>No, by refusing contact with intentional media you deny yourself purpose in the first place. You're emulating the idea of a character rather than reinterpreting it, in the same way a cargo cult makes a radar dish out of straw.
um no, purpose comes from the person, the ai emulates, the person uses it with purpose

>What a bizzare accusation for you to make when you are advocating for a machine that thinks for you?
this is your projection, i'm saying it's possible to use ai without allowing it to think for you yet you seem convinced that it's impossible, so the point stands

>Also thats not helpful for searching by art style, medium or content,
yes it is, you just follow a bunch of artists and filter out recommendations, then you have the art you want and never see ai art on it

>it doesnt change the fact that our lives are now harder, not easier
speak for yourself, the adage that it's the fate of the stupid to have difficult lives applies to you pretty well here
>>
I used AI to generate character tokens for an online game I had to prepare in less than 6 hours on a laptop where I didn't have my folder of saved character art.
It did its job, the results were lame, didn't really matter.
>>
>>97818204
AI is just a tool. You can read up all you want, all your creativity and knowledge are going to come out one way because that's how you process it. AI can have the same knowledge and give you a different spin, you start from that and develop again to have something you wouldn't have thought of. You can get the same or better result talking with other people, yes, but good luck finding decent ones that share your hobby, knowledge and have points of view that are relevant and worth working from.

Griffin is one of the "generic" mechs every state has access to (IIRC only the Capellans don't have a factory making them), though the Lyrans do have their own variant of it. There really isn't Lyran-specific medium mech in 3025 in the same way as Vindicator is for Capellans and Enforcer for Davions, though they do have Commando and Zeus in lights and assaults, and later Wolfhound and the actually good Banshee.

>>97822182
It's most heavily used by Dracs and Capellans, though FWL does produce it as well.

Speaking of merging stuff, the way I'd reorganize the army would be:
>HQs
>Major Officer (Captain, can be upgraded to chapter master, limit of 1 per army)
>Minor Officer (Lieutenant, can be "upgraded" to become a chaplain, librarian, techmarine, potential for other esoteric characters like 30k master of signals or praevians or stuff like that)
>Retinue (essentially bladeguard and all their chapter specific variations of 3/6 melee dudes with 40mm bases, they need a major officer to lead them)
>Troops
>Tactical squad (essentially current intercessors + assault intercessors but with boltguns, troop size 10-20)
>Tactical veteran squad (essentially classic tactical squads, less numbers but get access to special weapons)
>Assault squad (just the current assault intecessors with jump packs but with a non-retarded name and let them take eviscerators again for the love of god)
>Terminator squad (merge both squads, just keep the loadouts as they are but fix the distinction between hammers and power fists right now they are completely unbalanced)
>Vanguard vet (stays the same)
>Sternguard vet (their classic role has been aped by the primaris weapon squads, they need an actual niche using special rules, they currently are just so boring. This is where bolt rifles go)
>Special weapon squad (merges hellblasters, infernus and adds a melta/grav squad, but they should use the actual special weapons, no need for a +1 long primaris version when no other unit can take one for every dude anwyays)

I think GW is smart enough to retcon them enough so fix this issue when they release their refresh. My evidence is that they were smart enough to solve this issue for the custodes which came after them.
Maybe they will have a company of Deathwatch but for Librarians as >>97822293 says.
The reveal/retcon of the Terminus decree tells me they are thinking about GK fluff and are vey happy top change them at a fundamental level
>>
>>97822371
That's a good call and it makes me wonder:
What other sacred cows of faction identity do you think GW should just kill or retcon for the sake of a better and broader future? My personal feeling is that the Canis Helix might be one of them.

What campaigns have you made and how long did it take to flesh it out?
>>
>>97822264
I need some advice on how to be creative, my last two games were stolen premises from other media with me leaning into it once the players recognized some of the names.

How do you come up with a plot that feels original, or at least how do I combine the inspiration from multiple different sources in a more coherent way?
>>
>>97822264
I'm currently running an ACKS campaign based on the 30 years war. It took about 6 months to write and I've run 35ish total sessions across 3 tables with my primary table playing 29 of those. Plus some solo play party I ran for me. It'll never be totally fleshed out, that's just reality.

>What is Trench Crusade?
An alternate weird history 28mm/32mm tabletop skirmish game. Based on the art and lore of Mike Franchina, whose illustrations you may have seen floating around on /tg/ for a several years now, and designed by Tuomas Pirinen, one of the original creators of Mordheim. It's grimdark, it's visceral, and it's very Blanchitsu.

>What's the QRD on the background?
The Knights Templar turned heretic and opened the Gates of Hell when they took Jerusalem during the First Crusade. Over 800 years later the war is still ongoing as technology has developed to a pseudo diesel-punk WW1 standard and a third of Humanity has sided with the Infernal Princes.

