This gives me an idea
>do you like the new C3 tech?
>well so do we, so much we made two new mechs
>cheap enough for mass production and sales, so good at team work that it covers up all weaknesses
>the Lion, a jumping heavy carrying the C3 master

Or just canonize the game's rules. Jagermechs are not some walking jokes but actual glass cannons when ACs hit for what they're really worth.

I personally buy from their EBay shop because it occasionally runs sales and is slightly less-sketchy. Model quality is actually decent for a licensed recast, they tried to get good masters and clean them up properly

I did =][=54 with 28mm models and it was fine. I moved over to Necromunda for a while, and now I'm on the This is Not a Test train for my house games, using the warband hiring rules from Reality's Edge and giving each Inquisitor a pool* to pull from based on the Threat Level of the scenario

Welcome to the Old School Renaissance General, the thread dedicated to first-decade, Gygaxian D&D, its faithful modern clones, and content created for use with them. Later editions (2e and newer) should be discussed elsewhere.

Broadly, OSR games encourage a tonal and mechanical fidelity to Dungeons & Dragons played as intended by its creators from 1974 to 1983 — less emphasis on linear adventures and overarching metaplots and a greater emphasis on player agency.

If you are new to the OSR, welcome! Ask us whatever you're curious about: we'll be happy to help you get started. We also have two excellent beginner guides created by Anons with feedback from the thread that you can check for help:

That is your hypocrisy, as you have attacked not just this thread, but how 4chan generals work, which is why you were originally getting your posts deleted. A janitor currently siding with you, out of being a complete idiot, does not change you being fundamentally wrong, a liar and a cheat, and an idiot yourself.
You're currently addressing a post that belonged to someone else. There is more than one person who disagrees with everything you've done, because you are dead wrong.

You are not the one who can define what OSR is, and your definition is demonstrably wrong.
You cannot reduce everyone who disagrees with you to one person, regardless of how much you repeat yourself.
You cannot hijack a thread and expect everyone to just quietly let you get away with such an effort, especially when the archive is filled with evidence against you.
Not even having a pet janitor is enough to override the fact that this board is not as stupid as it would need to be for your efforts to work.

It's been months. It will stretch into years, and all with an endless supply of people who disagree with you. Because, regardless of how long you will struggle, you cannot change what the OSR is (it is not your narrow and incorrect definition), how this board operates (you cannot force people to accept a wrong definition), or the fact that you're an idiot whose plan was doomed from the start.

It's definitely FOEGYG. It's sightly less FOEGYG if you at least hide the map behind them, leaving them the task to map is they want to orient themselves, but you are still precluding yourself from using tricks like stealth teleporters or sloping passages without giving them away.

Alter Self.
>Change Appearance.
>You transform your appearance. You decide what you look like, including your height, weight, facial features, sound of your voice, hair length, coloration, and distinguishing characteristics, if any. You can make yourself appear as a member of another race, though none of your statistics change. You also can't appear as a creature of a different size than you, and your basic shape stays the same; if you're bipedal, you can't use this spell to become quadrupedal, for instance. At any time for the duration of the spell, you can use your action to change your appearance in this way again.
>You decide what you look like

Reminder that studies show that one in three people have at least occasional curiosity about being the opposite gender for a while and two out of three people are disappointed with their body, meaning DnD spellcasters would be freaky as fuck with switching up gender or physical attributes when they don't have to use their spellslots for combat or other dungeon crawling activities.
It's not outright stated but the norm is that any spell cast on the same place or person for a year becomes permanent
This means there's a small chance that any female spellcaster you meet might be a futanari

The reason you can't become quadrupedal is because it would require serious reshaping and lengthening of specific leg bones.
Conversely, human genitals for both genders are formed from the same pieces during development (ie clitoris flesh == shaft flesh, ovaries == testicles).
It's less of a jump for a woman to give herself a dick than it is for a plantigrade biped to become a digitigrade or unguligrade quadruped.

TLDR: changing genitals just requires flesh-shaping, changing to a quadruped requires bone-shaping.

Want my honest opinion? Modern Delta Green should set its primary scenario as mankind nearing a state of potential apotheosis into a Mythos entity, purely because of our increasing violence, self-destruction, and careless pursuit of higher sciences. Have every act DG commits to save mankind be the exact same thing that's going to drive it to become something nightmarish. Have it be EASY for operatives to hide themselves, get gear, do what they want with impunity, but always make those methods disturbingly callous and wasting huge amounts of human life (that nobody seems to really care gets wasted). Make it so that sometimes, an operation succeeds purely because the entity they were pursuing realized how fucking dangerous earth is now, and decided to leave while the gettin' was still good.

Future/Perfect is also a great example of his scenarios being shit. Hell, I remember liking it until I thought about it for a second and realized the first part of it shouldn't even be able to happen thanks to the portal being essentially one way from the present to the past, yet a bunch of shit SOMEHOW managed to go past to present even though the scenario says the portal is open for like microseconds in the past and constantly shifting through time.
>>
>>97400627
Oh yeah, future/perfect is a really good vertical slice of Detwiller awfulness. Again, it's another one of those scenarios that people love for reasons I just do not understand.

