>>96505570None of those things would happen. All the changes I mentioned can easily be explained using medieval/fantasy excuses (water is "purifying", sick people give off miasma and need to be kept secluded), nobody in this society is going to expect a doctor to save ALL his patients, and there is zero reason to accuse some doctors of witchcraft unless he's using charms or astrology or dumb shit like that.

>>96505217I've gathered a much from my first forays into the game, what is reasonable to skill your pilots to so that they don't suck ass and whiff 3 in 4 shots?
>>96505522I usually don't put too much down, my last game was all 3/4 and 4/4 pilots. I also ascribe to the "piloting and gunnery should be within 2 points of each other" rule, and it's usually a safe bet if you're building lists in a vacuum since a lot of other players use it as a house rule.
>>96505522There's diminishing returns on pilot skills, especially for cheap units. A 0/1 Stinger might not slip on a banana peel and break its hip, but it dies when someone points a gauss rifle at it just the same as a 4/5 Stinger. Piloting skill only gives you a defensive bonus in the fact that it prevents needless falls that can get you ganged up on. It does nothing to protect you otherwise.
>>96505718That's something I've thought about, I wonder how much would break if having a better piloting skill than the attacker has gunnery gave you a TMM bonus. Maybe it should be nearly impossible for a 6/6 pilot to hit a 0/0.

>>96505473I'm not even sure what you have in mind for your chronicle. Also Mage is literally the game about explaining your magick. Both mechanically (what spheres you use and why) and in-universe (how your paradigm justifies every effect).
>>96505706I’m not quite clever enough to create a Wuxia paradigm limited enough to ape something like chrono trigger without gutting the parts of Mage that make Mage fun I fear, which is why I hesitate. I definitely want to hit the high levels of Mage power, but, very slowly. Itt we help each other find a system that fits given setting.I'm looking for something fitting Blue Archive lore. Expectation:>combat-focused>handles gunfights well>has cover system>hitzones unwelcome>crits should do extra damage, but no additional effects>can handle vehicles, combat robots, artillery>can handle big bosses>allows for some gun autism>no magicOne guy suggestes using Cyberpunk 2020, but I think it's a bad idea.
>>96418965What system would be best for a Genshin Impact game, complete with elemental system and abilities?
>>96470123It's a supers setting where the same force that granted powers corrupts those who have them the more they use them, making pretty much every "epic" evil. Every epic also has a weakness based on their greatest fear before they gained their powers (one epic who was a bully as a kid and was normally invulnerable could only be hurt by those who who did NOT fear him, one minor villain who was the only one who has any actual musical training in his struggling band gained a weakness to their music because he feared it would define his career, a delinquent afraid to live up their parent's expectations became weak to COMPLIMENTS, etc.). If they face their fears they can break free of their corruption and the weakness is lessened.
>>96495346>Beyond the SupernaturalWhy specifically that system? Also, thanks!
>>96497825i think call of cthulhu has corruption based on fear mechanics. otherwise warhammer punishes psykers most of the time. you could maybe hack something together in a d6 system and steal the corruption mechanics for psykers and alter the tables or something.

Welcome to the Old School Renaissance General, the thread dedicated to TSR-era D&D, derived systems, and compatible content.Broadly, OSR games encourage a tonal and mechanical fidelity to Dungeons & Dragons as played in the game's first decade — less emphasis on linear adventures and overarching meta-plots and a greater emphasis on player agency. If you are new to the OSR, welcome! >>96505499It might have to do with themes. What other niches could solars bring to war?For example raising skeletons is easy to come up with for abyssals. And empowering personal champions is something prescence already has.