>TC needs to recognize this if it wants to grow as an IP
This mindset is the actual problem.
TC was never designed to be anything more than a niche passion project made by a few guys for fun.
It getting out to the unwashed masses unironically is the biggest problem. If it had stayed among people who actually played tabletop skirmish games, you would have questions like
>How do we repair public perception of Trench Crusade?
because the people involved would know what it is on about.
Actual, real life faggots and mental fuckcases learning about the game is the biggest issue.
They should not have interacted with the 'fanbase' at all. Just release the game, the art, the lore, do not elaborate.

>Cyberpunk 2020 vs. Cyberpunk RED?
Cyberpunk 2020 is the second edition of the Cyberpunk TTRPG by R. Talsorian Games, set in a (then) future inspired by film noir and the dark science fiction films and books of the late 20th century. It focuses on simulationist gameplay and lethal near-future combat.

Cyberpunk RED is the latest edition of the Cyberpunk TTRPG, set after the devastating Fourth Corporate War. It focuses on more balanced, streamlined gameplay and is currently supported by R. Talsorian Games.

Even with the latest splat, the game still heavily incentivizes Linear Frame min maxing. It's nice to finally have other options after 6 years, but alot of the strongest guns still require Body 12 and no way to achieve it aside from frames.
>>
>>97822191
Sometimes I think about being Cyber-Legolas but I love guns way too much.
>>
>>97822200
how did I know I was talking to someone who would bring up linear frames? yeah if you spend a chunk of euro and humanity you get better. combat cyberware makes you good at combat in the cyberpunk game, news at 9. it's hardly minmaxing lol. is this the part where you bring up martial arts + linear frame?

>>97822215
Sure but 2000 eddies and like 28 Humanity is nothing on CC. Keep in mind the corp deal gives you 1500 to spend on Cyberware. It's the single best piece of gear in the game. Lets you DUMP your Body while also maxing it out, massively increasing your survivability and opens the gateway to the strongest combat options in the game.

It's the same issue as LAJ and Bullet Dodging, it feels like a mandatory thing you have to pick for your build with little alternative.

It's just a normal triggered Effect, you treat them like you would any other instance of multiple effects triggered at the same time. Which does mean the only thing about their effect that might stop you is the if clause, which is checked on activation. Since you draw a card on digivolution, there is a chance that the later ones will not be able to digivolve anymore because you have too many cards in hand.
>>

>aldamon described as 'a custom card made by jesus himself'
>>
>>97822231
the aldamon is insane
tamer is also incredibly strong
I was surprised how strong they were when I tried them, insane cards.

>>97822120
hoang and zero says a lot of really questionable stuff
I don't think imperial is t1, but lmao it isn't t4
its a tier 2 deck, if you really value not bricking ever, I can see calling it t3 but its hardest to find piece, pail, just got a second copy you are happy to run 4 of and now became its easiest to find piece, and it was always the piece you needed to find the most copies of for most of its combos
the discussion they had about DGO was really strange, its like neither of them knew what it did and understood how it works in imperial, zero literally not knowing what the card did and hoang saying playing it still gets you a rookie played down, no, it doesn't, it misses that timings. I don't think either of them have ever played either of the decks and I find it especially strange how they talked about how little value you get off DGO to find pieces when they have more than 1 tamer in the deck, DGO > bt3 davis is a lot of fucking search that provides instant value AND is still enough to do your DNA combo

probably the most egregious thing was the hudie glazing and them talking about how strong it still is and how it can still kill you just as fast
no, it simply is unable to kill on turn 2, if it giga high rolls and you don't play on board, it can kill on turn 3, but that requires it finding an unsearchable 1 of and a searchable 1 of, AND having way more setup, AND finding multiple hudies, AND getting down multiple tamers, which is simply unrealistic, id have to math it out to see if its even possible at all but its incredibly unlikely its even possible
the deck can kill on turn 4 at the earliest minimum now, its a chip deck now, as was intended, no OTK, and for how much they raved about OTK and then said hudie is good is absurd
the loop got killed, that was what made the deck strong.

We don't fucking know because we really only have vague description of his achievements when he was younger and few videos recorded when he was dying from cancer. It's impressive tho that week before dying he still was able to move and training daily.

The cinematic Ip Man? He was kind of cracked and machine gunning opponents with Wing Chun punches seems to be broken.
>>
>>97819948
>Ip Man was not actually a good fighter in real life
>Ip Man didn't regularly fought people
He was a high-ranking member of the police in Nationalist China before and during WWII, trained officers in hand-to-hand combat and riot suppression techinques, and went on to become a legend in 1950 Hong Kong during his old age, a place where people regularly beat each other to near death on rooftops. I'm quite sure he could, in fact, hand anyone's ass to them in a street fight, and that it took a long time doing exactly that to become so respected a master. Even the fucking commies, which he politically opposed all his life, have been forced to aknowledge he was a certified badass.

Are Tamiya horsehair brushes any good?

I find them a bit too thin out of the bottle for some techniques. Common problem with airbrush-friendly paint lines. Bought some of the earthy grey tones recently (reddish and dark sea) and the coverage is surprisingly bad over light grey primer. Glazing I'm sure they're excellent but sometimes I want thicker and to do fewer layers for the same end result.