It's Ananasi discussion time.

One of the things that was interesting to me about the Metamorphosis is that the Hatar have this unique aspect of not having their emotions get blunted before the changes start, and have it happen over a shorter period, which can lead to a much more chaotic change.
Similarly, the Trenere Wystra have this weird aspect where they collect stuff. Always. Without failure. Whether it's skulls, butterflies or symphonies, they always COLLECT something, it's a compulsion they have.

But they're the only two who get something like this, and I figure more of them need it. So here's what I got (with brief descriptions of what these words mean because Anons might not be familiar with Ananasi terminology):

>Aspects
Aspects are what part of the Triat your spider embodies. This is roughly equivalent to your clan in Vampire, it's who you are as a person.

>Kumoti
Aspect of the Wyld, creatives and as 'chaotic' as the Ananasi get. To emphasise this chaotic nature, I wanted their first indications of change to be much more pronounced - they'll sprout extra eyes or limbs, or so much venom it starts seeping into their saliva. It's a rough time trying to hide that stuff, but they learn to control their transformations faster than most.

>Trenere
Aspect of the Weaver, very organised and orderly, more than a little detached. Their Metamorphosis is an overload of this behaviour. They develop an obsession with neatness and order. Rearranging their bedroom, spontaneously organising every single book based on a system they and only they could hope to understand, or colour-coding every single one of their exam notes. For some, this is a natural fit - for those who were a bit more loosely wound and social, this is another pointed question about why they’ve changed so much.

>Faction
Kind of equivalent to your Auspice in Werewolf. This is how you go about stuff, and the role you play for Ananasa.
There's a special term for all combinations of Aspect and Faction but that seems like a bit of a faff.

>Wystra
Knowers and 'questioners' - which the Ananasi consider their right to do, even if Obedience is a virtue. They're the ones doubting your decisions and finding new ways of doing stuff.
Their compulsion is the collection thing I mentioned earlier, which is fine.

>Viskr
The 'mystics', and balancers who try to keep the other Ananasi in check. They get a few unique rituals to reflect this.
I liked the idea of giving them a compulsion to deconstruct. The Great Web is a mystery to be understood, and that requires understanding its components. They take things apart. Machinery, people's minds, small animals - they just HAVE to understand how it works internally.

>Myrmidon
The most direct and straightforward embodiment of their aspect, and not afraid to get their hands dirty to do it.

Why is there so much whinging about 'No Games' on this board? I understand that those who come here solely with the intention of discussing tropes and the like can be frustrating to deal with, but there seem to be some folks here who make it their mission to drop bursts of negativity in threads they should've known would enrage them. And even in these threads that hold more general discussion, I don't see how nearly all of them are not at least tangentially related to traditional gaming.

I finally went out with the Toreador lady. Early 30s, petite, 80s lace dress with massive see through areas. I just borrowed a red dress from Assoluta.
Boy Toy had this thing where a woman's instinct to nurture would activate, likely with cute aggression, I hate to admit it but it got me too. I told this customer how young I was and she like moved from mommy to grandma. The patronizing and hugging was somehow more obnoxious than my sire's, but I survived, and the extras made it worth it.
I focused on the things Boy Toy couldn't do, she plays the piano and I know my way around a guitar. I showed her my image in a mirror so she knew I ain't a Lasombra, then my shadow tentacle, "tested and approved by THE Venus in Furs", she threw herself on the bed, it was covered in rose petals and there was pair of towels folded into courting swans, kinda cool.
Total pillow princess, I had to do all the work myself. I cashed in the "first time" and "mourning family" extras on my way out. I know my man had way more vicious clients, but dating this kinda woman ain't so bad.
>>97399700

>You've never been stalked by a Gang in the deep winter then?
Never in my twenty-eight years of unlife, and if all goes well I never will be. Come to think of it, I don't think I've even seen many Gangrel Kindred here. Presumably because of all the fucking werewolves making living here somewhat complex.
>Hmmm. Just a place with deep soil if you can look around. We'll leave our RV behind so I'll need to 'dig' myself out a new den for however long we need.
Easily done. The caern proper isn't quite safe to make dens in, the soil is alive and not very happy if you dig at it, but there's plenty options nearby.
>And inform HSE my Malk is eager to see her tall hat once more.
She's not stopped wearing that fucking thing since coming back from the gift exchange, all while smiling in her usual evil little way. Were she not always very focused on keeping her scalp in one piece, I'd wonder if she stapled the hat to her head. Whatever compliments your Malk gave were well-appreciated.
>>
The Prince of Bridgeport, my coterie and me, personally, offer our condolences to House Venus. My grandsire also contacted us through an envoy, and expressed regret at things having worked out this way. He wishes House Venus a more peaceful stay in Bridgeport. This is fairly novel of him, he usually doesn't pay much attention to events here. Not quite sure why he broke the habit this time. Hospitality, perhaps?

