>>96604687Is this a diorama or a drawing? That'd help narrow it down. I have a vague recollection of the kind of thing you mean.>>96604858You know I don't think there is. in the Painting Space Marines guide that came in a white dwarf there was ultramarines, salamanders, blood angels and space wolves to give an array of schemes. And I've skimmed various blanchitsu articles form the time, some even featuring the crimson fists, but they don't really give much of a guide of any kind. But then the crimson fist scheme is so damn basic, it's like at best: a dark blue, mid blue, and light blue (or could be achieved by mixing from the mid blue), black, white, red, silver, bit of yellow in for the badges (and over white to undercoat for the red given how much of a pain the yellow and red paints were of the time to get bright colours with, not a problem now), and if you want to improve much of any of it get mixing paints because there's not that many to work with in the range in '87.But don't be afraid to go advanced on techniques, use ink washes, or throw in using fineliner pens (especially for that really fine chequerboard) and other mixed media stuff as that's what Blanche would do.
>>96601294Please paint him up and use him anyways. He'd look great in a unit of classic metal knights.
Once again sharing the RT magazine article compilation. https://gofile.io/d/yNK9bqWorking on a version two with a few new articles I've found and a cleanup of the formatting. Gonna be a while though, kids, school, and other stuff come first.
>>96604687Yep I remember it. It was only in the USA White Dwarf, around the middle to end of third I'd say.It was a two-tier game, with a 40k board with as you say, a Macrocannon built into a cliff, which was also shooting at I believe a concurrent Battlefleet Gothic game.I'm British and I only know of it because a friend brought that exact issue back from the USA to our local GW and showed us it.The various languages and regional versions of White Dwarf have had varying independence over the years, everything from their own articles to simply being translated. It would be nice to actually have a proper archive.
>>96605490Sorry for being late and all- the one I'm thinking of was a drawing- a cutaway, side-on drawing of the 'facility' with a numbered map for the rooms and everything. Not for playability or anything, just to tell you what room was what.>>96606187This is the first I'm hearing of an actual gameboard using the idea- for 40k at least, I know a couple historicals have involved the Longue-sur-Mer batteries, but it certainly sounds fascinating!Honestly, now I think on it, it wouldn't surprise me at all if the coastal guns were an inspiration for the macrocannon, in the same vein as 3rd Armageddon's being Operation Barbarossa.

>>96606050
>>96606092Exact number idk? You'd get the first two at least and I think because you're already mid attack you miss the window for Omni X since you'd be at the point where you have to resolve when attacking effects and you can't declare a second attack during an already in progress attack
Summon the clans, inform the guilds, and pop the casks, it's dwarf time.
what's the best and most complete dwarf language?

>>96605463Frankenstein's monster would be Azorius. He was smart and tried to do good, but ended up with a cancer reputation.Nos would play Golgari or green blue black. Likes tokens and debuffs. And controlling the shit out of the board. He wouldn't play dredge though, cause even he's not that evil.

What’s the appeal, lore-wise, of the Free Cities of Sigmar /tg/?

The appeal for me is making my own dudes, like it has been forever.Although saying that, the older I get the more I try to replicate codex schemes. Keeps the nostalgia alive I think.

Is there any difference between the GURPS milieu and classic Traveller golden age milieu?
>>96579821>have the ADHD but mostly just hyperfixation >design entire Traveller setting with hundreds of systems, each with planets and cultures within, factions across the stars competing with each other>party spends the campaign building sexbots and huffing Space Quaaludes instead of engaging in the Trek-like adventures I prepareSuch is life for the forever-DM. I suppose I can understand why they want to be wacky in space when they usually play fantasy campaigns more seriously.
>>96600490What I mean is, what's canon in GURPS that isn't canon in Mongoose?
>>96604028Strephon lives and there's no civil war. Unless you involve players in high level fuckery, I'm not sure they'd notice the difference. There's also another setting taking place during the wars between the Vilani 1st Imperium and the Earth though.
>>96606167Strephon lives in MgT2e too, unless you're specifically running something where he's not. It's set in 1105.

OC Edition!
The elven empire, being as stubborn as it is, didn't survive the equivalent of the Napoleonic era, being broken up into countless occupied states and being forced to be the equals to mayflies.
>>96605836It would die out in a few generation.
>>96605844Elven generations are very long.
>>96605849In one or two generation they wouldn't have any elven kids since all chicks would start families with human males and at third half-kids and their human fathers would be dominant population

I want to get into pathfinder 2eR, and I really like playing wizards, but Vancian casting perplexes me to no end. Is there some sort of strategy guide? Like... How many fireballs am I supposed to prepare? Combat can come at literally any moment - how am I supposed to be prepared for the hundreds of spontaneous 'roll initiative''s?Am I just supposed to load the fuck up on panic spells and fireballs and use spell substitution to cast everything as a pseudo-ritual when needed? How the hell am I supposed to account for this shit without having 9 mega lethals in the chamber just so I'm not the most useless babyboy in the world during any surprise combat? How do I go back in time and kill Jack Vance to stop Gary Gygax from reading Dying Earth and copying the stupidest magic system available?
Thinking ahead is proving an insurmountable challenge for zoomer scum.
>>96605545Thank youOn an unrelated note does anyone have a wizard edit of JD Vance for me to print and slap on my spellbook
why do americans think about NOTHING but politics?
>>96605539>Vancian casting perplexes me to no endAs you little zoom-zooms say: Skill issue.>Am I just supposed to load the fuck up on panic spells and fireballs and use spell substitution to cast everything as a pseudo-ritual when needed? This has nothing to do with either Vance or Gygax. Vance had nothing to do with RPGs and Gygax left TSR fifteen years before spell substitution was a thing. Blame modern game designers being obtuse about magic-users not being able to "just win">How the hell am I supposed to account for this shit without having 9 mega lethals in the chamber just so I'm not the most useless babyboy in the world during any surprise combat?Welcome to playing a magic-user circa 1973.
