspired by film noir and the dark science fiction films and books of the late 20th century. It focuses on simulationist gameplay and lethal near-future combat.

Cyberpunk RED is the latest edition of the Cyberpunk TTRPG, set after the devastating Fourth Corporate War. It focuses on more balanced, streamlined gameplay and is currently supported by R. Talsorian Games.

I don't remember. the guide to the net is really wishy washy about a lot of things but it's also our only insight into India, subsaharan Africa and latam in 2020. forlorn hope might actually get more into how that works since you burn down a plantation is Columbia or whatever. I'm pretty sure the region is just like that so you can play out classic 80s action movie plots
>>
>>97841871
Pretty sure using Interface 5, you could create pic real.

It's a SMG with SMG Cyclic Internals (Machine pistol 4) I think it would be considered an SMG because of the stock, Interface 5 adds ways to ignore the Attachment limit (You can add Scopes, and change barrel length) without using attachments slots, the only thing that effect attachments slots now is magazine changes, the rebuilds from Edgerunners, and under barrel attachments.

I want to get into Cyberpunk 2020, where do I start? My girlfriend has been obsessed with the game and she also likes /tg/s so I figured this would be the perfect gift for her, what do I have to buy to get us started? I've seen some source books and some rule books on ebay, at least that's what I think they are, but I'm not sure what to get her. I know I can probably just print this shit out, but she likes books too and I figured buying the whole shebang for her would be a nice present. She is also insanely interested in the lore of the game, so stuff that is completely irrelevant or optional is welcome. I'm a total noob with this stuff though so idk how to play these kinda of things. Figured here would be the best place to pose my questions, thanks anons.
>>
>>97852209
you'll need the core rulebook of course, the 4 Chromebooks (or 2 compilations) for expanded gear, the Guide to Night City for the impressive world building and location reference, and Listen Up You Primitive Screwheads if you want a top tier GMs guide
you could hunt them down or inquire at the sharethread for pdfs

I assure you your improvisation is no where near as convincing or interesting as you think it is. You'll have half a dozen emotional hooks and easy plays you cycle through without even realizing it and anyone with half a brain will see through it in just as many sessions of actual gameplay.

Some systems like Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay play like that regardless of prep time.

Then how come none of them ever write actual campaigns? Isn't that WotC's Achilles heel? If they like D&D so much, you'd think they'd write stories about it instead of just waiting for Paizo to convert their shit over.

Thinking about introducing a disease or curse that if left untreated can cause a sort of ogreazation, where the body slowly transforms to become more ogre like with the final stages being a slow degradation of the person's mind.

At first it seems like a boon. The person gets stronger, more durable, taller. Sure they are hungry nearly all the time but it's probably fine. But as it progresses the growth becomes uneven and ascetically unappealing. Maybe one arm becomes hyper developed, their face looses symmetry, they start growing boils and parts of their skin harden. None of it hurts but clearly something is wrong.
Then hair starts falling out, or growing where it never grew before, teeth grow to the point that some no longer fit quite right in their head, and hunger pain is the only kind of pain they even feel anymore. Damage to their body heals wrong. Their bloated hands become clumsy bloated things that make doing most trades and crafts difficult.
And the whole time they are getting bigger, not just taller but wider as well.
Until after a long time, several years usually, their mind starts to degrade, memories from before this happens to them become harder to remember, abstract thinking and higher level reasoning become nearly impossible, and who they were slowly fades as they become someone, something else.

I am thinking on building skadimon. Is it a good time to build it? or will it get phased out soon? most of it seems pretty cheap and I like how it get rids of the digievolution material. plus suzune is really cute

Yeah the only thing that would have stopped you before is Hexeblaumon's price but it got reprinted and is very affordable now. Deck sucks but so does everything compared to TS slop

It's fun. You still sort of need Hexeblaumon on the top end along with Skadimon. Still lacks protection in comparison to other decks when Promo Icemon is mostly what you get. The EX11 stuff is almost replacement or at least prioritised over older ice/snow mons because of how they play with Suzune/emblem, but you do mix both. Personally I find old Skadi still kind of useful over the new. EX11 inherits are also a lot better system-wise.

Also Sourai is cheap and strong in this source-removal thing, almost too good sometimes depending on who you're fighting.

But it's fun. And Suzune.
>>
>>97852395

There are plenty of good decks that aren't TS slop, but Ice-Snow isn't one of them.

Welcome to /2eg/, a thread dedicated to all things 2nd Edition D&D related - including settings, lore, modules, and derived systems (Alternity, Buck Rogers XXVc, For Gold and Glory, Hackmaster, Myth and Magic, and more).

Since 2e draws heavily from earlier editions, older modules are welcome too. Other media derived from AD&D (such as Infinity Engine video games) also has a home here.

It's what you play, not how you play it. RAW or homebrew, as long as your table is having fun, there's no wrong way to play.

There's a surprisingly complete 2e fan wiki for rules stuff, it's excellent for quick reference:

5e is simple in its presentation but an absolute chore to run. The amount of encounters you need to run PER ADVENTURING DAY makes it an actual slog to get through. The system focused too heavy on the epic side of epic fantasy, that it became more of a power fantasy than an adventuring questing game. You can throw monsters well above the Party's level at them and there is a high possibility they will not only kill the thing but do so without any real threat to themselves.

So, designing encounters in 5e requires a lot more effort and needs to have a lot of combat to make even exploration more exciting. Its also a mentality thing, because a lot of 5e players treat the game as an MMORPG which we can thank 4e for.
>>

3.5 is the one with not one but two MMOs.
>>

D&D is ideally MMO, it's the idea behind West Marches and what Gygax envisioned when stressing the need for time keeping. WoW just gave MMOs a bad name.

Likely bait, but I have a session 0 coming up tomorrow. Really it's a session zero part 2 as last week we pinned down some game and setting stuff.

Normally, I do it that way, one week we talk about what the upcoming game will be like. The second week we show up to make characters together and tie in back stories and setting details.

I don't tell the players in advance. They don't know what game they are playing. They don't even know there is a game or that they are my players.

The first thing they know is when my henchmen tell them their backstory and black bag them for the trip to the game site (my mum's basement)

So what are you working on?

>Why should I homebrew?
/tg/ products are fairly unique in that it's actually pretty simple to make them these days, with a plethora of products to assist in making and playtesting your game. Making your own games helps understand why games are made the way they are, as well as being fun to do.

>What you should post
Ideas for games, games you're currently making, updates to your own games in broad strokes, and any homebrewing for existing products that don't get much attention. Discussion about the above is welcome. Post good, be good, and look over others products, they care if someone looks more than anything.

i've just got done working on two d100 systems, one is cute animals in a fantasy world dying horribly and the other is a science fantasy/space opera system. but i've been thinking next i wanna do a 2d6 roll under dark fantasy game. something more simple and back to basics, using only d6es instead of a full set of polyhedral dice.
like my other games, characters would be built out of a chosen race which gives bonuses and drawbacks, and then the player chooses advantages, disadvantages and skills in a stripped back gurps-like, classless character creation flow.
tonally, i'd like to game to be dark, grounded, and use one or two second turns. but how should i go about the combat mechanics? my previous games have used active defenses in response to attacks, which themselves are just a skill check. i don't like dungeons and dragons-like AC systems. what other alternatives are there?

I need some recommendation for PvP focused RPGs or RPGs that have good PvP, I've read Paranoia and Shinobigami but I still need more, whenever I find about PvP stuff it's wargames, I want to make something combat focused.
I also need to ask, what makes pvp good for pvp enjoyers? is it balance? speed? complexity?
