How do you justify a "pest race" like goblins or rat people in your setting? Why wouldn't the dominant species make a concentrated effort to eradicate them if they were a problem?

Three main avenues I can think of.
>They reproduce through magical bullshit periodically (portals to hell, blood moons spawning, etc.)
>The big bad of the universe spawns them and has a "farm" of them to keep the population in check, to spawn more if their numbers get culled by adventurers.
>They've been bred out of their bad tendencies, and there are good gobbos and bad gobbos, while some bad eggs remain, most are good, and it's seen as a crime to kill them indiscriminately. This means bad sects remain as a background pest, but there are rules in place not to do explicit genocide.

they live underground in tight spaces where human warriors can't follow them

pretty much the only way to get rid of them is for high level mages to systematically go around destroying all their lairs in a region, but most of the time they got better things to do

My city's first Premodern monthly ran today with 10 players. I went 2-2 with this hastily assembled UW Flippi list - I was running late hence some numbers look weird
0-2 Moneyball black
2-0 Flinker
0-2 FEB - I misplayed because of format knowledge, naming wrong with Meddling Mage, in G1 then mulled a 7 and 6 that I probably could've kept in game 2
2-1 Sligh
My losses were to 1st and 2nd place respectively so I scammed my way into 3rd place.

Wasn't meant to help make it more acceptable. I was actually trying to point out something the writer of Shield Hero likely noticed about one of the genre's tropes. Slavery in Isekai is often treated more as adopting a pet you could potentially have sex with rather than a serious social injustice.

>>97215784

Which is why the Shield Hero web novel is identifiable as a deconstruction while the manga and anime verge more toward standard isekais with an edgy protagonist. Most "fans" of the series don't really get as far as the New Seven Deadly Sins arc which shows just how messed up the MC's actions are.

One of the most prominent ones is the Silver Hand. Started as a "revange plot" against the ruling noble family of the biggest kingdom in the world, with a desire to kill the major members and their supporters. Over time, its members have found some shady shit that is connected to stuff like godhood and also the nature of other world and demons. Nowadays, it has several different 'sects' that have various goals and try to work together, somewhat.
They are also very prominent in alchemical and technological fields. One of their most infamous sub-organizations are alchemically-infused elite murderhobos that have little to no restraint. Other than that, their main power is them having a lot of money and influence.
Named after a punishment performed against thieves and bandits.

Moloch's Fun Park Edition

>What is Trench Crusade?
An alternate weird history 28mm/32mm tabletop skirmish game still in a pre-release playtesting phase but with the full release slated for this year. Based on the art and lore of Mike Franchina, whose illustrations you may have seen floating around on /tg/ for a several years now, and designed by Tuomas Pirinen, one of the original creators of Mordheim. It's grimdark, it's visceral, it's awesome, and it's very Blanchitsu.

>What Trench Crusade is not
TC not an excuse for you to discuss IRL religion, history that didn't occur in the game, culture war shit, or discord bullshit on /tg/. Keep it on topic.

>What's the QRD on the background?
The Knights Templar turned heretic and opened the Gates of Hell when they took Jerusalem during the First Crusade. Over 800 years later the war is still ongoing as technology has developed to a pseudo diesel-punk WW1 standard and a third of Humanity has sided with the Infernal Princes.

By chance does anybody know of some other wargames where Trench Crusade models can be easily adapted to? That uses vehicles as well?
I like the aesthetics and some of the TC fluff. I just want the scale of the wargames to be larger rather than small scale skirmishes.

Not really when the shovel is more expensive than the basic melee weapons and you can't mix it with a shield since shields always take up 1 hand thus not allowing you to make a 2-handed melee attack with the shovel.

>Got me beat, I actually am new to AoS no idea what the Underworld is and how it differs.
Warhammer Underworlds is a board-miniature-cardgame mix.
Each player has one warband (between 3 and 7 miniatures generally) and 2 decks: One for objectives and one for upgrades+strategy cards.
The game is played in a hex board (similar to the new Warhammer Quest)

Win the game the player that earns more glory after 3 rounds (each with 4 activation-turns for each player)
Glory in won by either completing objectives (botton of the objective cards shows how much you gain from doing it)(gold cards) or killing opposing fighters (1 for each fighter, 1 extra if the fighter had 5 or more hp)(2nd edition is a bit different)
Glory comes unspent (gold coin) and you can spend it (turn it face down) to play upgrades to your fighters (they still count for determining the winner of the game)

Each fighter card has its characteristics written/displayed (how much hexes it moves, how much defense dice it rolls and what is a "hit" for them, hp, attacks, and abilities)(2nd ed each warband has an warscroll) so you don't have to reference things in external materials.