>>97400386
>the bourgeoisie
That you are. Tats, however, has no real income except what she gets from coterie work, doesn't live very frugally when she does have money so on a given day she's actively turning more poor, and she hates handouts from me. She, thus, will most probably teach you if you offer her enough cash and don't look too smug while at it. She's also, big secret she will strangle me for revealing, feeling fairly bad about Boy Toy, so she may give you a pass. Oh, and she could also potentially view teaching you as an opportunity to corrupt you into a rebel against authority. Do you like mohawks, sidecuts, toxic hair dye and piercings?

>don't wanna see her throw our rides.
Given how destructive Potence tends to be if applied in her way, she'd probably prefer to train you in some abandoned warehouse belonging to a throwaway company of my sire's, a small drive away. Just take a car you don't care about losing, something more functional than pretty, maybe one meant for ghouls to use as necessary? Surely your garage must have a few soulless BMWs. Let her throw one about, as to feel like she's stuck it to the rich, all while not really damaging anything you care about. Everybody wins.

For HH? Yes. Maybe you could explain it with some serious Warp shenanigans, but even then it's a stretch.

Nah man, it applies to regular 40k plastic kits that have been in circulation forever until primaris took over. Examples that come to mind are sternguard vets, the company command kit, and the entire blood angels lineup.

>What were they thinking?

Like the rest of the models, change for the sake of it, as the hand of Tzeentch has been rendered severely autistic. In the meantime, nobody can really invalidate the older models anyway.

I wonder how many people got into Custodes because they got into the tabletop late and hated where Primaris was going, picking the next closest thing they're familiar with right before the retcon.

I made a 2000pts midhammer marine army last year for dirt cheap.
>>
>>97400580
Blood Angels I will agree with, those were a rarity in my country and I got the Combat Patrol right before it disappeared.
The other ones, though, were and are still bountiful. I got three boxes of Devastators for thirty bucks, which was a good time.

The original Dark Erufu Edition

Discuss elves.
Post elves.
Love elves.
All elf lore, game stories art and any else that's elfy is all appreciated.

Thread question: Do you prefer your elves as fallen empire from the past or as dominant and hegemonic entity in your world?

Ideally, slavery would almost never happen, but if it is to happen, I imagine elf slaves usually see it as a temporary humiliation that they'll find some way out of.
>>
>>97399911
Yeah that makes sense to be, even if an elf kingdom would be conquered and its population enslaved they would still survive in more spread out communities that would eventually form after the initial generation of slave owners died
>>
>>97397824
Dark elves enslave everyone, it's called equality, they're very open to accept any type of slave
>Druchii in Warhammer fantasy actually prefer them because they're hardy and good at building, imagine building your own house in this economy!
>>
>>97397854
It would be really weird if dwarffags that really like their race talk about the enslavement and destruction of the race they like in their respective threads.
>>
>>97398344
Yes and they die out quick because turns out there are barely any dwarf players and dwarven culture revolves around hating elves so it's really an elven subculture.

When did Magic players get so delusional? The performative outrage about UB has got to be some of the most faggy outrage ive seen in this game. If you bought/played with any secret lair cards or LotR cards then you have no room to complain about the current trajectory, this is your fault.
If you are anti UB because they dont "fit" Mtgs setting, but purchased/played Neon Dynasty, Thunder Junction, Duskmourn, Aetherdrift, or Edge then you have no media literacy because they are all basicly UB sets without an IP attached.
Stop posting like UB is the death of magic, I remember when we thought Mythic rarity was going to be the end and now look at this bullshit. Its going to keep going on until people are done playing the game and move to something else, and theres not a single TCG right now that could take its place.
>inbf I proxy so I win
You are a faggot in denial, if you play the game in anyway, you are coupable in this.

Thank you for reading my TedTalk.

lol lmao
How much did WOTC pay you to make this post? I refuse to believe the pro-UB shift on /tg/ was organic at all.

We used to have books, you know. The stories were a lot more solid, because they came in one novel-sized installment for each set. When you bought a box, the book came with it. They found that they didn't like the cost of writing and printing books as they fell out of favor though, so they mostly switched over to articles instead. Except they wouldn't pay writers to be mainstays, and would basically commission lots of writers to write each leg of the story, resulting in massive inconsistencies in quality.

There's also been some related game before the full online digital thing, but they've been extremely sparse. And also Puzzle Quest.

Shit, do they at least stay confined to a single plane? Why does hasbro nurture such a boner for fantasy disabilities?
>>
>>97388673
Lord of the Rings is at the source of lots of modern fantasy including mtg. It's not the same. I still boycotted the set becaus WotC failed to treat the source respectfully and injected their representation goals.
Leaving that argument aside, I don't have so big a problem with exploring different kinds of settings, I don't like the choices but I understand that a product with 30 years of history like mtg needs to extend its influences.
I have two main issues with UB that are not just that I don't like many of the chosen franchises: it twists the color pie and it injects too many legendaries. I have legendary fatigue.
>>
>>97396685
Nobody likes UB, nobody likes the other sets either. But at least in UB we got hotties. Unlike Chandra who got a FUCKING MASECTOMY!!!!