Any warstrider-sized or larger opponent suffers a -3 external penalty on all attempts to strike the Lawgiver, while her own blows ignore half the target’s soak and raise the minimum damage of successful attacks by two. The Solar also ignores any Magnitude advantages enjoyed by opponents who are consid.ered to be solo mass combat units due to their vast size, such as Juggernaut. Finally, if facing landscape-scale opponents (such as Mount Mostath or Mother Bog), the Solar may always use that opponent’s own bulk as a point of concealment permitting her to attempt to re-establish surprise.>At War 6+, Essence 6+, while this Charm is active the Solar lowers by one mote (to a minimum of one mote) the cost of all Charms which create undodgeable attacks or cause attacks to be undodgeable, so long as those attacks are directed sole.ly at warstrider-sized or larger opponents.Comment too long. >>96505524Magical battle formations temporarily giving battlegroups supernatural powers might be cool. Or extending the effects of some, obviously not all, Solar Charms to affect battlegroups - let there be a version of Glorious Solar Saber called Glorious Geenral's Arsenal or whatever that lets you arm your BG of peasants with weapons made of solid sunlight, let your archers attack as if There Is No Wind, stuff like that.

Sup /tg/ https://2d4chan.org/wiki/Imperial_Guard_Regiment_Creation_TablesYou know the drill 1d10 for Regiment Classification
>Every decade, the chosen caste begins the Reaping Festival, a bloody pogrom rooting out dissidents within the worker castes; those weak peasents who neglect their quotas, those profligates who eat more than their alloted rations, those subversives who decry the brutal caste system, and so on. Though the meagre Arbites presence officially condones this rigid enforcement of law, the actual crimes of those killed are often arbitrary, and the taking of tallies presents the festival more as an opportunity for the warrior caste houses to prove their valour than for any real judiciary end.

As part of my eternal quest to find something to watch while painting I saw Walker (1987) yesterday.I would highly recommend it, especially when viewed as a man grappling with Deep Drunkenness. The way reality seems to bend around Walker while also fraying subtly and not so subtly really fits that Agarthan feel.>Unless man believes there's something great to do, he can do nothing great. A great idea springs up in his soul, agitates his entire being, transports him from the present and lets him feel the future. Trench Crusade General - /trench/Weird love Edition >What is Trench Crusade? An alternate weird history 28mm/32mm tabletop skirmish game still in a pre-release playtesting phase but with the full release slated for this year. Based on the art and lore of Mike Franchina, whose illustrations you may have seen floating around on /tg/ for a several years now, and designed by Tuomas Pirinen, one of the original creators of Mordheim. It's grimdark, it's visceral, it's awesome, and it's very Blanchitsu. >What Trench Crusade is not TC not an excuse for you to discuss IRL religion, history that didn't occur in the game, culture war shit, or discord bullshit on /tg/. Keep it on topic. >What's the QRD on the background? The Knights Templar turned heretic and opened the Gates of Hell when they took Jerusalem during the First Crusade. Over 800 years later the war is still ongoing as technology has developed to a pseudo diesel-punk WW1 standard and a third of Humanity has sided with the Infernal Princes. >How do I get started? /tg/, I'm designing a campaign for my group. The campaign consists from three acts. As a whole, they cover levels from 1 to 20.What happens in the first act is immaterial for this thread. In the very beginning of the second act, however, they will meet the big villain of the campaign, who decides that they're going to be a threat to his master plan and immediately kills them all right at the end of a gruelling dungeon. The player characters then go to Valhalla, meet not!Odin and then return to life with a divine quest. Half of the second act will involve fulfilling this quest to pay not!Odin back for their resurrection. The other half involves revenge against the villain. Now, obviously if they just reveal themselves, they'd just be killed again. So they'll be gently suggested to assume false identities and infiltrate the villain's massive army of mercenaries in order to foil his plan from the inside. By the end of the act, the villain's army will be gone, his personal power extinguished, and then he'll die as the final boss of the act. That's the idea. However, I keep thinking about how it'll actually go. I have 7-9 dungeons in mind for the second act. That is a lot of sessions spent under secret identities, while everyone believes that they're dead. While the undercover arc could potentially be interesting, I'm also seeing the potential for it to be very exhausting to actually go through.Should I just pre-emptively cut the "undercover" part to just 1 or 2 dungeons? It's going to be pretty difficult to change them on the fly, if I see that this story is not working.