During an activation you choose a fighter and then chose between move, charge(move+attack), attack or wait(do nothing) (if you move you put a move token meaning that you can't give another move action to the fighter for the rest of the round)(for charge you put a charge token that makes the fighter unable to make move or attack actions for the rest of the round). After the activation you can play a card (either a ploy that happens immediately (most of times) or pay for an upgrade)

No. AoS needs a Necromunda/Mordheim analog. Fuck Killteam and zero customization. I want YOUR DUDES. I want progression more akin to an RPG. I want modular kits with a crazy amount of bits. Killteam is basically a boxed miniature game. It's fine, but honestly super boring after one game.

And while not the target of a question, here is my suggestion:
Ranges/zones are a thing since dunno, mid 80s. There is a reason people use those instead of exact fucking distance measurement, you deft cunt.
Seriously mate, what made you think measuring distance down to a fucking single feet is the right course of action? Even if you are autistic, you should grasp the basic concept that it makes no fucking difference if something is 200 or 2000 paces away, because at both of those distances, hitting a human without a decent scope is a pure random chance.
Or are you simply nogunz?

Where is my state-mandated DMG?
>>
>>97216469
I think there's no reason not to play into them, ending your turn early is a guaranteed loss, trying to make your full board at least has a chance of winning anyway depending on what they draw.
If it's game 1 and you don't know what your opponent's on they might be on some really jank deck that could draw 30 cards and still not break your board. Some decks don't even benefit from resolving one all that much and still run them because their opponent will fumble and misplay the instant a mulcharmy activates, which is to say that in a lot of cases there's nothing for them to even draw into, they're just bluffing that letting them draw is dangerous.
>>
>>97215775
Hope you found em cheap, good luck.
>>
>>97216469
Since the Mulcharmies are area specific, you generally have two strats:
>Play around the zones that let them draw cards
Some decks are able to put up a decent partial board while giving the opponent few to no draws.

>Full Send
If they draw enough cards, they are going to have to randomly shuffle some back. Get some Nibiru protection up in case they draw into it, and then just go all in.
>>
>>97216469
Play combo lines that end on 1-3 draws and 2-4 interactions and supplement with your non-engine.
There's some decks that can just blatantly disrespect the Mulcharmy like Lunalight because most decks can't out 2 Liger Dancers + Bagooska with their entire deck in their hand before sideboarding.

Movement: 4
Weapon Skill: 4
Ballistic Skill: 2
Strength: 3
Toughness: 4
Wounds: 1
Initiative: 4
Attacks: 1
Leadership: 9

BS of two seems unnecessarily low even if they don't have a ranged attack, usually only untrained morons have that

Heavy armor is +5, but otherwise seems appropriate

Silver Swords are usually reserved for knights and leaders only

Githwarriors are usually shown carrying a basic two handed sword (great weapon)

Too lazy right now to math out whether the points cost makes complete sense, if it ends up being too low I would either give them a second attack and/or bump WS to 5. The Old World version of the Chaos Warrior seems to be the closest equivalent to what I outlined above and they are 15 points with a great weapon

Ogryn aren't stupid, well they are, but they're not like *medically retarded* stupid. They're just slow and kind of childish, and smart in the way a kid can be smart but still unintelligent. Bill seems like a pretty easy speech pattern to copy and try to use to sell that he's a bit dumber than the other guys but he has heart.

yeah that "statistic" is on the same level of fraud as "women get paid 3/4the same as a man"

You get lies, damn lies, and statistics. Shills will argue "sampling" and in the same breath say "You can't tar a whole group because of a few bad apples".

He is indifferent towards most authority and as long as they don't get in his way he will tolerate them. However he isn't above killing them if they try to fuck him over and all.
