Officially they're 10mm but just eyeballing em they look bigger. I'm guessing they'll fit in well enough with HG minis since they're on the smaller side of 12mm.
I can post a comparison when I get my sets. I haven't seem them side by side of anything yet so there's very little frame of reference besides the sprue.

Guys I have an idea for a game, but I don't know how to compartmentalize and structure my thoughts into a cohesive, readable and interesting manner.
How am I supposed to take my thoughts, test them, and structure them?

You put them to paper, then leave it for a week, come back, read it, blanch in horror, rewrite, repeat.
>>
>>96481683
Start by setting up some general concept pools; i.e. all movement rules go here, all ranged interactions go here. Then just write down everything that comes to mind as you think about the game. When you go and try out the ideas, you can then start cutting out the ideas that you don't use or don't work, and start moving it into a structure that makes sense to read and follow.

I don't think it was a good choice to use a term that is...
>...a common term used by many people in discussions in real life and regularly interchangeable with the term firearm
>...already getting thrown around in the system with rifles and ranged meta
>>
>>96481577
The point is that every ranged weapon in the core book ARE guns for the purpose of Operative's abilities, despite the wide range of weapon classes they fit in. It keeps it generic, future-proofed, and easily memorable for people, and can easily slot in the pre-existing firearms as long as they explain that stuff like cryo-cannons aren't really FIREarms. It also not something prone to getting mixed up thanks to the genericness of the term. "Ranged weapon with analog/tech trait? Yeah, gun".

The only awkwardness would probably involve combination firearms, seeing as non-Strikers lack a clarification that the whole combo will be a "gun" for the purposes of scaling. Or the two crossbows being a gun but you have to be really smoothbrained to get upset about that. Ultimately, I doubt that Operative is going to hog the term in any real effective way.

What exactly are you looking for here, anon?

Legally? No, you can't do that. That is specifically forbidden under IP and Copyright Law.

Practically? Sure, do it until the IP holder notices and sends a cease and desist. Then change the name of your store or change which creator you're printing from and do it again. Rinse and repeat. Chances are that the smaller creators won't even be able to send you an official cease and desist.

If you make a lot of money doing this, like over 10k annually, then report it to the IRS and pay taxes. Otherwise even the small creators can use them as an attack dog to retaliate. Bonus point here is that you can then list all your models, paints, printers, filament, and resin as business expenses.
>>
>>96481712
I suppose I am looking for advice on whether it is practical and if I will I be super raped for it, but if I can operate until a C/D hits me for some reason that will realistically be enough time for me to pay off some big bills and go onto new things. I earn a decent wage as it is but I am forced to put savings away for a bill I need to take care of, but with something like this I can get over that hump quicker and enjoy life more if that makes sense.
>If you make a lot of money doing this, like over 10k annually, then report it to the IRS and pay taxes.
That's a good point. I am not sure if I will get to that point but with the prints in question I am going to see if I can get 80 a pop for them due them normally being just over half a grand non-printed, assuming I can make it practical and work to begin with. I have a test print underway as we speak for the largest section at 12 hours with the rest of the parts adding up in total to around 36-48 hours of print time at the very most. I guess I could also have a contact email or number included with orders in case of C/D and continue operating that way too with pre-existing customers, but I am getting ahead of myself there.

>What is Genesys?
Released in November 2017, Genesys is a pen-and-paper generic/universal RPG system and toolkit by Fantasy Flight Games and EDGE Studio, using a refined version of the system presented by their Star Wars RPGs (Edge of the Empire, Age of Rebellion, Force and Destiny). Its central mechanic is the Narrative Dice System, using pools made of specialized dice to create narrative results. The intention is for the system to be a highly flexible narrative system, adaptable to most any conceivable setting and premise.

Honestly this mechanic/subsystem was improved in L5R 5e.
>Each character sets a goal in the encounter (Know target motivation, skills & talents, give a curse, etc)
>Each character has to get a separate amount of success
>Once success amount is reach the goal is attain
>If there are competing successes it is first one first served and comparison of amount to determine the degree of success.
>Various techniques may hinder, help, or outright tell falsehoods on a target's goal.

That's just social encounters in general, which is broader in scope than motivations.

At least during 3rd and 4th you could get inside buildings.
Things like bunkers usually get the vehicle treatment. It was there but it never got too much attention, since usually fighting in interiors was it own separate scenarios with their own rules like Zone Mortalis or Boarding Actions
>>
>>96480990
I notice this as well. The only definitive ruleset for indoors I can think of for 40K is Battlezone: Cityfight, and that essentially said "cut out floor plans for each building and play on them seperately". I am sketching out floor plans for modular, playable interiors for 40k for my local, because I hate that all we have are old cities of death pieces glued in random half square shapes, or half square styrofoam ruins that are chipping and snapping apart.
I think it might be because 40k has so many units that arent human shaped, or are jsut really big, especially nowadays, and it just sort of is made an afterthoguht because trying to make rules that apply to both a guardsman and a dreadnought probably makes people pull their hair out.

Can you give me names, or even links, to those wargames that you feel have good rules for playing in and with buildings? Would really help me out.
>>
>>96481500
See that's the thing.... Not every unit SHOULD be able to enter a building. That is the benefit of infantry in real life, their purpose is to take and hold ground. Infantry can dig in, hunker down, fortify positions in buildings. Tanks and dreadnaughts can not. That's exactly how it should be.
