hey /swg/I've been reading the old star wars comics as a substitute for not having a star wars RPG.and uh. why is bugs bunny here?
>>97286841There's very little difference between this and a Gamorrean or a Mon Calamari
>>97269643Is this kleio related?
>>97286897gamorrean are atleast Green, with meaner tusks than pigs or boars.this is two steps removed from 'What's up doc'.
>>97286936True, I should have added that he needs gribblies of some sort to not JUST be a space bunneh
why are many creators so afraid of making a setting with napoleonic wars era technology?
>>97286656>But as written, you're saying that never ever ever did both sides just get within firing range and shoot over and over.>Which is of course just ridiculous.NAYRT but that would be an oddity. For a start, if in open terrain how would you get a unit to stand through it? One would break before long, which was the whole point. Units needed to move to hold together in combat. Either towards or away, in general. It's certainly the case in rough terrain (or around fortifications) two sides could end up enmeshed and repelling each other by fire to prevent a close to bayonets. In that case it's less the case that they formed firing lines against each other and more the case that you'd end up with slow wheeling maneuvers to seek flanks and lots of skirmishing. Situations which might be resolved by cavalry or artillery.
>>97285005Why haven't you ever played traditional games?
>>97286280They can at most take credit for the naval part of the war.
>>97286742>NAYRT but that would be an oddity.Yes, that was implicit in my previous post, thank you.
>>97286011>thing but redrawn as trannime
How do I make a campaign revolving around the gimmick Arios Theoman's sword Escude revolves around work?To explain>Arios is the "hero" of the setting>He has a magical sword that gets more powerful the more humanity dies>It's a dilemma - he needs the sword to be at least 30 percent powered up to be able to even hurt the demons ravaging his world, but to do that he needs to allow humans to die - or even actively curtail their population himself so as to paradoxically save them It's a killer concept - but I feel like as a campaign it becomes hard to gamify since the players could literally just do nothing, allow the sword to get powered up, and kill the big bad without any moral dilemma at all
>>97286300forgive me, I might be having a stroke>sollective life forcecollective>character of modifierschart of modifiers
>>97284375What if instead of requiring a % of population dying the sword is just powered up by human souls consumed? Then your players have to actively decide if it's worth it to personally slay innocents to power the sword enough to fight demons.
>>97284375What traditional game?
>>97285131>And it is meant to be a retarded system so that the protagonists can punch god in the face for implementing it.That's a horrible way to write a story. Organic and believable conflicts are far more compelling than "we made God a retard so you could hate him"
>>97286882It's the plot of a hentai game, anon. It presents the "hero vs demon king" dichotomy solely for Rance to rip on the concept via his own method of saving humanity outside of genocide (read:kicking the chosen hero in the balls and then punching the demon king in the face with his own team until they come back to their senses, temporarily halting the entire system in its tracks until a more permanent end can be found). But I'm definitely not going to stand up and defend it for what it is, basically a rip on the general concept meant to basically be Alicesoft's version of the Problem of Evil in its own stupid, anime logic way.
Shit GM Thread, because while you players are awful, there are some really shit GMs out there too.>GM advertises game as a destroyed world by demons and whatever and people trying to live through or retake the world>sounds good, throw my application in and get in>trying to make a character from a destroyed noble house destroyed from said demons>no info or lore or anything so just make one background that can fit in>ask GM if it's okay and if I can fill it in with finer details>he just says nah you're good>is there a map?>he just gives me some random borders map that looks like it was generated from some website>yeah choose a region where your noble house was from I'm still working on the details>his username is some pretentious TheLoreMaster btw>whatever as long as he can provide a good story as the game goes on>me and other players make our characters>he then tells us to create a shared backstoryComment too long. >>97279518You're the kind of person that takes all the free samples at a grocery store.
>>97283987GM failed the Sally-Anne test. And you have too judging by your approval of the GM's actions.
>>97284405I agree with the first 2Either trade them or take the trade off, power from magic or higher proficiency
>Table of powergamers multitasking our sessions with grinding on mmos so combat takes five minutes per turn>GM has a monster cast Labyrinth on me, effectively preventing me from playing until the spell ends>The spell ends more than two hours of playtime after it is cast>The thought of a monster not ruining a player's experience if that's what the monster would do has never crossed his mind
>>97269308>>GM makes us start doing perception>>says we hear singing>>literally nobody wants to investigate this because why would we>>GM is winking at us nudging us>>okay whatever we investigate>>it's a gnome taking a bath at a river>>???>>the others make some excuse to go speak with him while I'm just finished with the game at this point>>turns out... he was... literally nobody, just a rando and he called us perverts for interacting with him while he was bathingkino

The new year brings new resolutions, inspirations, goals, dreams and half-baked ideas.>Why should I homebrew?/tg/ products are fairly unique in that it's actually pretty simple to make them these days, with a plethora of products to assist in making and playtesting your game. Do you prefer systems with a strict class-based martial/caster division or classless systems that allow anyone to dip into anything at the cost of never being great at it?
